Free Amazon Kids Settings You Should Change Before Giving Your Child a New Tablet
Use the Parent Dashboard to create and manage Amazon Kids profiles. Create profile: Settings > Profiles & Family Library > Add a child profile. Turn on parental controls: Settings > Profile and Parental Controls > Restrict access to current profile > to hand down your Amazon Fire tablet or gift an Amazon Fire Kids tablet to your little one? Make sure to review these free Amazon Kids settings and parental controls first. Before you give your child an Amazon Fire Kids tablet, set up Amazon Kids from the Parent Dashboard by creating a child profile. Visit the Parent Dashboard at Select New+ or Add / Create a Child profile. Enter your child's name > Add Child. To add an additional child profile, select the + (Plus) icon > Add Profile / Add a Child. Once you've created at least one child profile, you can manage the content your child can access, screen time limits, and purchase permissions, among other settings from the Parent Dashboard. Here's a look at some of the settings that could be most helpful: Set up screen time limits: Open your child's profile on the Parent Dashboard and select Set Up Screen Time > toggle on Daily Time Limits. Create a designated schedule according to content type—and including controlling daily allowed screen time totals. Prioritize educational content: From Daily Time Limits select Learn First > Add to designate the learning-first content you'd like to emphasize before everything else. Set age filters: Go to Settings > Adjust Age Filter and Theme to show only age-appropriate content to your child. Control store access: You can allow your child browsing access to the app store from Settings > Additional Content > Store. Though kids can browse with this setting on, they can only make download and purchase requests; you'll be notified of these requests so you can have the final say. Manage communication methods: To determine whether and with whom your child can contact via the Fire Tablet, visit Fire Tablet Settings > Manage Communications. You can also access these other controls directly from your child's Fire Tablet by opening the Grownups menu > Settings at the top-right corner of the device: Web browsing history Camera and gallery access Bluetooth connectivity Volume limits Profile switching permissions Another option is to turn on parental controls to add safeguards to an Amazon Fire tablet you already recommends turning on Parental Controls for children 13 and older. Otherwise, establishing a Child Profile is the route to take for younger down on your Fire Tablet to open Quick Settings > Settings. Tap Profile & Parental Controls. Go to Restrict access to current profile. Toggle this setting to On. Create and enter a Parental Control password. Confirm the password and select Finish. Once you've activated Parent Controls on your Fire tablet, you have the option to designate permissions for various apps, content, and communication settings, including: Wi-Fi connectivity Location services Camera use Web browser access Email Prime Video playback Content types, such as books or music Amazon Store or Amazon Shop purchasingYou might also want to limit lock screen ads and suggestions to reduce the chance that your child will see inappropriate content. Open Settings > Apps and Notifications > Amazon App Settings > and look for the Content Filtering and Home Screens Our 18 Favorite Free Learning Websites for Kids Read the original article on Lifewire

Target Circle Week 2025: Dates, deals, and what to know about the retailer's answer to Amazon Prime Day
While shoppers will no doubt head out this July 4th holiday weekend to take advantage of the myriad sales on offer, the most high-profile sale of the summer doesn't actually start until July 8. That's the day that Amazon kicks off its (now four-day) Amazon Prime Day sale. But one of Amazon's closest competitors, Target, isn't sitting on its laurels. The retailer hopes to both steal some of Amazon's sales thunder and pad its own bottom line via its Target Circle Week shopping event. Here's what you need to know about Target's answer to Amazon Prime Day. What is Target Circle Week? Target Circle Week is the Target Corporation's answer to Amazon Prime Day. Target Circle Week is an annual shopping event held by Target, both online and in its physical retail stores. The sales event sees deals on hundreds of items. Similar to how Amazon Prime Day is only available to Amazon Prime subscribers, Target Circle Week is only available to Target Circle members. Target Circle is the company's loyalty and rewards program. In order to take advantage of Target Circle Week sales, you'll need to be a member—but more on that below. When is Target Circle Week 2025? This year, Target Circle Week is being held from Sunday, July 6, to Saturday, July 12. Yes, unlike 'Amazon Prime Day,' which is actually a four-day event this year, 'Target Circle Week' lives up to its name by being a full seven-day event. However, there is one caveat to Target Circle Week's length. The sales event is actually an eight-day event if you are a Target Circle 360 member. Target Circle 360 is the paid version of the free Target Circle loyalty program, and if you are