Bajrangi Bhaijaan's Harshali Malhotra to make South film debut with Akhanda 2

Actor Harshali Malhotra of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' fame, who won hearts across the nation as the silent and lovable Munni, is all set to return to the silver screen. She will be seen in a new role in the much-awaited Telugu sequel 'Akhanda 2'. The film, starring veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Sreenu, will mark Harshali's debut in South Indian cinema.advertisementHarshali shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, announcing her comeback and introducing her character, Janani, to the world. After all these years, I've held on to your love - patiently, silently, and with a heart full of gratitude. While you were remembering Munni, I was preparing - learning, growing, and becoming. She introduced her new role with deep emotion, saying, "Meet JANANI - a new story, a new emotion, a new chapter of me. 'Akhanda 2' is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster 'Akhanda', known for its high-octane action, spiritual elements, and Balakrishna's commanding performance. With Boyapati Sreenu once again helming the project and the return of Balakrishna's character, the film is expected to offer the same mass appeal, with added emotional depth.The film is set for a pan-India release on September 25, 2025, coinciding with the Dussehra festival.
