Rasha Nahas returns with a cinematic track about survival, recorded between Berlin and Brooklyn with a global team of collaborators.

Palestinian artist Rasha Nahas has just released 'Ghanneeli غنّيلي' (Arabic for Sing For Me), a poetic and deeply emotional track capturing the surreal weight of living through an ongoing global crisis. Built on themes of resilience and longing, the song is a lyrical meditation on holding on, despite it all.
Recorded between Berlin and Brooklyn, the track features synthesizer work by experimental artist Fly My Spaceship and was co-produced with bassist and longtime collaborator Jelmer de Haas. The sonic landscape is subtle yet expansive, weaving ambient textures with a voice that trembles with quiet strength.
The music video, shot by Dana Durr and produced by Nahas herself, blends dreamlike visuals with grounded emotion. The visuals mirror the track's aching stillness, transforming the song into a visual poem. As one of the track's verses reads:
With 'Ghanneeli غنّيلي', Nahas reaffirms her place as one of the region's most emotionally articulate voices, merging sound and poetry in the face of silence.

Local Voices Wanted: Anime Dubbing Contest Highlights Saudi Dialects

The Saudi Dialects Dubbing Contest by Manga Productions is open to anyone across the Kingdom, whether you're from AlUla, Asir or the Eastern Province. If you've ever mimicked a cartoon character or narrated a scene in your head, this might be your moment. Manga Productions is rolling out a nationwide contest asking Saudis to lend their voices - and their dialects - to animation. The Saudi Dialects Dubbing Contest is open to anyone across the Kingdom, whether you're from AlUla, Asir, or the Eastern Province. Participants will dub scenes from 'Asateer2: Future's Folktales', the popular animated series that's already racked up over 150 million views. What makes this contest different? It's all about authenticity. Instead of standard Arabic, contestants are encouraged to use their everyday dialects, bringing a local flavour to characters and offering a new kind of cultural representation on screen. The winners may be tapped to work on upcoming projects with Manga Productions, one of the region's leading animation studios. So whether you're an amateur voice actor or just someone with a distinctive accent and a love for cartoons, this is your chance to speak up - literally. Registration is open now via the Saudi Dubbing website.

Netflix and Shahid Launch First Joint Subscription in Middle East

Netflix and Shahid will now be offered in one subscription for the first time, starting in Saudi Arabia and expanding across the Mena region. Netflix and Shahid are now available through a single subscription in Saudi Arabia, following a new partnership between the streaming platform and MBC Group. This marks Netflix's first regional bundle deal in the Middle East and North Africa and includes access to both platforms through MBCNOW, MBC's content hub launched earlier this year. The package brings together Netflix's international catalogue and Shahid's Arabic-language content. MBCNOW will also include access to MBC's linear TV channels. The joint subscription is available both online and through major retailers in Saudi Arabia, with plans to roll out to the Gulf and wider region after the summer. Netflix's inclusion adds further content variety, with shows, films, documentaries, and live events. MBC Group says the bundle offers over 21% savings compared to individual subscriptions.
