Serena Page, Leah Kateb, and More ‘Love Island USA' Alums Weigh In on JaNa and Kenny's Split
JaNa and Kenny were one of the strongest couples to come out of Love Island USA season 6, and the two even star on Peacock's Beyond the Villa. Earlier this week, the two abruptly split and fellow Love Island USA alums began unfollowing Kenny, raising eyebrows and grabbing the attention of fans everywhere.
To recap: JaNa confirmed the split in an Instagram story shared Tuesday, July 29, and while she didn't give a reason for the breakup, she did tell fans that it was 'terrible, disgusting, and disappointing.'
Meanwhile, Kenny put out a statement of his own on Instagram, writing in part, 'Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term.'
You'll be shocked to learn that these vague platitudes did not help his case. In fact, Kenny's response prompted Charmane Smith (a close friend of JaNa's) to post on her page, seemingly implying that JaNa had found incriminating information on Kenny's phone with messages like, 'I don't like black women, I thought I would get more money from this, I'm faking this relationship, going on the show would be for clout, I can't wait to be done w this so I can fuck hella b*tches.'
Charmane's Instagram has since been made private, but JaNa's other close friends—including Love Island USA season 6 alums Leah, Serena, Liv Walker, and Kaylor Martin—followed, calling Kenny out and publicly declaring themselves #TeamJaNa.
Serena Page Comments on JaNa and Kenny's Split
Serena (aka one of JaNa's best friends and member of the PPGs) kept things civil, asking fans to remember that 'it may just be tea for y'all but that's not the case for us.' That being said, she made it clear on which side she stands, writing, 'Y'all already know how I'm coming behind JaNa, and TRUST so does he.'
Leah Kateb Calls Kenny 'Racist' on Instagram
Leah Kateb—the third Power Puff Girl in season 6's Love Island USA trio—also weighed in on Instagram. Leah reposted JaNa's response to Kenny, in which she called her ex a 'manipulative liar,' and added her own two cents.
'@kennyrodriguez Put a sock in it ChatGPT headass,' she wrote. 'Tell the truth for once! Racist, clout/money hungry and a scammer since Day 1!!!!!' She also sent a message of support to JaNa, telling fans not to worry, 'Our Nay is blessed and highly favored.'
Leah followed up a bit later, sharing what appears to be a text from her to an unnamed recipient, saying, 'This is the month of clout chasers I guess??' On her Story, she annotated the text, crossing out 'chasers' and writing 'demons shall I say.' She also declared the events of the week, 'Mercury retrograde taking out the trash.'
Liv Walker Exposes Kenny's 'Chat GPT' Statement
Liv also criticized Kenny's statement, sharing it on her Instagram Stories. 'Your pathetic excuse for a story is laughable. I can't even put into words how good of a person Naynay is and how hard it is [to] watch her go through something like this,' she wrote. '@kennyrodriguez I hope this gives you the clout you always wanted you fucking loser.'
Liv was so unimpressed by Kenny's statement that she decided to go straight to the source, asking Chat GPT if it thought AI had written Kenny's response. The answer, per her Instagram: 'Yes.'
Kaylor Martin Calls Kenny 'A Poor Excuse of a Man'
And of course, Kaylor also weighed in, sharing a screenshot of JaNa's response to Kenny and adding, '@kennyrodriguez is a poor excuse of a man. You lost the most beautiful genuine soul. Shame on you.'
Kendall Washington Supports JaNa on Instagram
Most of the Love Island USA season 6 men have yet to comment publicly, though almost all of them have unfollowed Kenny on Instagram. Kendall, however, showed his support for JaNa on Instagram, sharing a video of the two dancing together with the message, 'Love you forever Nay Nay.'

