Chilling moment intruder inspects naked woman with his torch as she slept next to her partner in Marbella home as brave victim who released video describes 'recurring nightmares'

Daily Mail3 days ago
This is the chilling moment a home intruder spent over half an hour watching a woman as she slept naked in her Costa del Sol home.
Homeowners Pilar and Alex found that they had been burgled after 300 euros went missing from their home in Marbella on June 2.
But while the couple reviewed their CCTV, they made an even more disturbing discovery after footage showed how a masked thief stood over their bed as they slept.
In the sinister clip, the burglar was seen returning multiple times to the couple's room throughout a 32 minute period.
But the thief appeared to fixate on Pilar, with the video showing him repeatedly flashing his torch over Pilar's body.
'He entered our bedroom eight times to look at my private parts', she told local media.
The thief is said to have taken 300 euros from the couple's home, but did not steal any other valuables, leading Pilar to believe that his intentions were not to rob the couple's home, but rather to prey on her as she slept.
Pilar's 18-year-old son was also sleeping in the room next door at the time of the incident.
'That man didn't come to my house to steal, he came to do something to me', she told local media.
'I was alone the night before. What if he'd come then?'.
Her partner Alex expressed how Pilar 'felt violated' and called the thief a 'sick predator'.
Pilar has also told of how the terrifying ordeal has affected her psychologically, and described how she now suffers from recurring nightmares and has to sleep with all of her doors and windows closed.
She is also undergoing psychological treatment to cope with the trauma she has suffered, she said.
Local police are now investigating the case and are analysing the security footage to identify the suspect, but no arrests have been made yet.
It is believed he entered the house through a terrace door.
The horrifying incident in the Spanish resort comes as British expats have been warned to beef up their security systems after falling prey to a 'terrifying' burglar who remains at large.
Chilling footage shows the moment a man in a mask and a grey hoodie breaks into a series of villas between San Pedro de Alcantara in Marbella and Benahavis.
The brazen thief, dubbed the San Pedro Prowler, is seen picking locks with a sharp implement, which locals said he could use as 'a weapon if he needs it to be'.
The menacing figure then calmly walks off with his hands filled with goods, including luxury handbags and jewellery.
Among the recent stolen items include €10,000 in cash and a €30,000 watch.
The robber appears to be wearing no shoes and just have socks on during his raids, seemingly to avoid alerting anyone inside the house to his presence.
Neighbourhoods he has targeted include Guadalmina, and La Quinta, in upmarket Benahavis.

I'm happily married with kids but I've been keeping a shocking secret from my wife for six years - do I tell her?

A happily married dad has dropped a shocking bombshell about his secret double life. Alex*, believed to be from New Zealand, confessed he cheated on his wife with another woman six years ago when he was on a six-month work trip. 'We ended up having a kid together,' the man, whose voice had been altered as a disguise, told The Edge Breakfast during the Truth Booth segment. 'I had a child with another woman that no one knows about.' Radio hosts Ash London, Clinton Randell and Dan Webby were lost for words as the unfaithful dad explained how he had been living with guilt all these years. Getting it off his chest for the first time, Alex admitted he still struggles to wrap his head around the secret, knowing deep down it would destroy not only his marriage but also his relationships with friends and family. 'I've been married for over 10 years with children,' he explained. Reflecting back, Alex said he had an extramarital affair six years ago while working overseas for six months. 'I found out about five years ago that we ended up having a kid together,' he said. 'Not to mention the fact that it's financially draining me, and I almost feel like this will come out at some point... it needs to. It's a bit tricky.' Alex said he's been quietly sending the other woman payments to support their son, which has taken a financial toll on him. 'My wife has pointed that out, and I've just said I'm investing more into my investments, which I guess technically is true because his future is my investment,' he said. He then made another surprising revelation - he has never met his love child in person - only through videos. 'At first I didn't believe it, but then my child has a birthmark that is virtually identical to mine and my mother's, which kind of passes down through genetics,' he said. The radio hosts tried to put a 'positive spin' on the situation, with Dan suggesting that Alex was 'partly a good person' for supporting his secret child financially. When asked if he could ever see his worlds collide, Alex said: '100 per cent. Honestly sooner rather than later. 'My heart is beating a mile a minute right now because I don't even know how to approach the situation to be quite honest,' the dad confessed. 'I would absolutely love to meet my son, and I would like my son to be a part of my life and my children's lives.' Ash chimed in with her advice on what Alex should do. 'I don't know you from a bar of soap and you don't know me, but I'm just going to speak as a wife and a mother... You need to tell your partner,' she said. 'This will eat you alive. And we have one life. Every day that you go on keeping this secret is a day less that you have a relationship with your child. 'They don't know their parent. The longer you leave it, I feel the worse it is. Human beings are complex, but we're also forgiving, and I think truth and light is always better than darkness.' Alex said he feels a sense of 'dread' and 'relief' by the thought of coming clean. 'I ultimately feel it would be beneficial for all parties, maybe not right now or six months or five years down the line, but at some point it is, I've got to rip the band-aid off,' he said. 'It's quite challenging.' He said he knows his wife will be 'heartbroken' when the day finally comes that he confesses. 'All things aside, I would call myself a good father and a good husband, despite the obvious,' he said. 'I've been feeling I'm keeping something that I would cherish, you know, a secret. And it's just, it's really not fair.' Ash was brought to tears as the dad explained how he just wanted to tell his wife the truth but was afraid of the consequences. 'I feel like the trust is quite literally irreversible, irreversibly broken and it's unfortunate,' Alex said. 'God knows I would do anything to rectify it and to move forward, but it's literally juggling my current family and my wife with the child who I want in my life.' After his confession, Alex said he will eventually come clean to his wife. 'I can definitively say I will inevitably and 100 per cent bring this to light,' he said.

