
Launching Zakat Awareness Campaign in Raymah Governorate
The branch of the General Authority of Zakat in Raymah Governorate launched today the Zakat awareness campaign in the governorate center and directorates.
The field committees began their work in the governorate center by educating merchants and shop owners about the importance of performing zakat, and distributing awareness posters and brochures within the campaign.
At the inauguration, the Undersecretary of the Governorate, Hafez Al-Wahidi, stressed the importance of the campaign in raising awareness of the necessity of paying zakat in a way that contributes to paying it to those who deserve it.
He urged everyone to cooperate with the branch of the General Authority of Zakat in collecting Zakat duties. He stressed the local authority's support for the efforts of the authority's branch in collecting and developing revenues.
Ali Al-Nahari, Director of the Zakat Authority branch in the governorate, explained that the campaign includes awareness programs through mosque preachers and guides, distributing posters, in addition to raising awareness through the media about all aspects related to Zakat.

Palestine Telecom: Occupier destroyed 74% of Gaza telecom assets
Ramallah - Saba: Huda Al-Wahidi, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Economy in Palestine, said that the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip caused widespread damage to the telecommunications sector, destroying approximately 74% of its assets. According to the Sanad News Agency on Monday, Al-Wahidi stated in a speech during the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Board of Directors meeting in Geneva that direct losses to the telecommunications sector in Gaza are estimated at $164 million, as a result of the destruction of 580 cellular towers and major fiber networks. According to a statement by the Ministry of Telecommunications, the expected economic losses over the next five years are estimated at $736 million. Al-Wahidi warned of the continued deterioration of the digital infrastructure in Gaza, stressing that the Strip is experiencing an "unprecedented crisis" that has caused widespread disruption to telecommunications services. She criticized the absence of any practical steps to implement UN Resolution 1424 (2014), which relates to the reconstruction of the Palestinian telecommunications sector. Sana'a - Saba: Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan, Chairman of the General Zakat Authority, along with Deputy Chairman Ali Al-Saqaf, inspected the level of work discipline at the Authority's headquarters and its offices in the capital secretariat , Sana'a and Marib provinces on the first official workday after Eid al-Adha. Accompanied by the Director of Human Resources, Ali Al-Babili, they reviewed workflow and employee discipline at the Zakat Authority's office in the capital. They were briefed by the office director, Muhammad Al-Alfi, on the level of discipline at the main office and its branches in the districts following the holiday. Abu Nashtan and Al-Saqaf praised the high level of discipline among the leadership and employees on the first official workday, commending their efforts during the past period.
