‘Sohail Khan's producer refused to pay what I was owed', recalls Bobby Darling: ‘You expect me to pay you and give a role too?'

Bobby Darling, who appeared in many Hindi films in the early 2000s, and was also seen in reality shows like Bigg Boss, recently shared that she was mistreated by many Hindi film producers when she started working in the movies. The actor was seen in films like Page 3, Chalte Chalte, among many others. In a recent interview, she opened up about her experience of working in Sohail Khan-starrer Maine Dil Tujhko Dia, which was produced by the actor and his friend, Bunty Walia. Bobby shared that while she had a great experience of working with Sohail, she was disappointed when Bunty dismissed her after she asked for her rightful payment. In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Bobby recalled that her role in the film was increased after she was signed to be a part of the film. She asked for a higher salary after the role was increased and was told by Bunty Walia, 'Tumhe role bhi de aur paise bhi? Kahan se aa jate hain? (You expect me to pay you and give a role too? Where do these people come from?)' Bobby recalled that she shared a friendly relationship with Sohail. Salman Khan, who is Sohail's older brother, would also visit the set and Bobby shared a great equation with him as well as the star invited her for a few parties at his house. 'Salman would come on the set. He would meet me so nicely. He would get pictures clicked. He was so humble, so nice. Sohail was nice, so down to earth,' she recalled. Bobby Darling shared that at the time, she contemplated to speak with Salman and Sohail Khan but was fearful that if she complained about Bunty Walia, he would kick her out of the film. Talking about the 'rude' conversation with Bunty, Bobby said, 'I felt so bad, I started crying. I thought I will speak to Sohail because he had been so nice to me throughout the shoot. But I thought that if I go to Sohail, Bunty Walia will throw me out of the film. Where will I go? I didn't raise it with anyone. I just kept quiet and kept whatever he paid me.'