Ex NJ teacher roasted after claiming she was traumatized by Sydney Sweeney ad
She used Sydney's rump for a trauma dump. An ex New Jersey teacher-turned-lifestyle influencer is getting roasted online for turning Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle ad into a therapy session, with a post claiming she feels unattractive because of her skin color — and a repost of it, calling her a 'professional victim,' went viral. 'For me, I can't help but think about the 13-year-old brown girl who gets all of her denim at American Eagle, who already struggles to see her beauty and worth in a world that continues to value white, Eurocentric beauty standards,' said Payal Desai of Medford in an Instagram video on Tuesday. Her clip was reposted on X on Wednesday by media personality Colin Rugg — with the caption, 'The professional victims are relentless' — and it's already racked up 10.6 million views and masses of criticism. 'If your self worth crumbles at the sight of Sydney Sweeney in jeans, I've got news for you: The problem isn't whiteness. It's you,' one X user wrote. 'The American Eagle ad triggered your childhood trauma? Because Sydney Sweeney is blonde and beautiful?' someone else asked. 'Girl, that's not oppression, that's insecurity, and you need to handle that in therapy, not social media. I'm a mixed Latina, and I think she looks absolutely stunning.' 'This was probably just a grift by her to get everyone to tell her she is pretty,' Rugg, who has 1.8 million X followers, added. Desai called the 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' ad campaign 'especially off-putting.' Desai, 39, whose parents are from India, grew up in Allentown, PA, according to NJ Advance Media. In her reactionary post, which garnered 284,000 views on her Instagram page, @payalforstyle and over 88,000 on her TikTok handle, she spoke about her difficulty finding herself pretty in her 'predominantly white community.' 'I really wasn't gonna weigh in on this, but here we go. It is so difficult to grow up as a person of color, specifically a woman, and view yourself as beautiful in any sense of the word growing up in this country,' she began in the video to her 441,000 followers. 'I remember growing up in a predominantly white community wishing myself out of this body, out of this culture. Take my name if it meant that I could wake up blonde-haired and blue-eyed, never having to explain who I am or worry about being accepted. That is why this American Eagle ad with Sydney Sweeney is especially off-putting.' This is not the first time Desai, a former eighth grade teacher who left her job to pursue full-time content creating, has gone viral. In 2023, Desai amassed millions of views for her series on TikTok dubbed 'No Dusty Sons,' where she teaches her two young boys lessons that will one day benefit their future partners. Desai has disabled comments on her now-infamous Instagram post.

After a bout with COVID, Josh Gad, says he'll perform Sunday in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar'
It felt like 2022 all over again, when Josh Gad took to Instagram to express his heartbreak about contracting a 'virus known as COVID,' and his decision to pull out of playing King Herod in the highly anticipated production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' at the Hollywood Bowl, which staged its first night of a three-night run, Friday. Gad hinted that maybe — if he tested negative — the situation might change. The following day, however, John Stamos announced on social media that his weekend 'just got biblical' and that he was stepping in for Gad in the show. On Friday, things got extra dramatic when Gad announced that he had tested negative. Fans on his social media clamored to know what that might mean, but he stayed mum until Saturday when he posted a photo of himself in an elaborate gold lame costume with the words, 'See you all Sunday night.' A rep for the Los Angeles Philharmonic said that final confirmation that Gad will step onto stage won't come until noon, Sunday. Stamos appeared onstage as Herod on Friday night, bringing some comic relief to an electric, deeply emotional show. After one of star Cynthia Erivo's solos, the audience clapped so loud, long and reverently, that tears came to the singer's eyes — which only caused the crowd to cheer harder. The moment of symbiotic love lasted for at least 3 minutes, maybe more. The Bowl was packed with marquee names, including former Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Jim Carrey and Ted Neely (who played Jesus in the 1973 film adaptation of the musical). Erivo brought composer Andrew Lloyd Webber onto the stage as a special guest during curtain call. Still, Gad fans were many — you could tell because they held Olaf dolls and wore Olaf jewelry — and they could be heard expressing their sorrow at the absence of Gad in the crush of the crowd after the show. Gad's addition to the cast, which included Cynthia Erivo as Jesus, Adam Lambert as Judas and Phillipa Soo as Mary Magdalene, was hailed by fans; and in an interview with The Times during rehearsal, Gad spoke about being beyond excited to perform at the Bowl for the very first time with a stellar cast that he called The Avengers of musical theater. 'I've wanted to play the Hollywood Bowl forever,' said Gad. 'But I never thought I was good enough to play the Hollywood Bowl,' he added with a self-deprecating smile Even though the role of King Herod entails a single song — a kind of comic interlude that Gad likened to the part of King George in 'Hamilton' — Gad showed up at as many rehearsals as possible before he came down with COVID. He just liked sitting on the sidelines soaking up the scene and the incredible talent on display, he said. At a Saturday rehearsal before the show, he filmed numbers on phones for various cast members and cheered his heart out. His sense of excitement was infectious. Now he'll get one night to give 'King Herod's Song' his all.

Tom Holland reveals new Spider-Man suit in 1st look at 'Brand New Day'
Marvel fans just got their first official look at Tom Holland's new Spider-Man suit for the upcoming movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. In a video released Saturday morning, Holland steps out in a redesigned costume featuring brighter red and blue colors and a larger spider symbol across the chest. The reveal came one day after Holland teased the update on Instagram for National Spider-Man Day with the caption, "Something brand new is coming…" The next morning, the full look dropped with the message, "Are you ready? – 7.31.2026." In addition to Holland's return, Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner, also known as the Hulk, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The film marks Ruffalo's first major appearance in a Spider-Man movie and comes 14 years after he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in "The Avengers." Plot details for "Brand New Day" are still under wraps, but the title and costume suggest a fresh chapter for Peter Parker in the MCU.
