Set up at CPB Films, behind Rebecca Zlotowski's 2019 Toronto player 'Savages' and the upcoming series expansion of 'A Prophet,' both produced by Cherqui as CPB head of TV drama and cinema, 'Vendetta' is co-produced by public broadcaster France TV, where it will air on France 2.

News of its international distribution launch comes just after 'Vendetta' went into production in the first week of March, shooting in Corsica.
Billed as a mafia thriller and family tragedy, the six-part series turns on Anto, a Parisian cop of Corsican origin, who returns to his homeland with wife Vanina, to take over the family vineyard.
Ambushed, his father is murdered and Anto, wounded, falls into deep coma.
As a child, Anto had sworn to his brother – killed soon after in a vendetta – to break the cycle of vengeance plaguing his family for generations. Awaking 10 years later, he discovers that his now teen son Santu is obsessed with revenge. 'How far will Anto go to protect his son and reclaim his life?' the synopsis asks.
'Vendetta' toplines Thierry Neuvic ('Code Unknown,' 'Hereafter') Vahina Giocante ('Bellamy'), Tchéky Karyo ('The Missing'), Stanley Weber ('Borgia'), Laetitia Eïdo ('Fauda') and Philippe Corti ('Mafiosa').
Cherqui's credits also take in, before joining CPB Films in 2017, comedy series 'Kabul Kitchen,' a Monte Carlo TV Festival top prize winner, and, at CPB, popular crime comedy movie series 'Everyone Lies.'
'Vendetta' is co-written and directed by Ange Baserga ('Dealer'), and also penned by Emmanuelle Michaux ('Master Crimes') and Pierre-Marie Mosconi ('Surf Therapy).
The crime drama joins an International distribtion slate at France TV Distribution, the commercial arm of France Télévisions, which also includes renewed comedy series 'Apsergirl' and thriller 'Danger in the Valley,' co-written by bestselling Michel Bussi ('Prison Island').

EXCLUSIVE: After winning Series Mania's Best Actress Award for her turn opposite Cooper Raiff in MUBI's Hal & Harper, Lili Reinhart has come aboard to star in and exec produce The Love Hypothesis, an adaptation of the New York Times bestseller by Ali Hazelwood, for Amazon MGM Studios and MRC. In the romantic comedy, Olive Smith, a biology PhD candidate, and Dr. Adam Carlsen, a hotshot professor and well-known tyrant, enter into a fake relationship, seeing each of their carefully calculated theories on love get thrown into chaos. Originally acquired for publication by editor Sarah Blumenstock at Berkley, the book was also named the Best Romance of the Year by Amazon. Hazelwood is also known for titles like Problematic Summer Romance, Deep End, and Bride, among others. Claire Scanlon (Set It Up) is directing The Love Hypothesis from a script by Sarah Rothschild (The Sleepover). Elizabeth Cantillon (The Girl in the Spider's Web, Charlie's Angels) is producing, with Reinhart, Catherine Hagedorn, and Hazelwood executive producing. In a statement accompanying the project announcement, author Hazelwood said, 'Honestly, I still can't believe this is happening? Elizabeth Cantillon, Claire Scanlon, and Lili Reinhart have all created, produced, or starred in works that I'm absolutely feral about, and I am beyond honored that they're choosing to bring their talent to this project. Books and films are very different media, and I have complete trust in this brilliant team. I cannot wait to see the final product they'll come up with. Soon to be seen starring opposite Raiff and Mark Ruffalo in the former's indie TV series Hal & Harper, a project she produced which was acquired by MUBI following its premiere at Sundance, Reinhart's upcoming slate also includes Uta Briesewitz's American Sweatshop, which premiered at SXSW this year. She recently wrapped on Brian Swibel's directorial debut, The Very Best People, as well as Meredith Alloway's first feature, Forbidden Fruits, which IFC Films will release in 2026. She's also attached to produce and star in Ali & Anthony Garland's Fake Wedding, which is in development at Amazon MGM under her production company, Small Victory, and is represented by Anonymous Content, UTA, and Peikoff Mahan. Reuniting with Amazon MGM here after directing The People We Hate at the Wedding, starring Allison Janney, Kristen Bell, and Ben Platt, Scanlon is also known for helming the Netflix rom-com Set It Up, starring Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell. ‘General Hospital' star Kin Shriner reveals ‘botched' foot surgery left him unable to walk
