Suria KLCC's Picnic in the Park returns with vibrant festival
Running until July 6, the event offers an urban escape with curated activities, dining, and entertainment.

'Picnic in the Park is our way of celebrating shoppers with a unique city retreat,' he said.
The 2025 edition features rustic décor, a Glam Bar for festival styling, and a retro combi van serving snacks and photo opportunities.
Exclusive access is granted to shoppers who spent RM3,000 or more in two receipts between June 13 and 29.
Eligible guests receive a picnic pass for four and RM80 in F&B e-vouchers. Limited to 75 groups daily, the festival runs from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Attendees can explore an open-air festival ground adorned with sheer canopies and greenery.
Activities include face painting, beaded accessories, DIY drinks, and coffee tasting. KLCC Park offers a tranquil setting with tipi tents and macramé décor.
Live performances by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, buskers, and drum circles will entertain guests, culminating in the Lake Symphony Fountain Show.
Food and beverage partners include Imperial Chakri Palace, TGI Fridays, and Gong Cha, while brands like Kiehl's and HOKA provide giveaways.

KUALA LUMPUR - Beyond his reputation as one of Indonesia's most powerful voices, Cakra Khan leads a private life shaped by compassion and quiet devotion. He believes that every animal that comes into his home is a blessing to be shared. "I always try to do something, even if small, so I can feel useful. I've never been afraid of running out of money to care for them. I believe there will always be a way," said the singer, who also enjoys gardening as a form of self-therapy after long work days. Meanwhile, Cakra will be performing a more intimate-style concert in the Divine Concert - Cakra Khan at the Plenary Hall, KLCC on Aug 2, following a similar concert at The Star Theatre, Singapore on July 18. After that, I focused more on singles because the promotional strategy suited me better. But as a singer, I still want to leave behind something lasting, which is why this album means a lot to me. Some songs are emotional, others are joyful,' said Cakra, who recorded the album in several locations including Bali and Bandung, Indonesia. Kuching youth among participants of Young Creator Fellowship 2025
Telford hopes to use the fellowship to amplify rural voices and push for more inclusive national narratives. KUCHING (July 5): Telford Engan Tan, a 19-year-old youth advocate and law student from Kuching, has been selected as one of the Top 10 Malaysians to participate in the Malaysiakini Young Creator Fellowship 2025. According to The Sarawak Initiatives (TSI), Tan earned his spot in the fully funded programme following a rigorous two-day media training workshop in Kuala Lumpur and a storytelling video pitch titled 'Young Change-Maker'. 'The highly competitive national programme, aimed at nurturing the next generation of journalist-influencers and content creators, received over 120 entries from across Malaysia,' said TSI in a statement. Tan, who serves as an 'Aspiring Leader with TSI', said he hoped to use the fellowship to amplify rural voices and push for more inclusive national narratives. 'My pitch is focused on unity, cultural heritage, and indigenous identity, told through the lens of Sarawak.' In this aspect, TSI said: 'More than just storytelling, youth participation in journalism empowers us to question, reflect, and shape the narratives that define our future. We need more young Sarawakians to be aware and involved. The fellowship, to be running from July 16 to 18, will include visits to national media outlets such as Media Prima, RTM, Astro Awani and Bernama. Participants will also receive one-on-one mentorship from award-winning journalists. Tan is expected to present his video project at Monash University Malaysia before senior editors and policymakers, and will compete for a share of RM17,000 in awards.
