As Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro make relationship official, all the signs you missed they were together

Cosmopolitan2 days ago
It's a match made in movie star heaven! Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro just made their first official public appearance together at Wimbledon, in matching tennis white outfits, essentially confirming their relationship.
The pair, who have thought to have been dating since earlier this year were spotted attending Wimbledon in matching white outfits and walking hand in hand to the match in Wimbledon's centre court where they were joined by fellow A-Listers Erin Doherty, Charithra Chandran, Maude Apatow and Poppy Delevingne.
Andrew, 41, is notoriously private about his love life, having previously told Esquire in October last year, "I have never, and I won't ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone, ever." This was around the time it was speculated he had split from then partner Dr Kate Tomas.
Since the breakup Andrew kept a relatively low profile, up until January earlier this year when rumours began swirling he was dating Monica Barbaro, 35, who you will know from starring in A Complete Unknown alongside Timothée Chalamet.
So now six months on from that initial first picture together, here's all the clues you've missed that the pair have been dating.
At the start of the year Andrew and Monica were first photographed together while attending a W Magazine party. The pair were in a photograph with Eddie Redmayne and W Magazine editor-at-large Lynn Hirschberg. In the photograph Andrew had his arm around Monica's waist.
A month later the pair were then seen attending Jonathan Bailey's performance in Richard III in London.
The next day a source claimed to People the couple were now dating, they said: "They've been really lowkey and have been spending time together quietly."
On the movie industry's biggest night, the pair both attended the Oscars, where Monica was nominated for a Supporting Actress Award for her role in A Complete Unknown.
The pair walked the red carpet separately but at the same time, which lead to some fans theorising they may have traveled to the ceremony together.
They both then attend the Vanity Fair after party, where they were pictured leaving the event together.
Later that month, Instagram account Deux Moi shared a number of pictures of the couple going grocery shopping together in Malibu.
Eagle-eyed TikTokers spotted Andrew and Monica going on holiday together in Kyoto Japan.
On the first Monday in May, Monica made her Met Gala debut and while Andrew didn't attend the iconic red carpet with her or go at all, he did in fact show his support for her by waiting for her in her hotel after she came back.
In a video taken by Cosmopolitan Andrew was seen looking eager for Monica's arrival and hugged her when she arrived.

After months of speculation the couple confirmed their relationship by walking hand in hand to Wimbledon where they watched the seventh day of the iconic tennis tournament.

Kesha Tore Her ACL on Stage Mid-Performance — and Finished the Show: 'I'm a Bad Bitch'

Kesha revealed that she previously tore her ACL on stage while performing at a festival in Dubai The singer said she was accused of being drunk for the performance, when instead she was injured Kesha's new album . (PERIOD) is out nowKesha revealed that she once tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while performing live on stage – and that she still finished the performance. Kesha, 38, spoke about the injury on Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky on Tuesday, July 8. The singer, who released her new album . (PERIOD) on July 4, opened up about the pressure to perform through the painful injury earlier in her career. "It was hard for me. I remember I tore my ACL on stage. That was brutal, and in like song three or something. I was playing a festival in Dubai and I tore my ACL and I f------ got up and I played guitar and I sang and I finished the f------ show," the "Your Love Is My Drug" singer said. "Are you serious?" Lewinsky, 51, asked. Kesha responded, "Yes. 'Cause I'm a bad bitch," to which Lewinsky laughed. The singer then elaborated, "But I wake up the next day and I'm like, 'Wow, I am such a f------monster badass. And I wake up and there's an article on TMZ saying I was drunk at the show." "Wow," Lewinsky responded. Kesha then clarified, "Literally, Abso-f------lutely never have one drink before a show ever. Well, I did one time, the first time I played Lollapalooza in 2009. And after that, I literally did that one time and I was like 'Okay I'm never doing that again. I'm never drinking before a show.' " "So like things like that have hurt me and that people think that I don't know that [they] hurt my feelings," Kesha said. "I'm sorry for what you've had to go through," Lewinsky responded. Kesha then reflected on the harsh nature of the public eye that both she and Lewinsky experienced. Lewinksy was famously embroiled in an affair scandal with former President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s that led to intense cyberbullying in the early ages of the internet. This later inspired Lewinksy's mental health advocacy work. "And like would we both be sitting here had we not gone through those things? Probably not. And it has made us into the people that we are. And you seem like a f------- badass. I know I'm a f-------badass," Kesha said. GOP lawmaker gets engaged to Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) is engaged to Jacqui Heinrich, a senior White house correspondent with Fox News. Heinrich confirmed the engagement herself in a post on the social platform X on Tuesday that featured a link to a People magazine exclusive article on it. 'Fact check: true,' Heinrich said in her post. According to the People article, when Fitzpatrick asked to marry Heinrich in France late last month, Heinrich answered in the affirmative. People reported that Henrich said that the proposal from Fitzpatrick came in a lavender field at sunrise. Heinrich also said that, according to People, a prior Boston Globe interview laid the foundation for the proposal, with Henrich saying during the interview she had had a dream for a while to visit the French Riviera 'to eat the baguettes, see the lavender fields, drink the wine and eat the butter.' Heinrich has previously been the target of an attack from President Trump, with the president saying in March that he had 'watched Jacqui Heinrich from Fox over the weekend and I thought she was absolutely terrible.' 'She should be working for CNN, not Fox. Not surprisingly, I later found out that she's a fan of the White House Correspondents Association!' he added in a Truth Social post. Heinrich in February sharply criticized the White House's decision to take over the press pool from the White House Correspondents Association. She was backed at the time by the longtime Fox News political commentator Brit Hume.