Kin Shriner is detailing a scary health incident. The 'General Hospital' star, 71, took to social media on June 30 to share an update on his life, almost a year after leaving the long-running soap opera in August 2024. '[A] year ago tomorrow, I had some arrogant surgeon give me a subtalar fusion,' Shriner began in the video posted to X. The procedure involves permanently fusing the bones in the subtalar joint, as per the Cleveland Clinic. 'So for six months, I basically couldn't walk,' continued Shriner. 'So then John Stamos, my good pal, sent me over to his guy at Cedars Sinai. He redid it.' Stamos played Blackie Parrish on the soap from 1982 to 1984. Shriner played the iconic Scott Baldwin in over 1,700 episodes of 'General Hospital' from 1977 to 2024. He reprised his role on the short-lived spin-off, 'Port Charles,' from 1997 to 2002. LaRue noted, 'And it ended up being a much longer run, which was great — and really fun because there are so many 'All My Children' actors there and so it felt like home.' Kelly Monaco, who starred as Sam McCall from 2003 to 2024, blasted the soap in August when they fired her after 21 years, claiming it was 'retaliation.' Vivienne Westwood Spring 2026 Menswear Collection
Pirate, Buffalo Girls, Savages, Punkature: right from the start Vivienne Westwood's collections plundered freely from the past and mixed womenswear with men's to create a fashion freezone in which the rules of convention were gleefully disregarded. That punk impulse to disrupt still remains at the core of the house's heritage following her passing nearly three years ago. This morning Westwood's widower and house co-pilot for over three decades, Andreas Kronthaler, reestablished the brand's presence on the Milan menswear schedule for the first time since June 2016. More dynamic mise-en-scene than show, it saw an overwhelmingly male cast take their passeggiata through a San Babila cafe and then out into a street side marble-floored arcade. While the collection we were here to see was menswear, including beautifully loose and louche tailoring, there was an interjection of pieces plundered from across the house's current womenswear collections. 'I can't avoid it,' said Kronthaler. 'I don't think there should be strict separations of anything; I don't think it ever works. And there is always in a man a little bit of woman: sometimes quite a lot.' Quite-a-lot looks included the faux-fur leopard coat and python print court shoes and handbag: racy Milan nonna meets Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. A statuesquely-draped floral photo print dress was teamed with roman sandals and a cursive metal necklace that spelt out a curse word. There was a strong rose-embroidered tabard with a mid-calf red satin boot. A rugby shirt was extended to ankle length: a stretch knit patterned bodysuit with a navel-gazing aperture was equal-opportunities provocative. The tailoring took a satirical approach to peacock dressing, hoiking pants as high as they would rise, peaking lapels to the apex of shoulder lines. Shirting and dress pants in crisp cottons were cut to undulate and enhanced with fulsome pocketing. A red T-shirt printed with a portrait of Garibaldi—whose Redshirts drove the uprising that unified Italy—cutely unified a masculine shawl collar tailored menswear jacket and some feminine skirt-fronted shorts in oversized gold pinstripe. Humorous and anti-consumerist, this return to Milan prefigured a more conventional runway approach next January. When it was put to Kronthaler that the house is now a heritage brand whose source code is subversion, he said: 'There are so many things here, really, like no other brand. Because of [Westwood's] long work and going through so many facets and changes, there are four or five different periods that belong to this house somehow. But at the same time we are not nostalgic.' As he spoke, the bells of San Babila church across the road sounded notice of midday. Whatever Kronthaler's suspicion of nostalgia, it was a thrill to see the same platforms that so famously upended Naomi Campbell on the runway make fall-free cameos in two looks towards the end of this show. Vivienne Westwood was close to inarguably the most influential designer of her time: her name should continue to resound as loudly as San Babila's bells.