Where to watch the ‘One Night in Idaho' documentary

On 13 November 2022, the tight-knit community in the Idaho town of Moscow were left reeling after the murder of four college students. University of Idaho undergraduates Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, were stabbed to death at their home in the middle of the night. Their two other roommates, Bethany Funke and Dylan Mortensen, were the only people in the house to survive. After a seven-week manhunt, the now-convicted mass murderer Bryan Kohberger was found at his family home. For three years, he professed his innocence before switching his plea to avoid the death penalty, just weeks before he was due to stand trial. The police revealed little about the investigation owing to a gag order in place, which was lifted by the judge ahead of the sentencing. But many questions remain unanswered, including the motivations behind his attack. In a bid to put the victims and their families front and centre, directors Liz Garbus and Matthew Galkin have made a four-part documentary titled One Night in Idaho: The College Murders. It follows the family and friends of the victims in the aftermath and explores the impact of social media sleuths during high-profile cases. Here's everything you need to know about it, including where to stream. What is 'One Night in Idaho: The College Murders' about? The four-part series recounts the night of the murders, where four students were stabbed in their off-campus house in the quiet town of Moscow. Exploring the aftermath of the killings, it features the grieving family, friends and wider community. The documentary features exclusive interviews with Stacey and Jim Chapin (parents of Ethan Chapin), and Karen and Scott Laramie (parents of Madison Mogen), none of whom have previously been interviewed about the murders. The directors of the series – Liz Garbus and Matthew Galkin – wanted to shake up the true crime format by putting the victims at the forefront, rather than the suspect. Across four episodes, One Night in Idaho also explores the impact and damage of internet sleuths who became obsessed with the case, some of whom attempted to sneak into the University's classes and dorms, and others even into the roped-off house. Where to watch 'One Night in Idaho' in the UK All four episodes of One Night in Idaho are now available on Amazon Prime Video. If you're not already a member, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial. After that, a Prime membership costs £8.99 per month or £95 per year. Alternatively, you can subscribe to Prime Video alone for £5.99 per month.

Teen killer gives shocking prison interview after helping Republican lawmaker's daughter murder her father

A Las Vegas killer who helped his then-girlfriend murder her father insisted he is 'not a monster' in a jailhouse interview as he said he hopes to someday be paroled. Aaron Guerrero, 20, was convicted alongside his former girlfriend Sierra Halseth after they brutally stabbed, dismembered and burned her father Daniel Halseth in April 2021. Guerrero, who was 18 at the time of the slaying, said he and Sierra, then-16, decided to kill Halseth because he mistreated his daughter, which the victim's family insist is completely false. In his jailhouse interview, Guerrero said he was suffering from mental health problems at the time and wasn't taking his medication. 'I would pretend like I would take it, and I feel like that has some form or impact in what happened,' he said in an interview with 8NewsNow. Guerrero added that he was taking LSD often at the time of the murder, and blamed the psychedelic drug for exacerbating his mental health problems, leading to the murder. 'I don't think I would have been capable of something like that had I been sober, because it's a psychological drug as most people know, and when you have a mental illness it only makes it worse,' he said. Both Guerrero and Sierra were sentenced in 2022 to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 22 years, and he said that if he is ever freed, he hopes to show the Halseth family he is a better person. Sierra Halseth, then-16, left, and Aaron Guerrero, then-18, right, are pictured in their mugshots after being arrested for murdering her father Daniel Halseth in 2021 When asked how he could ever make up the brutal murder to the Halseth family, Guerrero responded: 'By proving to them that I'm not a monster. '(And by showing) that I still have potential to be a functioning member of society and can benefit society.' When Sierra and Guerrero were caught for Halseth's murder three days after his burnt body was found in his Las Vegas home, shocking footage the couple filmed while on the run captured international headlines. They were seen cuddled up in bed together, with Guerrero kissing his girlfriend on the head and saying: 'Day three after murdering somebody.' 'Don't say that on camera!' she responded. Halseth was the ex-husband of former Republican state legislator Elizabeth Halseth, Sierra's mother. The couple had a public divorce and custody battle, and prosecutors said that he had a fraught relationship with Sierra and the murder came after he tried to forbid her from seeing Guerrero. Explaining the casualness of their reaction to the murder in the infamous footage filmed days later, Guerrero now says that he is not proud of the footage. 'We were both trying to cope with what happened and we, I can't say for Sierra, but personally I feel guilt every day,' he said. The brutality in Halseth's murder stunned the nation, with detectives finding that the father was stabbed 70 times before his body was cut up by construction tools. His remains were found stuffed in a sleeping bag in the garage of his home, which had been set on fire. Asked how the murder unfolded, Guerrero did not go into specifics, but said: 'She got the weapon first and I always carry a weapon, so you know that's what led to what happened after that.' Sierra is locked up in Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center in North Las Vegas, while Guerrero is spending his sentence at High Desert State Prison, just a 40 minute drive away. But Guerrero said he has no plans on ever speaking to his former girlfriend again, and said he is filled with regret over how he got swept up in their teen relationship. 'I think I acted more out of impulse than what you could call love,' he said.
