50% of Startups Fail to Raise Beyond Seed: Aspire Ignite to Help Startups Beat the Odds
SINGAPORE - Media OutReach Neswire - 25 March 2025 - Aspire, the all-in-one finance platform for modern businesses, today announces the launch of Aspire Ignite, a programme designed to help early stage startup founders overcome one of the biggest challenges in their entrepreneurial journey: securing investment beyond seed funding. The initiative reinforces Aspire's continued commitment to empower entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed in a competitive global landscape.
With nearly 50% of startups failing to raise beyond the seed stage globally, many promising ventures stall often due to a lack of mentorship, network access, and scalable growth strategies. Aspire has partnered with top tier global venture capital firms, including B Capital, Square Peg, Headline, Insignia Ventures, BEENEXT and many more to address these challenges by equipping founders with the insights and connections they need to navigate the competitive fundraising landscape with confidence through Aspire Ignite.
Over the course of three months, the Aspire Ignite cohort will participate in a series of expert-led fundraising masterclasses, designed to help them refine their pitch and investor engagement strategies. In addition, they will gain exclusive access to VC reverse pitch sessions, where investors share an insider view on what they look for in early stage startups. Lastly, selected finalists will be able to have one-on-one office hours with top tier investors, providing tailored mentorship to help startups secure their next round of funding.
"Too many great ideas never make it past the seed stage due to a lack of access and support,' says Andrea Baronchelli, CEO and Co-founder of Aspire. 'With Aspire Ignite, we're aiming to change that by giving founders the insider knowledge, investor connections, and resources they need to defy the odds and scale their businesses.'
"We are excited to be joining Aspire Ignite, a program dedicated to equipping startup founders in Singapore with the tools and expertise needed to secure investment beyond the pre-seed stage,' said Heng Xuan, Strategy & Operations Senior Associate of BCapital. Over the next three months, I look forward to collaborating with ambitious entrepreneurs and refining their fundraising strategies through expert-led masterclasses."
Aspire recognizes that as a startup's success isn't only hinged on strategic guidance and network access, it also requires the right tools and infrastructure to scale effectively. Aspire Ignite cohort members will receive over $200,000 in partner perks and benefits to help accelerate their growth. Additionally, finalists will be awarded $25,000 from Aspire, along with $500,000 in credits from leading partners such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and HubSpot, ensuring they have access to the best technology and services to build and scale their businesses.
To be eligible for Aspire Ignite, the startups must be incorporated in the Asia Pacific region and have secured pre-seed funding. Applications for Aspire Ignite are now open, the cohort begins on April14. Early stage startup founders can apply at https://aspireapp.com/aspire-ignite.

Aspire Enables Global Amazon Sellers to Maximise Earnings with Free and Fast Payouts
SINGAPORE - Media OutReach Newswire - 10 July 2025 - Aspire, the all-in-one finance platform for modern businesses, has announced that it is now officially part of the Amazon Payment Service Provider Program. With this integration, Amazon sellers can now receive payouts from Amazon marketplaces directly into Aspire's local currency accounts on the same day with zero payout fees and foreign exchange charges when receiving in the same currency. By eliminating two of the biggest pain points for global sellers: costly fees and delays, Aspire helps sellers keep more of their hard earned money. While millions of merchants leverage Amazon's global reach, cross border payments remain a major hurdle for them. Cross border sellers often face high FX costs, long wait times to access funds, and limited visibility over their cash flow, all hidden costs that can eat into their margins. The integration directly addresses these challenges, delivering a seamless solution that moves at the speed and scale of modern commerce. With Aspire, Amazon sellers not only enjoy fast, free payouts in their preferred currency, but also benefit from cashback when using Aspire corporate cards to spend on Amazon Ads and other digital platforms. "We're proud to be part of the Amazon Payments Service Provider Program, to empower global sellers with the tools they need to grow without friction in an increasingly interconnected global marketplace," said Andrea Baronchelli, CEO and Co-Founder of Aspire. "Sellers should be able to move their money as freely as they move their products. With this integration, they can finally focus on scaling their business, not chasing their earnings." Aspire's participation in the Amazon Payment Service Provider Program reflects its broader mission to simplify financial operations for global ecommerce merchants. With multi-currency business accounts, seamless marketplace payouts, corporate cards and FX optimization, Aspire continues to develop innovative tools that remove inefficiencies in global payments to empower global sellers. GEMS Education eyes international expansion with ‘school-in-a-box' model
GEMS Education has launched a major new global venture — GEMS School Management (GSM) — aimed at delivering high-quality, future-ready schools through partnerships with governments, investors, developers, and school groups worldwide. The GSM programme, already in advanced talks with stakeholders in eight international markets, is built on GEMS' 65-year legacy in K-12 education. It offers a complete, end-to-end school solution — from design and staffing to curriculum, safeguarding, and digital systems — enabling the rapid launch or transformation of schools in as little as 12 months. GEMS Education unveils 'school in a box' At the core of GSM is the ASPIRE model, a proprietary 'school-in-a-box' framework developed by leading GEMS educators. The model supports British, American, Indian, International Baccalaureate (IB), and local curricula, with comprehensive blueprints covering curriculum plans, architectural guidance, recruitment, training, technology, and hundreds of pre-built operational systems. Robert Tarn CBE, Managing Director of GEMS School Management, said: 'We're working with partners who want more than just good schools – they want schools that set benchmarks. GSM brings the full force of the GEMS ecosystem to the table – from outstanding educators and global best practice to fully costed, turnkey models. 'Whether you're a government, a developer, or a school group seeking to scale or improve outcomes, we are ready to help you deliver.' GSM is designed for flexibility, offering curriculum-aligned models for both premium and mid-market segments. Options include premium British or American schools and more accessible Indian or IB schools, all customisable to local financial, regulatory, and cultural conditions. In addition to new school builds, GSM offers enhancement contracts for existing schools and education systems. These partnerships allow schools to scale or improve performance, while accessing the procurement advantages and economies of scale offered by GEMS. Sunny Varkey, Chairman and Founder of GEMS Education, said: 'Every child deserves access to world-class education, no matter where they are. GSM is how we share our legacy, our expertise, and our belief in education's power to change lives with partners who share our vision. Together, we will build schools that shape not only futures, but nations.'
