Who is replacing Fever's Caitlin Clark in All-Star starting lineup?

The post Who is replacing Fever's Caitlin Clark in All-Star starting lineup? appeared first on ClutchPoints. The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game was supposed to be an Indiana Fever showcase, but Caitlin Clark's untimely groin injury put an unfortunate wrench in those plans. However, while Clark will watch the game from the bench, her absence creates an opportunity for teammate Kelsey Mitchell. Mitchell was ultimately chosen to replace Clark in the All-Star Game starting lineup, according to Indy Star reporter Chloe Peterson. Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes received her first All-Star nod in Clark's stead, but will come off the bench, with Mitchell taking the vacant starting spot. Mitchell will start next to Sabrina Ionescu, Jackie Young, A'ja Wilson and Aliyah Boston for Team Clark. Young is also replacing an injured Satou Sabally. Sykes will come off the bench with Gabby Williams, Kayla Thornton, Kiki Iriafen, Brionna Jones and Sonia Citron. Team Clark will face a starting lineup of Napheesa Collier, Paige Bueckers, Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray and Nneka Ogwumike for Team Collier. Courtney Williams, Skylar Diggins, Alyssa Thomas, Angel Reese, Kelsey Plum and Kayla McBride make up Team Collier's reserves. The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and will be broadcast on ABC. Although Clark will not be playing, she will be on the bench and assisting Sandy Brondello with coaching her team. Kelsey Mitchell headlines Fever's 2025 All-Star representatives Without Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell became the Fever's top player during All-Star weekend. However, as hosts of the 2025 annual event, Indiana was well represented. Not only will Boston join Mitchell on the court for Team Clark, but sharpshooter Lexie Hull also participated in the three-point contest. Hull replaced Clark, who was expected to make her debut in the event. Despite Hull's season-long success from deep, she did not fare well in the contest that eventually went back to Ionescu. The Fever's most interesting gimmick of the weekend will certainly be backup guard Sydney Colson, who is making her stand-up comedy debut at Fever Fest on Saturday night. Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, the event will commence shortly before the All-Star Game at the Everwise Amphitheater. Fever's Caitlin Clark's candid confession on missing All-Star Game

The post Fever's Caitlin Clark's candid confession on missing All-Star Game appeared first on ClutchPoints. Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark has already become one of the best players in the WNBA despite only being in her sophomore year. Selected as the starter and captain for this year's All-Star game, Clark impressively made the list despite struggling with a groin injury for much of the campaign. The same injury eventually proved to be her undoing as she sat out of All-Star festivities, despite this year's event being held at the Fever's Gainbridge Fieldhouse. 'Yeah, I mean certainly unfortunate and there's been quite a few injuries over the course of, beginning this season for quite a few people. So, a lot of people in the same boat as myself. Even my team has dealt with some injuries tonight,' Clark said ahead of the game. The Fever superstar joined Satou Sabally in the list of injuries from Team Clark, with A'ja Wilson also doubtful due to a wrist injury. Still, CC not only plans to assist the New York Liberty's Sandy Brondello, who will be coaching Team Clark, but is also looking to enjoy the weekend. 'I mean I am not going to say I've just getting around-the-clock treatment, I've been still trying to enjoy this weekend and having a balance of that at the same time and soaking all of this in and you know, once tomorrow comes around I will completely shift my focus to getting as healthy as possible,' she said. Clark, who has battled injuries throughout her rookie campaign, underwent imaging Wednesday and is listed day-to-day by Fever coach Stephanie White. The groin injury adds to a growing list of ailments, including previous issues with her left quad and groin. She has now missed 10 regular-season games and one Commissioner's Cup final this year. This is uncharacteristic for the guard, who had never missed a college or pro game until this season. Fever's Caitlin Clark's WNBA All-Star Game arrival has fans going bonkers

The post Fever's Caitlin Clark's WNBA All-Star Game arrival has fans going bonkers appeared first on ClutchPoints. Caitlin Clark may have unfortunately missed out on playing at the 2025 WNBA All-Star game, despite it being held at the Indiana Fever's Gainbridge Fieldhouse. However, that does not mean she will not be the center of attention during the All-Star weekend as well. CC is attending the event to support Team Clark, which is being coached by the New York Liberty's Sandy Brondello. And as a matter of fact, her entrance at the arena is already grabbing eyeballs. In a short clip, Clark can be seen arriving at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse wearing a wearing a black coat, skirt and heels. A range of social media users immediately responded by labelling her ready to become a coach, although some were more worried about her playing career. Perhaps rightfully so. Before this season, Caitlin Clark was yet to miss a single game in her college or WNBA career. However, in addition to Commissioner's Cup Final, Clark has already missed 11 games this campaign. And while that may be worrying, most users were instead focused on CC's look for the day, and thought she looked to ready to coach Team Clark. Apart from the team captain, Clark's side will also be without Satou Sabally. The two have been replaced by Brittney Sykes of the Washington Mystics and Brionna Jones of the Atlanta Dream. Clark, speaking ahead of the game, had claimed that it was unfortunate, even though she claimed that she still planned to make the most out of the All-Star weekend. In what is proving to be a difficult season also due to her patchy shooting form, the All-Star break does provide relief in what will continue to be a jam-packed campaign. Clark is currently averaging 16.5 points and 8.8 assists per game, and only the latter is an improvement from last season. She averaged 19.2 points and 8.4 assists per game last season, and will be hoping to recuperate and return to her best speedily.
