The New ‘Game of Thrones' Game Will Let You Kill Jon Snow, for Real This Time
Watch the trailer from PlaySide Studios, who developed and published Game of Thrones: War for Westeros in collaboration with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The premium real-time strategy PC game will feature the likenesses of the HBO show's stars in re-enactment style game play. That means you can control even the most key plot moments—like deciding the fate of Jon Snow, who still knows nothing.
Announced during Summer Game Fest, the title will release in 2026.
In Game of Thrones: War for Westeros you'll take control of the Great Houses of Westeros in their dramatic infighting battles or command the Night King's forces. The prospect of getting to change the ending is very alluring; along the way, though, you can become your favorite characters in cinematic compelling solo adventures—or join thrilling free-for-all multiplayer battles in campaigns that can be completed long before George R.R. Martin ever finishes The Winds of Winter.

'How can you be everything for everyone?' he asked. His played Mitchell Pritchett on the popular ABC sitcom, a gay lawyer married to Eric Stonestreet's Cameron Tucker. While he was portraying this one specific character, Ferguson said that Pritchett was, at the same time, 'a shade of who I was, so… if it's stereotypical, I'm basically playing myself, so I guess, guilty, guilty as charged.' Ferguson was nominated for five Emmys for his performance in the series, which aired from 2000 to 2009. Off screen, Ferguson is married to real-life lawyer Justin Mikita. The couple share two sons, Beckett and Sullivan, who were born in 2020 and 2022 respectively.
