Former Chinese Military Doctor Leaks CCP Plan to Use Taiwanese Troops as Organ Bank
A former Chinese military doctor, who witnessed the Chinese communist regime's crimes of live organ harvesting, has warned that Beijing has outlined an intent, as well as the equipment and technology, to extract the blood and vital organs of surrendered Taiwanese troops in the event of a Taiwan invasion—in violation of international laws dictating the humane treatment of prisoners of war.
Zheng Zhi, a former Chinese military doctor currently living in exile in Canada, traveled to Taiwan to answer audience questions at screenings of the award winning documentary 'State Organs' from June 4–15, which features Zheng's eye-witness account of the regime's forced organ harvesting crimes as a military doctor in China.
The documentary, directed by Raymond Zhang, focuses on the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) systemic forced live organ harvesting that primarily targets Falun Gong practitioners in China in its more than two decades long persecution of the faith group that teaches living in accordance to the universal principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. The live organs-for-profit industry has become a massive industrial-scale supply chain facilitated by the CCP's extrajudicial powers in China, bringing in a huge amount of money for the regime.
Lion Films, the Taiwanese distributor of 'State Organs,' invited Dr. Zheng as a special guest.
Zheng and Ming Chu-cheng, an honorary professor of political science at the National Taiwan University, spoke at the post-screening Q&A session after the Taipei screening on June 4. Hsu Chih-chieh, a legislator in the Legislative Yuan of the Republic of China (Taiwan) who was the main promoter of a legislation to combat and prevent organ harvesting, also came to the event to show support and call for joint efforts to end the atrocities by the CCP.
Zheng said he was happy to visit Taiwan and to contribute to protecting it from the CCP.

'I hope everyone will support the Legislative Yuan in passing the 'Anti-Organ Harvesting Act.' For the sake of the more than 23 million Taiwanese people, I am willing to travel to every region to tell everyone that I hope the evil of organ harvesting will no longer harm Taiwan,' Zheng said.
'The CCP's organ harvesting is real, and it's killing people on a large scale by taking their organs. This is horrific.'
Surrendered Taiwanese Soldiers as Potential Organ Bank
Zheng revealed that 'the CCP military makes a combat plan against Taiwan every year.'
'Once a war breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, the greatest pressure for them will be on logistics support because millions of troops may be mobilized to the front line of the Taiwan Strait,' he said. 'In addition, two to three million logistics personnel will be needed to provide support in order to fight.'
He said that from the CCP's view, 'the most difficult part of the logistics to supply the front is the storage, refrigeration, and transportation of blood, as many soldiers will be bleeding or burnt in combat. So blood supply will become the biggest pressure.'
For that reason, 'the CCP's military came up with a solution,' Zheng said. 'That is, when attacking Taiwan, they planned to put the surrendered Taiwanese officers and soldiers in detention and draw blood from them and give it to the wounded CCP soldiers, and also take pieces of skin from the Taiwanese soldiers and transplant them to the burnt CCP soldiers.'
So if communist China invades Taiwan and the Taiwanese military surrenders, 'the first thing they will face is having their blood taken by the CCP because the Chinese military needs a large amount of blood locally,' Zheng warned of the extent of the CCP's military plans.
No Morality, 'No Technical Barriers'
Zheng said the regime has turned its back on morality and basic ethics.
'The CCP no longer has any bottom line of how to treat human beings. As long as the Taiwanese military surrenders or they are still alive, they are the best blood supply bank and organ bank for the CCP,' Zheng said.
China has 'no technical barriers to harvesting organs from the surrendered Taiwanese troops who are alive,' considering 'current medical technology and the CCP's organ harvesting industry chain,' according to Zheng.
'It is quite easy. It's just a matter of the number of living people to be 'killed on demand,'' Zheng said.
He added that the CCP's military, the PLA, has developed modular blood processing equipment, 'including blood testing and blood processing equipment, all of which are placed in containers for easy transportation.'
When the CCP starts to invade Taiwan, 'it can be quickly transported to the front battlefield via container trucks, airplanes, etc., and can be set up immediately, just like a 'field hospital,'' Zheng said.

Professor Ming agreed in the Q&A that 'the bottom line of the CCP's thinking is far lower than we imagined.'
'I just heard Zheng Zhi say a lot of things, which are still beyond my imagination,' he said, referring to the CCP's leaked plan to use surrendered live Taiwanese soldiers as a blood and organ bank in the event of invasion.
Ming said that he was shocked after watching 'State Organs' to learn that live organ harvesting is still happening in China.
