Rights Network Condemns Houthi Militia's Burning of Farms in Dhala'
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms has strongly condemned the Houthi militia's burning of farms belonging to citizens in the Mures area north of Dhala'. The network held the Houthi militia fully responsible for this heinous crime and the resulting human and material damages.
The network called on international and UN bodies to take immediate action and exert real pressure to stop the crimes against civilians, activate accountability mechanisms, and ensure impunity from punishment.
The network said that targeting and burning farms is classified as a war crime under international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, and constitutes a serious violation of the right to property and decent living.
