Kate Beckinsale breaks silence over concerns from fans over her weight loss
Kate Beckinsale addressed her dramatic weight loss after a fan weighed in on her appearance via social media.
On Tuesday, the Underworld actress shared a since-deleted post that included several images of herself in bikinis.
'Oh sweetheart, I honestly think you have a problem!!!' one follower wrote in the comments. 'You don't look good. I think you honestly need help.'
The star responded, 'Yes I do. I'm going through one of the most deeply painful times of my life. The body keeps the score.'
Though Beckinsale, 51, did not elaborate further, she referenced Bessel van der Kolk's best-selling book on trauma, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma.

n a video clip, the actress appeared extremely slim while walking her dog in a pair of daisy dukes, black platform boots and a black bikini top.
The actress further hinted at turmoil in the caption of her post, which also included photos of her pets and lookalike daughter Lily Mo Sheen, 26.
'Girls trip with my girls,' Beckinsale wrote. 'This is not an accurate depiction of how life is right now but a brief and precious reprieve from other things for which I am extremely grateful x.'
While some fans expressed concern, one fan emphasised, 'How about we stop talking about her weight because you don't know what's going on in her life. You're beautiful and you remind me of Audrey Hepburn.'

Another remarked, 'always love and respect you, Kate. I hope everything gets better soon.'
Beckinsale previously clapped back at trolls who insisted she had lost 'too much weight.'
In a since-deleted Instagram post from January, one person wrote, 'It's not a criticism, but I think you've lost too much weight lately.'
The actress fired back, 'If it's not a criticism, it's a passive aggressive completely unnecessary opinion from someone I don't know who knows nothing about my circumstances. So next time you feel like commenting on someone's body, I suggest you keep it to your f–king self.'
Beckinsale was hospitalised with a mystery illness in March 2024, which she later revealed to be due to a hole in her oesophagus.
She got candid about her hospital stay via social media in July 2024 while clapping back at a troll commenting on her weight.
At the time, Beckinsale claimed she lost weight due to the death of her stepfather, Roy Battersby, and her mom's stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
'I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief, quite quickly,' she told a commenter.

Nick Kyrgios: Tennis ace partners with adult film stars Rachel Starr and Sophie Stonehouse on OnlyFans TV
While the tennis world takes centre stage at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios is on a very different court — and not just metaphorically. The former world number 13 has swapped rackets for reality TV, fronting a new OnlyFans series alongside adult entertainers Rachel Starr and Sophie Stonehouse. Before the curious raise their eyebrows: no, this isn't spicy content. The show, Smash City, launched last month on OnlyFans TV and features a pickleball competition with eight creators vying for a $20,000 prize. Promoted as a 'pickleball competition where one person is left standing at the end', the series already has fans wondering if Kyrgios is officially in his post-tennis entertainment era. Loading Instagram Post The career detour comes just months after Kyrgios' split from longtime girlfriend Costeen Hatzi, who confirmed in May the pair were no longer speaking. Their relationship unfolded largely in the public eye — including joint media interviews and viral TikToks — with Kyrgios even teasing marriage plans. Hatzi, too, hinted at family aspirations, telling followers the couple had 'definitely had conversations.' 'We love each other. (But) there's no rush. It'll happen when it happens,' she said. 'Nick tells me every day that he wants a baby.' But earlier this year, the cracks began to show. In March, Hatzi posted a photo series with a pointed caption: 'The photos are good when the photographer isn't secretly jealous.' The pair had often swapped roles behind the lens, with Kyrgios regularly acting as her 'boyfriend of Instagram' on luxury holidays and brand shoots. Hatzi in May revealed the pair are no longer on speaking terms. Now, with his Wimbledon return off the table and his personal life firmly in the rearview, Kyrgios is chasing a different kind of title — this time, on the courts of Smash City.

Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman movie reunion will ‘of course' happen, James Gunn says
James Gunn has said that Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman will 'of course' meet in the DC Universe (DCU). The 58-year-old director is set to kick off the DCU on the big screen with the upcoming blockbuster Superman, and while Gunn insisted the superhero will not cross over with Batman and Wonder Woman in the next film, the moviemaker stressed the iconic trio will eventually team up in a future project in the franchise. When Deadline asked the DC head if there was a chance Superman could cross paths with Batman and Wonder Woman in the future, he said: 'Of course, yeah! But not in the next movie.' After the outlet quizzed the Guardians of the Galaxy director on whether the team-up could happen in the next few years, he said: 'You have to remember all this stuff is talks inside my head. 'So there's a lot of chatter in my head that does a lot of things! But the DCU is chatter in my head, not talks!' This comes after Gunn said he thought Adria Arjona would be a 'great' Wonder Woman, He told Extra: 'I follow Adria on Instagram but everybody came out [and said], 'He just followed her, that means she's Wonder Woman.' She'd be a great Wonder Woman, by the way. 'She was in a movie that I made seven years ago. We've been friends and have known each other since that time. I followed her then, I didn't just follow her.' Gunn also teased Superman may have already crossed paths with Batman in the DCU. Speaking about how the Man of Steel would react to meeting the Dark Knight in the DCU, The Suicide Squad filmmaker said: 'Well, first of all, we don't know if he's already seen a man dressed up as a bat. 'But I think that he'd probably see a kindred spirit in that [here's] another crazy person wearing a crazy costume [albeit] with a very different intent.' DC already has an on-screen Caped Crusader with Robert Pattinson's The Batman, though the movie and its 2027 sequel The Batman: Part II are Elseworlds projects and do not take place in the main DCU timeline. The idea of bringing Pattinson's Dark Knight into the DCU and portraying the character in the upcoming Batman movie The Brave and the Bold had been theorised, but Gunn has since rejected it. During an interview with Variety, he said: 'I wouldn't rule anything out. He could show up in something else. But the actor doesn't exist [for Batman in the DCU yet].' Gunn's Superman - which lands in cinemas on 11 July - follows the titular hero (David Corenswet) as he tries to balance his human and Kryptonian lives, all while Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) does everything in his power to bring about his downfall. The film will also introduce a range of other beloved DC heroes, such as Guy Gardner's Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) and Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi). Despite his new position as the DCU lead, Corenswet previously insisted he doesn't know what Superman's future will be in the franchise after the film. When Esquire Espana asked the 31-year-old actor what he would be doing in the DCU post-Superman, he said: 'I don't think it's up to me to answer that. It's up to James Gunn, who has a terrific imagination, and he is just there where they need [him] to be to say what was written, although that doesn't always happen.'
