Galileo's Bar and Starlight Atrium: A peek at Regent's new Prestige class

Travel Weekly08-05-2025
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has provided a glimpse the Seven Seas Prestige, a ship expected to arrive in late 2026. It will be the first ship in a new class for Regent.
The luxury line provided video and photo renderings of the Starlight Atrium and nearby Galileo's Bar.
The Starlight Atrium will connect decks four and five with twin spiral staircases and feature seating beneath a towering, glass-enclosed ceiling. The staircases combine on deck 5, and then rise to deck 11.
Another seating area on deck five of the atrium will offer ocean views. Featuring alcoves with sculptural furniture and curated art, the space was designed with a "neutral palette of dusty rose, taupe and cream. With embellished trims and fringed pillows, the alcoves hearken back to old-world detailing," Regent said.
Regent said the Starlight Atrium's designer, Studio DADO, drew on "inspiration ranging from classical and Renaissance architecture." Studio DADO also was the interior architect for Regent's Explorer-class ships.

"The Starlight Atrium is where the grandeur of Renaissance architecture meets modern luxury, creating a space that feels both timeless and contemporary," said Yohandel Ruiz, Studio DADO's founding partner. "Our goal was to get people to stop in their tracks, awe-struck by its sheer scale and magnificence."
The atrium will connect with Galileo's Bar, the Casino, Prestige Lounge, Meridian Lounge, Coffee Connection, concierge desk and reception area.
The reception area on deck 5 will feature pleated leather panels and a light fixture crafted from handblown glass and ceramic pearls.
Galileo's Bar will have a canvas ceiling reminiscent of an oil painting, Regent said. The walls, clad in a limestone texture, will be adorned with sconces designed to resemble jewelry.

The bar will be strategically placed to serve guests in the casino and the Prestige Lounge.
Regent said Galileo name is a nod to the Seven Seas Navigator, a ship that will soon depart the line's fleet.
The 822-passenger Seven Seas Prestige will be the line's first new ship since the Seven Seas Grandeur debuted in late 2023. The Grandeur was the third Explorer-class ship, following the Seven Seas Explorer (2016) and Seven Seas Splendor (2020).
