The DreamCloud Classic Hybrid is one of America's most popular mattresses, while the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is a relative newcomer with a close resemblance. But which is best? Here's where we compare both mattresses to help you decide which might be your best bedtime option.
Both the DreamCloud and CopperFlex Pro promise to deliver a luxurious feel at an affordable price, and both mattresses are rated highly by our expert reviewers and by customers. You'll find the DreamCloud in our guide to the tried and tested best mattresses of 2025, where we rate it as the best affordable mattress and praise it for its pressure relief and back support as well as its temperature regulation.
While the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid hasn't yet made it into our best mattress guide, it's definitely a strong contender thanks to its effective cooling, zoned lumbar support and a luxurious pillow top.

We rate the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid as one of the best luxury mattresses if you're looking for something affordable. A queen size has an MSRP (or 'total value' as DreamCloud say) of $1,531, but there's little chance of you ever having to pay that, thanks to evergreen DreamCloud mattress sales. At the time of writing, the brand's up to 60% off Memorial Day sale makes the price of a queen $649.
At MSRP the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is a cheaper option, with a queen size coming in at $1,332. Again, regular Brooklyn Bedding mattress sales will bring the price down, but they're not as generous as DreamCloud's. You'll usually get 25% off, which drops the price of a queen size to $999.
It's worth keeping an eye on mattress sales from both brands, because if you buy at the right time you can get an even lower price. The cheapest we've seen the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid for recently is $599 for a queen, while Brooklyn Bedding occasionally ups its discount to 30%, which would reduce the price of the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid in a queen size to around $932.
Both mattresses come with a lifetime warranty and free delivery, however the DreamCloud has a more generous sleep trial period: you'll get a whole year to decide whether it's right for you, while with the CopperFlex Pro you get a 120-night trial.

There's up to 60% off at DreamCloud right now, which means you'll pay $649 for a queen size. That's a good price but it's not the cheapest we've seen it, and if you pick your moment you may be able to get it for just $599. Expect a lifetime warranty, 365-night trial and free shipping, too.
Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid Mattress: was from $932 $699 at Brooklyn BeddingThe CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is a new mattress from Brooklyn Bedding that combines a luxurious feel with advanced cooling. There's 25% off in the Brooklyn Bedding sale at the moment, dropping the price of a queen size to $999 — a fair price, but if you hold out for Brooklyn Bedding's occasional 30% discount you'll pay less. While you'll get the same limited lifetime warranty and free shipping, you'll only get a 100-night trial.
Once you start looking closely at these mattresses, you'll realize just how similar they are. They're both hybrid mattresses featuring quilted covers, multiple layers of foam and layers of 8-inch encapsulated springs.
The DreamCloud is ranked as most affordable in our best hybrid mattress guide, but you won't find the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid there; at least, not yet. So let's take a closer look at their makeup.
There are six layers to the 12" DreamCloud Classic Hybrid, including the bottom cover. On top you'll find a quilted cover featuring cooling fibers and a stitched-in foam layer, and under that there's a contouring memory foam layer and an adaptive foam support layer.
8" of individually-wrapped coils deliver tailored support and reduce motion transfer, and a thin layer of dense foam beneath that keeps everything stable. Finally there's a protective bottom cover to hold it all together.
The CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is similar, with some advanced cooling features. You get a Glaciotex cooling cover with 1.5" of quilt foam (making up a pillowtop) designed to relieve pressure, 2" of copper-infused memory foam, and 1" of transition foam sitting on top of a 0.75"-zoned lumbar support layer.
Ascension X coils promise similar benefits to the DreamCloud's springs (motion isolation and edge support) and, yes, underneath that you'll find a layer of high density support foam, plus of course a protective bottom cover.
In short: there's an extra layer to the CopperFlex Pro: the transition layer between the memory foam and the support foam. With the bottom cover, this gives it seven layers in total.
Another thing both these mattresses have in common is that neither of them have handles on the edges, which can make it tricky to maneuver them.
It's when you start looking at the comfort and support delivered by these mattresses that you'll start to get a feel for which option might be best for you.
On paper they're pretty close: the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid is rated a 6.5 medium-firm, while the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is rated a 7, so there shouldn't be that much difference, right?
However, in our DreamCloud Classic Hybrid Mattress review we found that in use, this mattress is a lot firmer than described; we think it's more of an 8, and we think that lighter side sleepers might struggle to settle into it at first, potentially benefitting from one of the best mattress toppers to soften things up a bit.
It's worth noting that we reviewed an older, 14" model of the DreamCloud (and are in the process of reviewing the newer version), but we don't think the changes in the current model will make an enormous difference to the feel.
