
Dar Al Attaa Association: Community contribution for more sustainable family life
Established in 2002 and officially licensed in 2006, Dar Al Attaa Association is the first charitable organisation in the Sultanate of Oman. It has been instrumental in transforming the lives of numerous families across various governorates, empowering them to lead sustainable and stable lives.
Maryam Issa Al Zadjali, Founder and Chairperson of Dar Al Attaa Association, stated that the association strives to assist those in need through a variety of programmes, including: the Family Sponsorship Programme, Crisis Relief Programme, Education Programme, Disaster Relief and Management Programme, "My Safe Home" Programme for housing construction and maintenance, Empowerment Programme, Islamic Values Programme, and the "Let's Read" Programme.
In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), she noted that in 2024, the association allocated OMR4.094 million to these programmes, aimed at providing living support and meeting the essential needs of underprivileged families. She added that in the first half of 2025, approximately OMR2.038 million was disbursed for these initiatives.
Highlighting the importance of innovation in charitable work, Al Zadjali explained that Dar Al Attaa has established a dedicated Social Innovation Department to leverage modern technology in developing its programmes and serving the community. This department is expected to bring a qualitative shift in services, streamline procedures, and enhance the efficiency and quality of the association's work.
As for the upcoming projects, she revealed that the association is preparing to launch the second phase of the "Dar Al Attaa Neighbourhood" in Al-Khaboura, which will include a mosque, a community center, and commercial facilities. The project features 36 model residential units, each spanning 274 square meters, equipped with solar energy systems and water treatment to reflect the concept of sustainable community housing.
To date, Dar Al Attaa has delivered 175 homes to families across Oman and carried out maintenance on more than 2,514 houses.
Maryam Al Zadjali affirmed that the association remains committed to expanding its assistance programmes, strengthening partnerships with government and private sectors, and contributing to sustainable development. These efforts aim to meet the needs of Omani society and enhance the role of voluntary charity work in community service.

Tender floated for Nizwa-Bahla dual carriageway project
Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology clarified that the Nizwa-Bahla Dual Carriageway Project, for which the Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority has announced a tender, involves doubling the existing road from the Daris Roundabout in the Wilayat of Nizwa to the Jabrin area in the Wilayat of Bahla, within Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, with a total length of 40 kilometres. CBO announces auction results of 75th GDB Issue
Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman on Tuesday announced the Auction results of the 75th Government Development Bonds (GDB) issue worth OMR72.70 million. According to a media release issued by CBO's Market Operations Department, the 75th GDB Issue, which received overwhelming response from investors, has received applications amounted to OMR150,779,300. The average yield was 4.28 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.055, while the highest yield was 4.30 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.000 and the lowest was at 4.10 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.560. The three-year Bond will be issued on Thursday (24 July 2025) and it will mature on 24 July 2028, carrying a coupon rate of 4.30% per annum.

Marafiq organizes workshop to enhance utilities in SEZAD
Marafiq Company organised a strategic workshop with several key stakeholders in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD), including the zone's administration and the Duqm Development Company.
