Ejada enhances public sector performance: H E Baowain
Speaking at the third session of the Communication Dialogue last week, organised by the Government Communication Centre, H E Baowain highlighted the system's role in improving efficiency and accountability in government agencies.
'The Ejada system has seen significant progress. Individual Excellence has been implemented in 67 government agencies, enabling performance evaluation based on criteria such as operational speed, leadership, and job satisfaction.'
The session brought together government officials, stakeholders, and members of the public to discuss labour and employment policies. H E Baowain also outlined ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities in the country.
Launched in 2023, Ejada has been designed to measure institutional performance in government units. It provides a structured framework for assessing progress, improving service quality, and fostering innovation. The system also aims to promote a culture of efficiency and reward outstanding performance in public administration.
H E Baowain informed that the draft Civil Service Law is in the legislative process and is expected to be adopted soon.

Tender floated for Nizwa-Bahla dual carriageway project
Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology clarified that the Nizwa-Bahla Dual Carriageway Project, for which the Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority has announced a tender, involves doubling the existing road from the Daris Roundabout in the Wilayat of Nizwa to the Jabrin area in the Wilayat of Bahla, within Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, with a total length of 40 kilometres. Sayyid Badr receives ambassadors of Lebanon, Egypt to bid them farewell
Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, on Tuesday received Albert Samaha, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic, to bid him farewell upon the completion of his diplomatic mission. During the meeting, Sayyid Badr expressed appreciation for the ambassador's efforts in strengthening cooperation and fraternal relations between the two countries, wishing him continued success in his future assignments. The Foreign Minister also received Khalid Mohammed Abdul Halim, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to bid him farewell as his diplomatic assignment concludes. CBO announces auction results of 75th GDB Issue
Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman on Tuesday announced the Auction results of the 75th Government Development Bonds (GDB) issue worth OMR72.70 million. According to a media release issued by CBO's Market Operations Department, the 75th GDB Issue, which received overwhelming response from investors, has received applications amounted to OMR150,779,300. The average yield was 4.28 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.055, while the highest yield was 4.30 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.000 and the lowest was at 4.10 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.560. The three-year Bond will be issued on Thursday (24 July 2025) and it will mature on 24 July 2028, carrying a coupon rate of 4.30% per annum.