He noted, as Zheng said, that the CCP's organ harvesting crimes are 'killing people on demand.' He said he wants to tell those Taiwanese people who are ready to surrender to the CCP in the hope of saving their lives that this may be the fate that awaits them.
Lawyer Chen I-shen told The Epoch Times, responding to the CCP's military plans revealed by Zheng: 'Taiwanese, do you think you will be safe after surrendering to the CCP? Absolutely not!'
'What the Taiwanese can do is to unite and fight against the CCP! Let more people know the truth about the CCP! Only by fighting against the CCP can we protect a democratic and free Taiwan! Only then can there be true peace!' he urged his compatriots.

China Research Ship Spotted on NATO's Doorstep
China continues to expand its military reach around the world as one of its naval ships was seen transiting the Strait of Gibraltar and heading into the Atlantic Ocean over the weekend. The presence of the Chinese navy near NATO member states comes as the United States has dispatched an aircraft carrier-led strike group from the East Coast for a mission in Europe. Newsweek has contacted the Chinese defense and foreign ministries for comment by email. The Chinese military possesses the world's largest navy by hull count, with more than 370 vessels in service-enabling Beijing to flex its military muscle both within and beyond East Asia. In January, a Chinese three-ship flotilla concluded a 339-day overseas mission, during which it carried out escort missions, port visits and war games across Asia, Africa and Europe. Situated between Morocco, Spain and the British overseas territory of Gibraltar, the Strait of Gibraltar serves as a passage for about 300 ships daily. American warships, along with those of other NATO allies, frequently transit this key strait as part of their operations. A Chinese Type 636 distant-ocean survey ship crossed the Strait of Gibraltar westward from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday afternoon local time, according to Daniel Ferro-a Gibraltar-based user on X, formerly Twitter-who photographed the ship. This type of Chinese naval vessel collects oceanographic and meteorological data to support chart production and the development of forecasting systems as the country's navy expands its geographic operations, according to a report prepared by the U.S. Naval War College. The mission of the Chinese survey ship-operated by the People's Liberation Army Navy-remains unclear. It is also not clear whether the vessel-which, as Ferro noted, is "a long way from home"-will make any port calls during its deployment in the Atlantic Ocean. Before the Chinese navy's transit toward the Atlantic Ocean, the U.S. Navy deployed USS Gerald R. Ford-the world's largest aircraft carrier-from Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia on June 24 for what the service described as a "regularly scheduled deployment" in Europe. The aircraft carrier forms a strike group with the destroyers USS Mitscher, USS Mahan, USS Winston S. Churchill, USS Bainbridge and USS Forrest Sherman, providing "increased capacity" to deter adversaries and project power on a global scale, the U.S. Navy said. It remains to be seen whether the Gerald R. Ford will move further east to the Middle East following strikes between the U.S. and Iran. Two other U.S. aircraft carriers-USS Nimitz and USS Carl Vinson-are in the region, according to U.S. Naval Institute News. A report prepared by the U.S. Naval War College in 2018 said: "The geographic expansion of Chinese naval operations has created intense demands to speed mastery of the 'ocean battlespace environment' in new ocean areas. Some of these demands are met by the [People's Liberation Army Navy] itself. The Chinese Navy, like the U.S. Navy, possesses a corps of meteorologists and oceanographers that support the fleet." U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Paul Lanzilotta, the commander of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, said in a news release on June 24: "Our force stands prepared and ready to execute sustained, multi-domain operations at sea, wherever and whenever tasked, in support of American security and economic prosperity." China is expected to continue deploying its naval fleet across various oceans to challenge U.S. naval dominance and assert its influence. China's Rival Receives Anti-Ship Boost From US
Taiwan, a self-ruled island claimed by China, has reportedly received missile launch systems from the United States that are designed to sink invading ships. An official from China's Defense Ministry said last week that Beijing opposed any form of what he called "military collusion"-including arms sales-between the U.S. and Taiwan. Newsweek has contacted the Taiwanese Defense Ministry for comment by email. While the U.S. has maintained diplomatic ties with China since 1979, it is required by law-under the Taiwan Relations Act-to provide the island with defensive arms to "resist any attempt to resolve differences" across the Taiwan Strait by means other than peaceful ones. China possesses the world's largest navy by hull count, including amphibious ships designed to project air and ground power in island-landing operations. Beijing has vowed to reserve all "necessary" options, including the use of force, to achieve unification with Taiwan. Citing a source familiar with the matter, the Taiwanese Central News Agency reported on Saturday that the first five Harpoon anti-ship missile launcher vehicles-part of the Harpoon Coastal Defense Systems-had been delivered from the U.S. to Taiwan, along with a radar truck. Newsweek has been unable to independently verify this report. In 2020, the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced