Gogglebox's Mary Killen admits she's addicted to vaping
Googlebox fan favourite Mary Killen has revealed she's become addicted to vaping, despite never having smoked cigarettes.
The star rose to fame in 2015 on Channel 4's Gogglebox as she and her husband Giles have the nation in hysterics every week as they sit down to watch the latest TV shows.
Despite knowing the ins and outs on their thoughts on the latest episode of Love Island, fans aren't privvy to much of the Gogglebox stars' personal life. However, Mary has now opened up about an addiction she just can't shift - vaping.
Mary, who says she was never interested in cigarettes, revealed that she picked the habit up two years ago, when her friends son, James, 22, offered her a puff of his Juul. "I loved inhaling the odourless air and blowing it out again. It just looked so chic and felt cooling in the palm of the hand," Mary wrote in her column for MailOnline.
James allowed Mary to keep the vape, and she later found herself buying replacement pods when it ran out. "I reasoned that it would be good if I were to appear to have at least one addiction.
"I would be 'levelling myself down', so to speak, in a way that could make me more socially acceptable in drinking circles," she wrote.
However, her habit doesn't come cheap, as she explained in her column that she "wastes about £14 a week on four Juul replacement pods." She then questioned how to break the expensive habit, which she also admits self-pitying and argumentative when she runs out.
Mary admitted she'd "probably kill or be killed by my family members," if she tried to go cold turkey - revealing that she was going to sign up to a course to help people quit vaping.
It's not the only revelation Mary has made in her column. Recently, she told viewers about her controversial sleeping arrangements, telling fans she and Giles allowed the dogs on the bed.
Mary and Giles met when they were both 21 years old while Giles was studying at Wimbledon Art School and Mary was working as a model. The pair have been blissfully married for over 30 years, most of which time they have spent living at their cottage in Wiltshire.
The stars share two grownup children who prefer to stay out of the limelight. However, it was actually one of Giles' daughters that were originally due to appear on the show with her dad before she backed out at the last minute.
After a lengthy phone call to producers, Giles managed to convince Mary to join the show - and the two have become fan favourites ever since their arrival.
Little more is known about Mary and Giles' daughters however it has been revealed that they are both grown and no longer live at home with their parents.

Now the Casa girls line-up has been announced, and it has been confirmed that was indeed Harry's ex. Emma Munro Starting the Casa Amor line-up is Emma Munro, a 30-year-old hydrogeologist from Norwich. She was previously in a relationship with original Islander Harry, who is now coupled up with Helena. Despite having history with Harry, Emma has her eyes on three different Islanders. Speaking to Love Island producers, she stated: "I'd say I've got my eye on a few. I think Conor, Harrison and Ben are my top three but I think I just need to get in there and see what the vibe is with everyone. You just never know." She's keen to get in the villa and explore connections with "all the boys" and is extremely open minded, rather than having a game plan. Yasmin Broom Yasmin Broom, who also goes by the name Yaz, is a 26-year-old DJ from Manchester. Speaking about entering the villa, Yaz says she doesn't have a game plan but she does know what she wants and who she wants. She said: "I have my eye on three boys: Harrison, Tommy and Conor. They all seem like they treat women really well, and they have nice personalities and nice bodies." Yaz was also apart of the girl band Four of Diamonds, who competed in the 13th season of The X Factor, so the music enthusiast is no stranger to TV. Rheo Parnell Next on the Casa line-up is Rheo Parnell, she is a 26-year-old ring girl from Neneaton. She has connections to past Islander Messy Mitch from season 10, as she is best friends with his girlfriend. She has her eyes firmly set on 22-year-old Harrison. She remarked: "He's cheeky and has a bit about him. I've noticed that he likes a bit of role play, which is interesting." "He keeps getting people to get up and act stuff out which is so jokes. I like his imagination." Lucy Quinn 21-year-old Lucy Quinn is the youngest of all six Casa Amor girls, she is a make-up artist from Liverpool. She is keen to get to know Tommy, after watching him on screens for the past month, even saying her dad likes him. She stated: "I want to find someone. I have my eye on one boy, Tommy. I think he's just a lovely lad and he's got good morals. I've been watching at home with my mum and dad. My dad said 'I think you should pick him.' So I want to listen to my dad on that one." Lucy also has a semi-famous relative, former X Factor star Ray Quinn, who came second place on the show in 2006 behind Leona Lewis. Lauren Wood Lauren Wood is a 26-year-old dog walker from York, and like most of the Casa girls she has her eyes on Harrison. Speaking about her game plan she said: "To win Harrison over. He is so my type. There are a couple of guys that take my fancy, but Harrison is the one I'm going in for." She is also keen on Dejon, but not sure if he is worth her while, saying: "Dejon is beautiful but I'm just not sure whether he's trustworthy... I think he thinks that no one can hear him when he goes on these dates, when actually he says different things to Meg,so I'd be very wary of him though he's beautiful to look at." Andrada Pop The final Casa girl is Andrada Pop, a 27-year-old personal trainer from Dublin. She seems set on what she wants and isn't afraid to get it, speaking about her game plan, she said: "My first instinct is to turn heads. Harry Cooksley is in for a shock in Sunday's episode of Love Island as his ex-girlfriend Emma Munro, 30, enters the villa. During a sneak peek at the end of Friday night's episode, six female bombshells were seen strutting onto the terrace, much to the surprise of the boys and the original girls - who were all still in the villa. It comes as The Sun revealed the identity of Harry's ex-girlfriend - after fans spotted a secret tribute to her. The Sun uncovered that the woman is named Emma, after viewers noticed Harry's wrist tattoo of the letter 'E' and began digging for clues online. Emma previously shared a sunset selfie to Instagram, where she was seen cosying up to Harry in matching baseball caps, hers bearing an "E" and, his, an "H". The image, which has since been deleted, was dated 18 April 2022. Emma also bears a striking resemblance to one of Harry's co-stars, sparking comparisons from fans who claim she looks 'more like Shakira than Helena', Harry's current partner in the villa. The 30-year-old has been at the centre of much villa drama throughout the current series. Fans previously branded him a "gaslighter" and demanded he be removed.
