Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Madharasi', recently attended the Nasscom People Summit 2025 as a guest. During the segment titled 'The Man Behind the Laughs: Siva Karthikeyan's Rise from Small Screen to Silver Screen', the 'Amaran' actor opened up about several aspects of his career, providing insights into the life of an artist.advertisementDuring the Q&A session with the audience, when asked which of his films he would like to make a sequel of, Sivakarthikeyan's candid reply left the audience laughing. He said, 'I'm scared of sequels because it should be a very good script and that shouldn't spoil the first part's success also. So I am always scared, but I want to try 'Maaveeran''s sequel because it was a unique script.'Sivakarthikeyan's 2023 film 'Maaveeran', directed by Madonne Ashwin, was a fantasy-action drama that marked a turning point in his career. The film follows a timid cartoonist who gains a mysterious inner voice that guides him to become a reluctant hero. Co-starring Aditi Shankar and Mysskin, the film earned praise for its inventive narrative and social commentary. A commercial success, 'Maaveeran' grossed over Rs 80 crore worldwide.
'Madharasi' is directed by AR Murugadoss and marks the actor's first collaboration with the blockbuster filmmaker.