Meanwhile, the back and stomach sleepers in our testing panel found that the DreamCloud delivered excellent pressure relief and support, keeping everything nicely aligned and alleviating lumbar discomfort. You'll note that we include the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid in our best mattress for back pain buying guide.In our Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid mattress review we found that it also performed well when it came to lumbar support, thanks to its zoned coil layer.
We also found that its rating of 7 for firmness was pretty much on the money; there's slightly more of a sink-in feel to this mattress, in part thanks to the plush pillow-top, and it's one that's better suited to side sleepers and lightweight combination sleepers, who also switch between back and stomach sleeping.
We felt it could also suit back sleepers, but heavier sleepers and stomach sleepers who prefer a firmer mattress may find that that the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is just a little too plush for their tastes.
Both mattresses performed well in our standardized motion isolation tests where we drop a 10lb weight at set heights and distances from an empty wine glass on the mattress.
For the CopperFlex Pro, the wine glass only moved when the weight was dropped from 12", while we saw slight movement on the DreamCloud Classic when the weight was dropped from both 8- and 12", but noted it was minimal. This indicates that these are both beds on which you're unlikely to be disturbed by a partner's nocturnal movements, making them great mattresses for couples.
We also found that both mattresses did well in our edge support tests, and our reviewer found that while there was some sinkage of the weight we used for these tests (3.5") due to the pillowtop, she could comfortably sleep right up to the edges on the CopperFlex Pro.
The DreamCloud Classic Hybrid saw less sinkage (about 1"), and lighter weight, smaller testers found the edge support sufficient, but our taller and heavier testers reported that that they considered it to be too weak for comfort.
Perhaps the biggest difference between the DreamCloud and the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is in their cooling properties. In short: the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid has a much stronger case for inclusion in our best cooling mattress guide.
That's partly down to its GlacioTex cover (the fibers of which have high thermal conductivity) which feels cool to the touch. It also helps that the CopperFlex Pro features a memory foam layer infused with copper particles that draw heat away from the surface and help to counteract the heat-trapping properties of memory foam.
The DreamCloud, on the other hand, is short on specific cooling properties; its cover is made with cooling fibers, but that's about it. Both mattresses benefit from deep sprung layers that will do a good job of circulating air to keep temperatures down, and none of our reviewers reported problems with overheating.
However our CopperFlex Pro Hybrid reviewer pointed out that she enjoyed a cool sleep experience even during a heatwave and after exercising.
✅ You're on a reduced budget: The DreamCloud's selling point has always been that it's a luxury mattress at an affordable price point, and it's considerably cheaper than the the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid.
✅ You're a back or stomach sleeper: Side sleepers – particularly lighter ones – may struggle to get comfortable on the DreamCloud. However if you generally sleep on your back and stomach you're going to get on very well with this mattress thanks to its outstanding support.
✅ You experience back or hip pain: The DreamCloud has a place on our best mattresses for back pain guide for good reason, it provides excellent back support and our testers who experience hip and back pain found it was reduced while sleeping on this mattress.
✅ You want a cooling mattress: The CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is designed to keep you from overheating, with a cool-to-the-touch cover and copper-infused memory foam, and it performs incredibly well when it comes to regulating temperature.
✅ You change position in the night: With a slightly softer feel than the DreamCloud, the CopperFlex Pro is suitable for all sleep positions, and because you don't sink deeply into it you won't have problems if you tend to switch position a lot as you sleep.
✅ You're looking for strong edge support: Even with the plush pillowtop, the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid still delivers great edge support. You'll be able to use the full surface of this mattress, and sleep right up to the edges.

