‘Excellent quality' Radley handbag that fits a laptop for work has £180 off
There's nothing better than nabbing yourself a bargain, and when that bargain manages to save you a couple of hundred pounds, it's hard to resist. With Amazon Prime Day in full swing, there are plenty of great deals to be found right now, but one that's particularly caught our eye is the Radley London Henrietta Place Large Open Top Tote Bag.
The oversized tote bag is usually priced at £259, but now thanks to the Prime Day sale you can get your hands on it for just £79 – saving you a huge £180. The bag is made from real leather and touted as being big enough to fit your laptop in, making it the perfect pick for a work bag.
Like all Radley bags, it's made from high quality materials including a combination of grained and Saffiano-textured bonded leather. It also features signature Radley details, such as a foil logo, detachable leather Scottie dog tag and metal feet to stop it from getting dirty if placed on the floor.
The Radley London Henrietta Place Tote Bag is large enough to fit a 13 inch laptop inside, with plenty of organised interior pockets including a hanging slip pocket for coins or small items. The padded central section fastens with a zip pocket to keep it secure, and has a dog clip fastening to ensure everything stays safely inside your bag.
There's nothing worse than lugging around a heavy bag and having the straps cut into your shoulders, which can often happen when you're carrying things like a laptop around. That's why the Radley London Henrietta Place Large Open Top Tote Bag has also been designed with padded leather straps to keep it comfortable on your shoulder.
We've also spotted some other great deals elsewhere at the moment, such as this Aspinal of London Regent Tote, which has been slashed from £425 to £170 – plus you'll get an extra 20% discount automatically added at checkout, saving you even more money. Kate Spade has also reduced the price of its Do It All Large Tote from £295 to £149, saving you 49% on three of its five colourways.
You can also pick from a choice of three colours in the Radley London Henrietta Place Tote Bag, with the navy and black versions both slashed to £79, whilst the burgundy shade is slightly more expensive at £117. The bag also has also received plenty of praise from shoppers, with one saying: 'Excellent quality and exactly what I was expecting in size and shape. Colour I was expecting a bit darker but still love it!'
Another agreed: 'It's beautiful. Very good quality. All of Radley's bags came out really good on me. I recommend them.'
One was less impressed, writing: 'Nice bag but it is not 'large' I feel it is more 'medium' in size. So I have had to return it. It also arrived without the famous Radley trade mark which is a little 'Scottie dog key ring'. Which was disappointing.'
However others were delighted, praising: 'I have waited so long to find the right bag at the right price and finally found it! This was a super deal for such a quality piece. The leather is soft, and it even came with a little coin purse in it. The manufacturers took great care in packaging to ensure it reaches the buyer in excellent shape. Very happy with the purchase!'

