Rescuers save 4 more survivors from Houthi-struck ship in Red Sea, 10 still missing
It was the second Greek bulk carrier sunk this week by the Iran-aligned Houthi militia, shattering months of relative calm off Yemen's coast, the gateway to the Red Sea and a critical route for oil and commodities to the world.
Many shipping companies have suspended voyages due to the fear of attack. The Houthis are believed to be holding six of the Eternity C's complement of 22 crew and three guards, maritime security sources said.
Eternity C was first hit on Monday with sea drones and rocket-propelled grenades fired from speedboats.
On Thursday, the Greek operator of the vessel, Cosmoship Management, confirmed that so far 10 people have been rescued – eight Filipino crew members, one Indian and one Greek security guard. Ten remain unaccounted for, including one guard, it said.
One person is believed dead and another four have not been seen since the attack on the ship, the company added.

'In response to the recent xenophobic sentiments in Japanese society, the embassy has lodged a solemn representation with Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, demanding concrete measures to be taken by the Japanese side in terms of protecting the safety and legitimate rights of Chinese citizens in Japan,' it said. Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said the ministry had promptly conveyed concerns to the Japanese authorities and was working to understand the situation.

Chinese police mount Xinjiang manhunt for fugitive wanted over wounding of 2 people
Police in China's far western region of Xinjiang are appealing for the public's help to find a fugitive wanted over the wounding of two people near the border with Kazakhstan. The authorities did not offer a motive for the attacks but the incident is one of the few publicly reported cases in recent years of intentional harm in Xinjiang – a region that is strictly controlled and politically sensitive. Police are searching for a 29-year-old herder identified as Kasitiele wanted in relation to the attack last Thursday in Huojierte Mongol ethnic township in Emin county. The man is a resident of the county's Woyijiayilao Pasture on the outskirts of Tacheng prefecture, an area in northern Xinjiang close to the border with Kazakhstan. The pasture is home to 14 ethnic groups, including Han, Kazakh, Hui and Kyrgyz, with ethnic minorities accounting for over 90 per cent of the population. Police in neighbouring Yumin county said on Wednesday that both victims of the attack were in a stable condition and did not have life-threatening injuries. They urged the public to report any relevant information and 'to not believe, create or spread rumours'.
