Subway workers to strike during TRNSMT music festival
It comes after three days of strike action last week which saw the subway closed.
The union said that an interim offer made by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) recently was overwhelmingly rejected by the members.
The dispute centres on pay, shift allowances and the SPT employees' working conditions.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: 'Unite's members will no longer accept intolerable working conditions.
'SPT has had years to resolve the problem and has failed to do so. Our members have said enough is enough.
'We will support them all the way in their fight for better jobs, pay and conditions.'
Unite claims that train drivers and station staff are routinely working up to 10 hours beyond contracted hours (39 hours) a week to keep the system operating without any improvements to the shift, overtime, and weekend allowances.
It said that Unite members are also repeatedly called in to work shifts at short notice, leading to significant work-life balance pressures.

Up to 50,000 fans a day are expected to attend the event, where headliners include 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol.
Andrew Brown, Unite industrial officer, said: 'SPT can fix this dispute at any point but they are refusing to do so.
'It needs to make an improved offer which our members can then seriously consider.
'Strike action is now set to take place later this month which will again bring the subway to a complete stop.
'This isn't inevitable if SPT come back to the table with an improved offer but if they don't then the blame will be entirely with them for their failure to fix this dispute.'
SPT has been asked for comment.

Geordie superstar Sam Fender has announced a 14-day break from performing due to a new health scare. This includes his performances at Roch Werchter, Down the Rabbit Hole, NOS Live and Montreux Jazz Festivals. The music artist explained that if was to sing he could risk 'lasting damage' to his vocal cords. 'This is incredibly frustrating as I have been so careful with my vocal health and this year so far has been the best of my career.' Obviously devastated, Sam added: 'I'm so sorry to everyone who is coming to those festivals with our show in mind,' 'Our fans are the most important thing to us, I hate letting people down and I hate not being able to sing for weeks as it is my only real passion in life,' he added. The People Watching star has also suffered physical health problems: respiratory infections, laryngitis, and tonsillitis – which resulted in him having to cancel shows over the years. Fans were gutted Sam did not appear at Glastonbury this year after rampant rumours suggesting he would play a secret set. The fan-favourite singer released his third studio album, People Watching, in February of this year. Sam has since begun his People Watching tour, selling out huge venues like the London Stadium and his very own stomping ground, St James Park. His tour has got lots of media attention, especially on TikTok, making his fan base grow rapidly. Olivia Dean was his chosen support act and he actually brought her out on stage to sing 'Rein Me In' back in June at London Stadium. 'The best night of my life': Oasis fans give verdict on reunion
After 16 years of estrangement, the Gallagher brothers have put on a 'biblical' Oasis reunion show, fans declare. It's taken blood, sweat, and tears; a ticket-buying blood bath; and a several-month agonising wait, but Noel, 58, and Liam, 52 finally took to the stage together at Cardiff's Principality Stadium for the first show in their highly-anticipated reunion tour. It was an emotional night for Britpop fans yesterday in Cardiff as Oasis kicked off their first tour in 16 years. Yet it wasn't just the bucket hat-wearing crowds who got wrapped up in the poignancy of the moment. Keen-eyed concertgoers couldn't help but notice that Noel Gallagher appeared to be crying at the start and the end of the show. Those keen to defend Noel, 58, from accusations that he only agreed to reunite with his brother Liam for money are now using this as proof that the Oasis reunion isn't a 'cash grab'. 'Seeing this photo of Noel crying before and then calling Liam over for a hug afterwards, it's clear to see this was not just a simple cash grab,' wrote @dylanwhxtbread on X. 'I hope everyone who said that Noel did this for a cash grab realised how much they were talking outta their *rse,' agreed @natonfilm. 'Noel put his whole heart & soul into this performance, ' they continued. 'He literally called Liam over for a hug and was in tears. This means just as much to him as it does for Liam.' It would have been relatively easy for the brothers to coast through this gig, but neither did. They put their heart and soul into it for the fans and for themselves. Fans were quick to point to Noel's recent divorce from Sara MacDonald – which reportedly cost the star £20million – as the reason for his sudden decision to get the band back together. The tour is expected to net Noel and Liam £50 million each, and there have been unverified reports that this helped motivate the older Gallagher to bury the hatchet with 'our kid'. It doesn't help matters that in 2015, Noel told Q magazine [via Rolling Stone] that he'd only do it 'for the money'. More Trending 'Would I do it for charity? No way,' he said. 'We're not that kind of people. For Glastonbury? I don't think Michael Eavis has got enough money. 'But would we get back together one day?