Jacqui Heinrich of Fox News fact-checks the story of her own engagement: ‘True'

Jacqui Heinrich, senior White House correspondent for Fox News, just vetted the story of her own engagement to U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick on Tuesday. The verdict? It ain't fake news. The Pennsylvania Republican asked Heinrich for her hand in marriage in a lavender field in Provence, France, according to People. Promoting that story, the journalist wrote on X, 'Fact check: true.' Then she tacked on a couple of appropriately lovey emojis. 'The cooking was the dealmaker. Congrats Jacqui!' Fox News contributor Joe Concha said in comments. Chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst chimed in with, 'Love this news,' while Jessica Tarlov, who speaks for Democrats on 'The Five,' wrote, 'Ahhhhhh congratulations!!!' Fitzpatrick popped the question on June 29, People reported, before he had to hustle back to vote on the just-passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act. His inspiration came from something Heinrich told the Boston Globe last summer, ahead of the 2024 election: 'I've always dreamed of eating my way through the French Riviera and Provence, with sun-drenched days at the lavender fields punctuated by crisp wines and salty butter.' So Fitzpatrick, 51, booked a summer trip to France as a birthday gift for Heinrich, who turns 37 in November. But the journalist was concerned, she told the celebrity outlet, that her beau would have to cut the trip short to vote against Trump's bill, which the president signed into law on July 4. Did Fitzpatrick want to postpone the trip, she wondered? 'He was like, 'We are going. We're going to the lavender fields. All I want is to see the lavender fields at sunrise,'' she told People. 'All the time I've known this man, he has never been desperate to see a field of flowers at dawn. So I had a feeling that [a proposal] was the goal.' What was supposed to be a 10-day trip was whittled down to only a couple of days. After arriving in Nice, France, they drove two hours in darkness to catch the sunrise in the town of Valensole, known for its lavender and truffles. The town is built into a hill overlooking a small river valley, and a lavender festival is held there annually on the third Sunday in July. But the OBBBA waited for no sweet-smelling shrub, so attending the festival was definitely out. Fitzpatrick had an agenda. He stopped at one particular lavender field and suggested Heinrich go for a stroll while he took some photos of her, she told People. As she took in the view, a photographer and a drone appeared, she said, and Fitzpatrick was asking her to marry him and presenting a ring he had procured from her family's longtime jeweler. The photos, as seen on the outlet's website, are lovely. Heinrich, who has been dating Fitzpatrick since the 2021 Kennedy Center Honors, said yes. 'I love his brain,' Heinrich told People of her fiance, a five-term congressman who was previously an FBI special agent and federal prosecutor. Fitzpatrick was also embedded with U.S. Special Forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom, according to his biography. 'I love the way he approaches problem-solving and solving complex issues. He's strong and a man of faith, who brings me closer to God.,' Heinrich said. 'He's sweet and gentle and kind — all of the easy qualities in a person that just make him a joy to be around and life brighter.' There's also a handy little bonus in this pairing, as revealed on the congressman's website: Should Heinrich find herself in need of an attorney, a certified public accountant or an emergency medical technician, she's definitely covered, because Fitzpatrick is licensed as all three.
