The exercise, he says, was one of unlearning. 'To pretend to not know acting—when it's what I've done my entire life—is to go against my own instincts. And to do that without looking fake, to make the audience believe I was someone unequipped with technique, required a very different approach. I had to believe it myself first.' For Siddiqui, belief is the cornerstone of craft. 'You have to believe that this world you're in is real. In this case, I had to believe I was someone who had never acted before. That belief had to come before anything else.'
Despite his success, Siddiqui remains deeply connected to the uncertainties that marked his early years. An alumnus of the National School of Drama, he began with minor, often overlooked roles in films like Sarfarosh and Munna Bhai MBBS. Recognition came gradually—first through Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday and then more substantially with Peepli Live and Gangs of Wasseypur, the latter making him a definitive voice in the new wave of Hindi cinema.
Over the past decade, he has earned both acclaim and audience admiration for roles in Manto, Photograph, and the acclaimed Netflix series Sacred Games. Yet, for all his achievements, Siddiqui does not romanticise the industry. If anything, he is one of its most vocal critics. He speaks of a troubling creative stagnation, calling it a kind of 'creatocracy', a system where commerce replaces originality and comfort overrides experimentation. His concerns are not unfounded. 'We've normalised lifting—from songs to scripts, from international cinema to the Southern film industries. Even some so-called cult films are nothing more than polished remakes. Where is the originality in that?' He also points to the increasing reliance on marketing gimmicks and manipulated success metrics.
'You can inflate numbers, buy good reviews, and even book your own shows to make a film seem like a hit. But you can't sustain it. The audience is too intelligent now. They know the difference between what's being sold and what's being felt,' he adds.

Arnold Schwarzenegger shares golden bodybuilding advice for a chiselled chest with NBA icon Shaquille 'O'Neal on The Big Podcast With Shaq

Shaquille O'Neal, Image via Getty NBA icon Shaquille O'Neal is a self-proclaimed fan of popular Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger . From praising his bodybuilding techniques to the Terminator star's dedication towards his fitness, the Boston Celtics alum has been one of the biggest fans of Schwarzenegger. During a recent episode of the popular podcast The Big Podcast With Shaq, the NBA star went on to receive some golden advice from Mr. Olympia with respect to bodybuilding. Shaquille O'Neal gets some great tips from Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger on bodybuilding During the recent episode of The Big Podcast With Shaq, the former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal had a conversation with Arnold Schwarzenegger about fitness and bodybuilding. In between the discussion, O'Neal straightaway went on to ask for tips behind maintaining a chiselled chest like Arnold Schwarzenegger from the early 90s. To which the True Lies star replied, 'In order to really get a great chest, there are four exercises that are very important. One of them is the bench press, then the incline press with a barbell, and then flies with dumbbells or with a flying machine. Now they have machines for all of that stuff, so it's with dumbbells or with a flying machine, and then the other one is the pullover. You know, that gives you the rib cage. You know where you go back, and you know, and really stretch your back and stretch your lats, and so that's the combination of those four exercises. Then when you compete in bodybuilding, it gets into more details with cable crosses and doing dips and all of those kinds of things.' Shaq Asks Arnold For Bodybuilding Advice, If He Liked Acting Over Politics & His Netflix Show FUBAR The Fubar star further elaborated, 'I think a basic routine—if you do, like, you know, those four exercises and do three sets each—I think you're going to get a really good, defined kind of pectoral muscle and chest. Then you can rip your shirt off anytime and then go, you know, make the chest go up and down, you know, and that's right exactly, and you know, and have fun with it and have all the people kind of look at it.' While citing his example, Schwarzenegger said, 'It really depends, you know, on how your joints are. Like, for instance, at my age, you know, I'm almost 78 now. I feel that it is better for me to train lighter and just to do more reps because every time I try to train heavier, then all of a sudden my shoulder hurts, or my elbow hurts, or something hurts.' Shaquille O'Neal has expressed admiration for Arnold Schwarzenegger's legendary physique and the way he built a diverse career beyond bodybuilding. He's noted his respect for Schwarzenegger's seamless move into acting, business, and politics, viewing it as an inspiring example for his own goals. Actor Jonathan Bailey opened up about his relationship status and if 'Bridgerton' has helped him in his dating life, reported E! News. "I'm available," said Jonathan, adding, "It's just, I think there's a genetic predisposition." The actor who publicly came out as gay in 2018 went on to note that he doesn't think his work on Bridgerton has helped him with romance at all, reported E! News. "It's a fantasy, isn't it?" he explained about the Netflix series. "Romance is grounded and real," reported E! News. He has not unveiled any specific details on his dating life. "I want to make sure I'm going to be present," said in an interview in December, "I'm reading books on adoption. I might co-parent with a woman, but I'm thinking it will be with a man." Jonathan was, however, open about his experience as part of the LGBTQ+ community, including the difficulty he had when trying to come out to a group of friends in grade school, reported E! News. "It was a conversation I really, really wanted to have, to see if everyone else was on the same page," he continued. "But everyone went quiet." "I'd much prefer to hold my boyfriend's hand in public or be able to put my own face picture on Tinder and not be so concerned about that than getting a part," he said, reported E! News.
