Oleksandr Usyk knocks out Daniel Dubois to regain undisputed heavyweight titles
Usyk, one of the finest boxers of this generation, secured a fifth-round stoppage, two years after beating Dubois via TKO in Poland.
The result kept the Ukrainian, 38, unbeaten, and saw him regain undisputed status atop the heavyweight division. Last May, he outpointed Tyson Fury to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 24 years, but he soon vacated the IBF title, and Dubois was elevated from interim IBF champion to regular champion. In Usyk's rematch with Fury in December, he again won on points to retain his other titles.
And the southpaw regained the IBF strap on Saturday (19 July), as he became a three-time undisputed champion overall; previously, the 2012 Olympic champion held all the major belts at cruiserweight.
For Dubois, 27, it was an unhappy return to Wembley, where he knocked out Anthony Joshua in September to retain the IBF gold.
It was also another loss to Usyk, who stopped Dubois in 2023 after climbing off the canvas following a controversial low blow. Dubois's team insisted at the time that the strike had been a legal body shot on Usyk, but an appeal to overturn the result failed.

Rowland targets multiple titles after Formula E breakthrough
LONDON, July 21 (Reuters) - After 11 seasons that have produced 10 different champions, Formula E's new title-holder Oliver Rowland believes the all-electric series has become less of a lottery and he can break with the past. The Nissan driver, who clinched this year's crown in Berlin on July 13 with two races to spare, told reporters ahead of his home British season finale at London's ExCel this weekend that the championship was fairer now. "In the early years we had this qualifying system which was just mental, where the top six in the championship went out on a track that was one second slower than (for) the next group and then half a second slower than the next group," he said. "You could never pull away in the championship. You would basically get in the lead and then just start last in the next race." In 2021, the last year before the Season Eight change, 18 drivers remained in title contention heading into the final two rounds. Seven of the 11 championships, including the first three, have been decided in the final race. Only Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne has so far managed to defend a Formula E crown, winning back-to-back titles in 2017-18 and 2018-19. The current qualifying splits drivers into two groups of 11 based on championship position, with odd numbers in one group and evens in the other, before the top four from each advance to knockout duels. "It's kind of much fairer and I think you have the opportunity to see people winning more back-to-back titles," said Rowland, 32. "I think it's a little bit fairer now in terms of not being as much of a lottery. I expect that you will see the same guys towards the front and more repeat winners moving forward," said Rowland. While this year's drivers' crown is won, Nissan are fighting Porsche for the team and manufacturers' titles. Rowland said his ambition for the future, without the pressure of chasing a first title, was to try to cement himself as one of the top drivers in the series. "It's a good motivation to have, to try and win three or four (titles)," he said.

Happy Valley star Sarah Lancashire to be honoured at Windsor Castle
Bafta-winning actress Sarah Lancashire will be among those honoured at Windsor Castle on Tuesday as she is made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). Lancashire, 60, is to attend an investiture ceremony at the royal residence after she was made a CBE for services to drama in the New Year Honours. The actress has won plaudits for her performances in TV shows including Happy Valley and Last Tango In Halifax, following her breakthrough role as Raquel Watts in soap opera Coronation Street during the 1990s, appearing in more than 260 episodes. After leaving the cobbles, Lancashire earned praise for her TV drama work including on the BBC's critically acclaimed Clocking Off from 2000 until 2003 – a series about factory workers. She earned her first Bafta award in 2014 for her supporting role in the BBC comedy-drama series Last Tango In Halifax. In 2017 she earned the best actress Bafta for her portrayal of no-nonsense Sergeant Catherine Cawood in the Yorkshire-set thriller Happy Valley, and became an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to drama. Also among the personalities to be honoured on Tuesday are cyclists Jenny Holl, Dannielle Khan, Emma Finucane and Katy Marchant. All four are being made Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBEs) for services to cycling. Holl, 25, and her tandem partner Sophie Unwin won two gold medals in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, while Khan, 29, piloted Lizzi Jordan to gold in the women's tandem 1km time trial. Marchant, 32, won Great Britain's first Olympic women's team sprint gold at the 2024 Paris Games, alongside teammates Finucane and Sophie Capewell. Paralympic swimmer Alice Tai is to be made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to swimming. Tai, 25, topped the 2024 Paralympic podium less than three years after opting to have her right leg amputated by winning gold in the women's 100m S8 backstroke. Penny Briscoe, the director of sport at the British Paralympic Association who also served as chef de mission for the fifth time in Paris, is to be made a CBE during the same ceremony for services to Paralympic sport.
