(RNAIPL) venture with French automaker Renault was announced by Nissan in March and slated for completion in the first half of this fiscal year. Both common and preferred stock were sold.

This rate is brought down to 15% in a deal recently announced after more than three months of negotiations, with revised "reciprocal" duties taking effect next Thursday. But the burden on Japanese automakers remains heavy.

The new offerings from Kawasaki Motors, a subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, are part of its Teryx lineup. The new models feature an upgraded version of the company's Ninja H2 motorcycle engine to offer more powerful acceleration and greater speed compared with previous models. They will be available at dealerships starting in August.