13 Best Amazon Prime Day Deals on Mattresses and Bedding
Amazon's got pretty much everything, it seems—mattresses too! Here are our favorites that we've tested that are on sale. All products featured on WIRED are independently selected by our editors. As you may have noticed, mattress shopping holidays aren't limited to just Memorial Day, Labor Day, or even the Fourth of July anymore. Now that Amazon Prime Day is nearly a week long, it's become something of a holiday in and of itself, so it makes sense that mattresses (plus other bedding!) will be on sale too, both on Amazon and beyond. We've listed our favorite Prime Day mattress deals that someone on our staff has tested themselves and personally vouched for. Given the hybrid construction, the memory foams and coils weren't just supportive—they were very responsive. This kind of bouncy feel could be helpful for co-sleepers and combination sleepers who toss and turn a lot in their sleep. Molly also noted that while the bed's edge support was an actual letdown (meaning not the most sturdy), the policies definitely weren't. The DreamCloud Hybrid has free shipping, a yearlong sleep trial, and 'forever warranty' coverage against defects. Plus, now it's on sale! Woo-hoo! I know matcha lovers everywhere just perked up, and yes, the Zinus 12-inch green tea memory foam mattress does indeed contain green tea. WIRED reviewer Molly Higgins also gave this bed a go and found it to be a bit too firm for her smaller stature. Some people swear by the power of the Plank, and two of those people happen to be testers on WIRED's team. Reviewers Adrienne So and Nena Farrell have both spent time with this flippable, super-firm bed. Both find that it is the firm feel that plays a crucial role in maintaining spine support and keeping it from slipping and dipping into odd angles. The king-size version of the Plank Firm is on Prime Day special. If you're willing to leave Amazon, our favorite mattress ever is on sale right now with Helix's Dream Day Sale that, funny enough, will run the length of Prime Day. The Helix Midnight Luxe is a fantastic all-around mattress that we find ourselves always recommending, and you can shop others we love from Helix on sale, too. This mattress is crazy firm, even our achey side sleeper loved sleeping on it. WIRED reviewer Nena Farrell recommends sleeping on this mattress if you have back pain, and while she loved the firmest option for her spinal needs, other WIRED reviewers have confirmed the medium firmness is also much firmer than you'll find elsewhere. It's on sale and a great option for back support of all kinds. Birch makes a ton of organic bedding we like, from mattresses to mattress toppers, and like Helix (since they're sister sites!), it's running an onsite Dream Day Sale until the end of Prime Day. Score our favorite organic mattress from Birch's lineup, the Birch Luxe Natural, on sale during the event. Best Prime Day Bedding Deals After testing nearly 30 different pillows, our testers still can't stop raving about Coop's pillows. Our resident side sleeper pillow tester, Nena Farrell, says she always comes back to Coop's cut-out pillow when she isn't testing something new, and she's gotten this pillow for both of her parents. Score one for yourself on sale! Our favorite pillow from the Best Pillows guide comes from Purple, and it's on sale right now. The Freeform Adjustable Pillow (and the similar, but not adjustable, Purple Harmony that's also on sale) got loft and spring like no other pillows we tried thanks to the high-density memory foam and polyester fill that gives it a malleable center, and our spring panel all voted for Purple as one of their favorites they tried during the testing session. There's also a gel grid layer that wraps around the pillow to keep you cool, and felt like a quilted pillow to our testers. $105 $75 (29% off) Amazon What was once an impulse purchase has turned out to be one of the best sleep-related purchases I've made to date. These cooling bamboo sheets feel just as buttery and luxurious as some pricier brands out there that I've tried. Plus, they're on sale for Prime Day—the hard part will just be picking out what colorway you want. Lots of sheets will claim they're cooling, but WIRED reviewer Nena Farrell has found that if there isn't good breathability, no promise of phase change material technology will keep you cool. Slumber Cloud's Tencel sheets are one of the only sets she likes with both PCM technology and a breathable (yet super soft!) design that will actually keep you cool all night long. I see this thing all over TikTok, and I already know that silk has a lot of benefits for skin and hair health. If it's the same targeted ads for you, now's the time to find out for yourself if it's the pillowcase of your dreams. As for WIRED reviewer Louryn Strampe, she mentions that the silk's soft slipperiness (say that three times fast) is awesome, and the zipper keeps it from sliding right off her pillow. Cozy Earth's bamboo sheets are some of the softest bedding you'll ever try. These bamboo sheets are chilly and silky, but still have a cozy feel to them that you won't find in other sheets. They're a splurge, but right now you can use the code WIRED to get them for over $100 off on Cozy Earth's site. They're available on sale on Amazon, too. Coyuchi's sheets are seriously soft, and organic to boot. They'll be a new pick in our next update to the Best Organic Sheets, and WIRED reviewer Nena Farrell can't get enough of sleeping on the Cloud Soft Organic Sateen. While just the sateen sheets aren't on sale, the sateen bundle is, which includes a duvet cover and shams to go with the sheet set. Because of its combination of memory foam and coils, it can hug your curves and provide a decent amount of pressure relief but doesn't lack durability. It also features gel-infused foam to help regulate body temperature as you sleep, making it a solid pick for hot sleepers as well. Note: This bed is available only at third-party retailers like Amazon. Why It's A Good Deal: This is the lowest recorded price we've seen for this mattress. MOST POPULAR We've been reviewing DreamCloud's beds for a few years now, and the Premier Hybrid is a tried-and-true pick that's known for its cushy-yet-supportive feel that's ideal for back and combo sleepers. Snag the 'original version' of this bed on Amazon for extra savings (price featured); it includes a cashmere-blend cover and gel-infused foam unlike the newer model. While it's no longer featured on our best lists, save for our best mattresses on Amazon roundup, this mattress is a decent choice for budget shoppers or occasionally used beds in guest rooms.
