RCMP say a B.C. teenager, missing since last month, may be in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
West Shore RCMP say Jaxsen Swain was last seen at about 11:30 p.m. on May 17 in the 300 block of Wale Road in Colwood, B.C., a city west of Victoria.
He was reported missing to police a day later.
Swain, 15, has a light complexion, a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes. He is 180 centimetres (5'11') tall and weighs approximately 68 kilograms (150 pounds).
Police say he could be travelling in B.C., Alberta or Saskatchewan.
RCMP are very concerned about his health and well-being. Police received multiple leads from possible sightings, but Swain remains missing.

One killed in morning blaze in Saskatoon

A morning blaze in a Saskatoon home claimed the life of one person. Around 9:13 a.m. on Saturday, firefighters responded to a report of possible fire in the 600 block of Avenue N South, Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) said in a news release. Multiple units including three fire engines, one rescue unit, one ladder truck and the Battalion Chief were dispatched to the scene where they reported smoke from the roof and visible inside the home. According to SFD, the fire was brought under control around 9:43 a.m.  The fire department says a lone occupant was found inside the home and was pronounced dead after being removed by firefighters. The cause and origin of the fire are currently under investigation by the SFD's fire investigator in collaboration with the Saskatoon Police Service.

3 charged with manslaughter in northern B.C.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 24, in the 9900 block of 99 Avenue. Police were called to the area around 6:45 p.m. that day and arrived to find the unresponsive victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. On Friday night, Fort St. John RCMP announced an update in the case, saying in a news release that 'an intense investigation' had led to the arrest of three suspects, who have each been charged. Online court records identify two of those charged, while the third name is redacted due to a publication ban. The named suspects are Ethan Joseph Charles Dore and Dyllon John Cazes. Dore's year of birth is listed as 2000, while Cazes was born in 1993. Police said two of the suspects had been remanded into police custody and scheduled to appear in court on June 30, with the third was in police custody awaiting a bail hearing. Officers from Fort St. John RCMP and the B.C. RCMP's North District worked on the investigation, with multiple units from each agency involved. 'Our investigators worked tirelessly over the past few days to conduct a thorough investigation and arrest these three individuals,' said Cpl. Paul Waterman, of the Fort St John RCMP Serious Crimes Unit, in the release. 'We believe this to be an isolated incident with no additional threat to the public.'

Brooks RCMP searching for family of found child

Brooks RCMP are trying to reach the family of child who was discovered alone on Highway 1 Friday. Officers discovered the child around 9 p.m. Friday night, one kilometre east of Brooks walking towards town. Police canvassed the area but couldn't find the child's family. As of Friday night at 11:14 p.m., there were no reports of a missing child. The child is described as being around seven years old, with a medium complexion, around four feet tall with black shoulder length hair and brown eyes. They're wearing an orange t-shirt with pajama-style striped shorts and white socks. Anyone with information is asked to contact Brooks RCMP at 403-310-7267.