that the U.S. would sell 100 Harpoon Coastal Defense Systems and up to 400 RGM-84L-4 Harpoon Block II surface-launched missiles to Taiwan at an estimated total cost of $2.37 billion. According to its manufacturer, Boeing, the Harpoon Block II missile is armed with a 500-pound penetrating high-explosive warhead and is capable of striking ships more than 77 miles away. Taiwan is scheduled to receive all of its Harpoon Coastal Defense Systems by 2028. During a news conference on June 26, Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, a spokesperson for the Chinese Defense Ministry, denounced Washington for "misleading Taiwan into the flames of war" through arms sales, adding that such actions harmed Taiwan and undermined the island's interests. In its arms sale announcement in December 2020, the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency said the "highly reliable and effective" land-based Harpoon anti-ship missile system would help Taiwan counter or deter maritime aggressions, coastal blockades and amphibious assaults. "The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region," the agency said, describing the Harpoon missile as an anti-surface warfare weapon with "day, night, and adverse weather, standoff air-to-surface capability." Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, a spokesperson for the Chinese Defense Ministry, said at a news conference on June 26: "We urge the U.S. side to abide by the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiqués, and stop sending wrong signals to the 'Taiwan independence' separatist forces." The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in an announcement in 2020: "This proposed sale [of Harpoon Coastal Defense Systems] serves U.S. national, economic, and security interests by supporting the recipient's continuing efforts to modernize its armed forces and to maintain a credible defensive capability." It remains to be seen whether Taiwan will request additional ship-sinking weapons from the U.S. as Washington continues to arm its allies and partners in the western Pacific Ocean-including Australia and Japan-to counter China's growing naval threat. Trump tariffs could dampen July Fourth fireworks for 2026
As Americans prepare to light up the skies this Fourth of July, the fireworks industry is sounding the alarm: without tariff relief, the nation's 250th birthday celebration in 2026 could be in jeopardy. Why it matters: A looming tariff burden on Chinese imports is sparking fears of higher costs, supply shortages and even canceled shows. "If the tariff increases again back up to triple digits — let's say 145% — it will cripple this industry," Julie Heckman, executive director of the American Pyrotechnics Association, told Axios. The big picture: 99% of consumer fireworks and 90% of professional display fireworks used in the U.S. come from China, Heckman said. A 25% to 145% tariff imposed under a trade provision known as Section 301 is adding strain to the supply chain and pricing. China typically halts fireworks production during hot summer months due to safety risks, narrowing the window for U.S. importers to place and receive orders. Zoom in: Bruce Zoldan, CEO of Ohio-based Phantom Fireworks, told Axios that his 100 stores have seen a big surge in recent days. Over the weekend, Phantom also opened 1,600 seasonal stands and tents. "People are starting to buy now," he said, noting sales are almost 30% higher per day than last year. "If you wait until July 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, half the merchandise is sold out and the lines are long." Phantom — the nation's largest consumer-based retail fireworks company, supplying thousands of stores nationwide like Home Depot — received 85% of its inventory prior to tariffs, Zoldan said. "There could be a few minor changes, but for the most part, our prices are stable with the last year," he said. "Now, going into next year that's another story." State of play: Industry leaders say they need an exemption like the one President Trump granted in 2019 to move forward with planning for 2026 and beyond. "Thirty percent is not sustainable — not going into what we think will be the biggest celebration, consumption of fireworks ever on record," Heckman told Axios. "This isn't political for us," Heckman said. "We support the president 100%, and themajority of firework entities and their customers — the folks coming in to celebrate Independence Day — they are his base." The other side: The White House pushed back on the fireworks industry's plea for tariff relief. "Real prosperity and patriotism isn't celebrating the independence of our country with cheap foreign-made firecrackers and trinkets," White House spokesman Kush Desai said in a statement to Axios. "It's having a country with booming Main Streets, a thriving working class, and robust manufacturing." Yes, but: Heckman said moving fireworks production stateside is impossible, especially for 2026. "Even if we brought some manufacturing back to the U.S., it wouldn't be optimal," Heckman said, noting it's highly dangerous, labor-intensive and regulated. "We could never produce the volume the U.S. relies on for celebrating Independence Day." What's next: Heckman said her organization has been advocating on Capitol Hill and has a meeting in late July with the U.S. Trade Representative's office. "Right now, we're at a standstill," Zoldan said of the fireworks industry. "We're getting close to the point where we have to place our orders for next year, and they have to start manufacturing right after Labor Day." Zoldan said any delay past Labor Day for submitting orders means a certain percentage won't be manufactured in time to get to America.