a member of 360, you can access the Target Circle Week deals a full 24 hours in advance, on Saturday, July 5. What are the deals during Target Circle Week 2025? Target Circle Week will feature deals on hundreds of products, available both in Target's online store and its physical retail stores. One of the advantages of Target Circle Week over Amazon Prime Day is that it includes in-store sales. You can actually head into a Target to view an item in person before you decide to buy it. This is especially helpful for items like clothes, which many prefer to try on first before buying. As for what deals are to be had during Target Circle Week 2025, Target says its top deals will include: 40% off Casaluna & Threshold bedding Up to 40% off tech & gaming 30% off tees, tanks, and dresses for all 30% off school uniforms 30% off select backpacks and school supplies 20% off Brightroom storage and organization Buy two, get one free on books, movies and music Spend $40, save $10 on toys Buy one, get one 50% off select grocery including ice cream, coffee, tea, cereal, frozen meals & more Buy one, get one 30% off suncare, haircare, nailcare and vitamins Who can take advantage of Target Circle Week sales? Anyone can gain access to all the Target Circle Week deals by becoming a Target Circle member. And the good news is that, unlike with Amazon Prime, Target offers a free membership tier to its Target Circle loyalty program. (Amazon often offers free promotional subscriptions to Prime.) You can sign up for a free membership to Target Circle here. If you want, you can also choose to join Target Circle's paid membership program, which is called Target Circle 360. A paid Target Circle 360 membership sees members get additional benefits like same-day delivery from Target, free two-day shipping, and no-rush returns. A Target Circle 360 membership is $10.99 a month or $99 a year. You can sign up for Target Circle 360 here. If you are a Target Circle 360 member, you'll be able to access Target Circle Week deals a day early this year, on July 5. How does Target Circle Week help Target? The main benefit Target sees from Target Circle Week is in helping combat customer flight to Amazon. Target generally tries to hold its Target Circle Week during or near Amazon's Amazon Prime Day sales event. Of course, Target also hopes that the sales event doesn't just help the company retain consumer marketshare but also increases its bottom line—something the company needs to do. In May, Target Corporation reported its first quarter results, in which it saw sales fall 2.8% to $23.85 billion. Numerous factors were behind the sales decline, including increasing consumer uncertainty and boycotts from some groups due to the company's rollback of its DEI initiatives. The company's sales challenges have hurt its stock price this year, too. Since the beginning of the year, Target's stock (NYSE: TGT) is down over 23% to just under $104 per share as of yesterday's close. Over the past 12 months, TGT shares have declined almost 29%.

Amazon Lets You Add Alexa to Your Car for Practically Free With 73% Off Echo Auto (Newest Model)
Smart assistants can be a huge help in a lot of aspects of our lives. They're great when you need to set an alarm because you're cooking, or helping to look up an obscure fact because a kid asked you, or you just can't quite remember the name of a specific band from 40 years ago. However, they can also be a huge help when you're driving, but that's a little harder to integrate. See at Amazon It doesn't have to be hard to manage though, and if you're looking for a way to add more Alexa into your life, but specifically your driving, then the Amazon Echo Auto is what you need. This amazing little device is normally $55, but thanks to an incredible Amazon Prime Day deal going on right now, you can get it for just $15, which is 73% off. The Amazon Echo Auto is a completely hands-free device that can easily be placed in your car, and it has five microphones built into it to make sure it can hear you no matter what you're doing. That means it's great whether you're rocking out to Sleep Token, or if you've got the AC blasting because life without it is simply too warm to deal with. Why does it listen though? Well, that's easy. It can do a huge number of different things with no problems. It functions quite similarly to the Amazon Echo Pop, which means you can ask it to play music from a huge number of sources, you can both call and message using nothing but your voice, and you can even enjoy things like podcasts or the news with no issues. If you're a smart home fan, you can even use this to connect to your smart devices there, and control things like your thermostat or even turn the lights off as long as you've got compatible devices. This means you can have the AC going before you even get home, and that's the kind of service you normally have to pay a lot more than $15 for. This device is worth it for a lot of people at $55, so the chance to save 73% on it and get it for just $15 isn't one you should miss out on. Heck, the thing even lets you fast-charge your phone. It offers a huge number of services in one easy-to-install package, so don't wait around for too long to get this. See at Amazon