Amazon reduces kitchen gadget loved by Stacey Solomon from £30 to £17 – it will slash your meal prep times
AMAZON shoppers are rushing to snap up a time-saving kitchen gadget that's been slashed by 43%. The retail giant has reduced this 6-in-1 vegetable chopper - which has over 24,000 five-star reviews - from £29.99 to just £16.99. Fullstar 6-in-1 Vegetable Chopper, £29.99 £16.99 BUY FROM AMAZON The Fullstar vegetable chopper has been purchased over 5,000 times in July and is an 'Amazon's Choice' product, which are well-priced, highly-rated items with fast shipping. The last great kitchen deal we spotted on Amazon was on a Ninja knife block during the Prime Day sale. This deal, by contrast, is available to everyone, not just Prime subscribers. Stacey Solomon took to Instagram earlier in the month to praise the nifty chopper, saying: 'Loads of you have asked for a link to my veg chopper, I really rate it. I have to whack it sometimes, but it's the easiest way to make a super chopped salad IMO.' Perfect for summer salad season, this handy little chopper contains six stainless steel blades, a finger guard, and a cleaning brush. These six blades include a fine dicer, a medium dicer, a grater, a shredder, a julienne (ribbon) blade, and a slicer. That means you can grate cheese, dice an onion, julienne a courgette, and plenty more - this is a great chance to spice up and speed up your mealtimes. Whether you're trying to jazz up a plate of veggies for your kids or you're struggling with old, dulled kitchen knives, this Amazon deal looks like a smart purchase. The blades are not only extra-sharp (hence the safety features and finger guard) but they're strong and durable too, made of 420J stainless steel. The extra-hard ABS plastic container can take use after use, not cracking under all the vegetables being chopped, no matter how thick or coarse. The chopper would also suit those who are getting less able to cook and be nimble in the kitchen, as the device requires 'only a little pressure to chop' and creates less mess and washing up in the meantime. Amazon shoppers have already taken to the review section to rave about this smart chopper, praising its functionality, ease of use, and value for money. Many customers have commented on how efficient it made cooking and meal prep. 'If you want to save time in the kitchen, you need this! It's a great buy,' writers one buyer. Another says: 'This contraption is AMAZING! It saves so much time in the kitchen.' Others have loved the impact it's had on kids and fussy eaters, with one parent commenting: '[It] converted my children to salad eaters. They don't normally eat salad, but they enjoyed this device so much they ate large plates of [it] for dinner after!' This isn't the only Amazon deal the Sun Shopping team has written about recently. Anyone look for iPhone charging should look at an 'ultra-slim' Magsafe power bank slashed from £160 to £20. Those looking for protection against the sun and rain in this summer shouldn't miss a garden gazebo that's been cut by 21%.

Amazon's Prime Day dethroned by Walmart's rival deal event
By Amazon's Prime Day has been knocked off its perch by Walmart 's rival deal event — and it was all down to a change that backfired. Once the biggest online shopping bonanza of the year, Prime Day's dominance is faltering. Both retail giants launched their summer sales on July 8 — Amazon for four days and Walmart for almost a week. That meant this year's Prime Day was double the length it had been since 2018. When the event began in 2015, it lasted just one day. Amazon bosses hoped the extra time would boost spending, but it instead encouraged shoppers to compare deals — and many opted for Walmart. Walmart outperformed Amazon across several key metrics. Spending on soared 24 percent compared to 2024, Bloomberg data shows — six times faster than Prime Day's year‑over‑year growth. Web traffic told a similar story, with Walmart surging 14 percent while Amazon stayed flat, according to Similarweb. 'Shoppers are more willing to do the work and navigate across multiple websites,' Deborah Weinswig, CEO of Coresight Research told Bloomberg. 'We saw people spending a lot more time browsing and comparing prices.' A spokesperson for Amazon said the data did not reflect the 'highly positive customer response to this year's Prime Day,' arguing that the event still saw meaningful growth. Amazon remains the undisputed king of ecommerce, capturing around 40 cents of every dollar spent online, according to Emarketer. The event was such a success that its competitors began to follow suit with their own summer deals. Now retail traffic after the July 4 public holiday has started to outdo the traditional Black Friday sales period in November. Walmart launched its Walmart + subscription in 2020 , offering unlimited free deliveries for $98 per year.

Amazon dethroned by bitter rival in deals war as Prime Day is a bust

Amazon remains the undisputed king of ecommerce, capturing around 40 cents of every dollar spent online, according to Emarketer. However, Walmart — the US's largest private employer — is ploughing investment into its online units. The Arkansas-based retailer has pumped resources into improving delivery speeds and has built up its online inventory to more than 500 million items. As a result, Walmart's online sales are climbing 20 percent a year, adding intense pressure on Amazon. The event was such a success that its competitors began to follow suit with their own summer deals. Now retail traffic after the July 4 public holiday has started to outdo the traditional Black Friday sales period in November. Walmart launched its Walmart + subscription in 2020, offering unlimited free deliveries for $98 per year. The membership also offers deals on gas and free grocery deliveries over $35. Amazon's own Prime subscription is expected to soon rise by $20 to $159 a year, experts have warned.
