Noatum Logistics acquires 152 long-haul trucks
The fleet expansion comes in response to Noatum Logistics' robust growth trajectory and strategic focus on managing customers supply chains across the region, while advancing its commitment to environmental sustainability, the company said.
The Mercedes Benz Actros advanced trucks will boost Noatum Logistics' regional transport capacity by 6,000 tonnes and grow its fleet from approximately 450 vehicles to over 600. While capable of handling containerised, reefer, and loose cargo, the vehicles will support customers across key industry sectors, including energy, polymers, food & FMCG, automotive, pharma & healthcare, and defence.
Furthermore, by generating significant fuel efficiency gains and reductions in Nitrogen Oxide and particulate emissions via its Euro 5 diesel engines, the acquisition also aligns with the company's sustainability agenda, which includes achieving Carbon Neutral status by 2050, it said.

With the delivery expected to be completed by end of Q2 2025, the new trucks will be integrated into Noatum Logistics' state-of-the-art Control Tower telematics system, a centralised platform that leverages GPS technology and onboard diagnostics, thereby allowing for monitoring of driver behaviour and management of vehicle movements in real-time. UAE Rescues Ship's 22 Crew Members After Red Sea Attack
The UAE announced that the Safeen Prism vessel, operated by AD Ports Group, responded to a distress call from the commercial ship Magic Seas after it came under attack in the Red Sea. AD Ports, key firms eye e-methanol bunkering facility in Kezad
AD Ports Group, a leading facilitator of global trade, logistics, and industry, has signed a collaboration agreement with Masdar, Advario and the CMA CGM Group to explore the feasibility for the development of a state-of-the-art e-methanol bunkering and export facility at Khalifa Port and Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad Group. The project will provide critical infrastructure to complete the supply value chain and bridge commercial e-methanol production with key off-takers, such as CMA CGM, in support of accelerating the decarbonisation of the global shipping industry. The agreement also reinforces the UAE-France strategic partnership, fostered through the High-Level Business Council held annually between both countries, further leveraging mobilisation of the private sectors to deliver sustainable economic development and partnerships.
