Morgan Wallen's No. 1 Hit Is Barely Making Noise At Country Radio

Forbes3 days ago
Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae's 'What I Want' rises to No. 15 on Adult Pop Airplay but barely clings ... More to the Country Airplay chart at No. 60, reflecting its pop-focused strategy. When Morgan Wallen's latest album I'm the Problem debuted on the Billboard charts a little over a month ago, it came with a brand new smash single. 'What I Want,' his collaboration with Canadian pop singer Tate McRae, launched atop multiple tallies at once, including the Hot 100, where it gave McRae her first career champion on that list.
Weeks later, it's clear that 'What I Want' is becoming a major success at pop radio. Meanwhile, the country world — where Wallen remains the biggest star the scene has experienced in many years — has yet to fully embrace the track.
'What I Want' Returns to the Country Radio Chart
'What I Want' returns to the Country Airplay chart this frame, but only barely. The Wallen/McRae duet appears on the ranking of the most successful tunes at country radio at No. 60, in last place.
Morgan Wallen's Low-Ranking Hit
This frame is just the second for the track on this roster, as it previously debuted and peaked at No. 55. 'What I Want' is likely not being promoted to country radio, or at least not heavily. Instead, it's being pushed to pop stations. Although Wallen remains a fixture at country radio, the fact that 'What I Want' appears may be due solely to his incredible popularity and the general success of the tune.
'What I Want' is a Pop Radio Win
While 'What I Want' is off to a very slow start on Country Airplay, it is currently performing significantly better on two of Billboard's three pop radio lists. This frame, Wallen and McRae reach a new high point of No. 15 on the Adult Pop Airplay list, up one spot from last time around. 'What I Want' also holds its all-time peak of No. 19 on the Pop Airplay tally, the most important top 40 radio list in America.
Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae Rise on the Radio Songs List
'What I Want' is also just getting started on the all-genre Radio Songs chart, where the collaboration debuted last week. This time around, it improves slightly, pushing to No. 45, though it still ranks below all of Wallen's other successes at the moment.
Morgan Wallen's Five Country Radio Smashes
While 'What I Want' may never become a breakout hit at country radio, that doesn't mean it's not successful. Wallen and his team are likely just giving different radio formats one or two tracks to focus on at a time instead of flooding the country market.
As 'What I Want' returns to the Country Airplay list, Wallen fills five spaces on the 60-spot roster, which is nearly unheard of on one of Billboard's most competitive tallies.

Is Ginny & Georgia season 4 happening? Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on July 5, 2025, 19:30 IST Last updated July 5, 2025, 19:51 IST Alright, Ginny & Georgia fans, let's talk about the big question: Is Season 4 of Ginny & Georgia actually happening? After that wild Season 3 finale on Netflix (June 5, 2025, anyone?), we're all dying to know what's next for Ginny, Georgia, and the Wellsbury crew. From release dates to cast gossip and juicy plot hints, here's the lowdown on everything we know about Season 4. Has Ginny & Georgia Season 4 Been Greenlit? You bet it is! Netflix dropped the news back in May 2023, giving the green light for both Seasons 3 and 4 in one go. With almost a billion hours of watch time racked up by fans (yep, we're obsessed), it's no shocker they're keeping the Wellsbury drama train chugging. The writers are already scribbling away, so Season 4 is locked and loaded. More Miller family chaos? Count us in! When Can We Expect Season 4 to Hit Netflix? No exact date yet, but let's play detective with the timeline. Ginny & Georgia has a history of making us wait—Season 1 hit in February 2021, Season 2 in January 2023, and Season 3 took forever until June 2025. That's roughly a two-year gap, give or take some production hiccups. Word on the street (okay, from Brianne Howey's interviews) is that filming might kick off late 2025—maybe September or December. Shooting usually takes about five months, and then they need another eight or nine for editing and all that jazz. So, best guess? Season 4 could land between October 2026 and February 2027. Who's Coming Back for Season 4? The gang's (mostly) all here! Based on Season 3's cliffhangers and what we've heard, expect these familiar faces to pop up in Season 4: Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, the fierce mama bear Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, navigating her complicated teen years Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Georgia's son with a growing dark side Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Ginny's on-again, off-again love Sara Waisglass as Max Baker, Marcus's sister and drama queen Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, the supportive mom next door Scott Porter as Paul Randolph, Wellsbury's mayor and Georgia's husband Raymond Ablack as Joe, Georgia's old flame Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller, Ginny's dad Katie Douglas as Abby, part of the MANG crew Chelsea Clark as Norah, another MANG member Sabrina Grdevich as Cynthia Fuller, the grieving mom with a grudge Some characters' futures are shakier. Gil (Aaron Ashmore) got framed by Austin for murder, so his return is uncertain, though Brianne Howey teased there might be more to his story. Nick (Dan Beirne) got the boot from Paul's team, so his role could be reduced. We might also meet new characters, like Georgia's creepy stepfather or her mysterious mom, who popped up in the Season 3 finale. What's the Story for Season 4? Heads-up: Season 3 spoilers ahead! Season 3 left us with a lot to unpack, and Season 4 is set to dig deeper into the Miller family's messy world. The creators, Sarah Lampert and Sarah Glinski, have teased that the theme for Season 4 is 'Cycles and Origins.' That means we're diving into Georgia's past—think her abusive stepfather and maybe even her mom, who could stir up trouble in Wellsbury. One of the biggest bombshells from Season 3? Georgia's pregnant! Creator Sarah Lampert confirmed it, pointing to Georgia's milk-chugging scene in the finale. But here's the twist: Who's the dad? Georgia hooked up with both Paul and Joe, and even Lampert admitted she's torn on who it'll be. This love triangle is sure to spark major drama, especially with Georgia and Paul's marriage on rocky ground. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . Benson Boone Outsells His Competition Several Times Over

Benson Boone's American Heart debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 but claims No. 1 on the Top Album ... More Sales chart with 30,000 copies sold. MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - NOVEMBER 10: Benson Boone performs onstage during the MTV EMAs 2024 held at Co-op Live on November 10, 2024 in Manchester, England. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic) Benson Boone debuts his new album American Heart in the runner-up spot on the Billboard 200 this week. While he misses reaching the summit, the Grammy-nominated pop singer achieves a new career high, as his latest full-length collection comes in behind I'm the Problem by Morgan Wallen. American Heart wasn't the most consumed album in the United States, but it was the bestselling. When it comes to pure purchases, Boone wins by a wide margin. American Heart Debuts at No. 1 Luminate reports that in its first seven days of availability in the country, American Heart sold 30,000 copies. That sum is easily the largest of the week, and Boone's latest opens at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart. A Clear Winner Boone didn't face any serious competition on the Top Album Sales tally this frame. Coming in at No. 2 is I Quit, the latest full-length by Haim. That set, powered by the three Grammy-nominated sisters, kicks off its time on that list with a little under 13,400 pure purchases. That means Boone outsold his closest competitor by more than twice over. Benson Boone Vs. Morgan Wallen American Heart arrives with 61,000 equivalent units shifted. Almost exactly half of those were actual sales, while streaming activity made up much of the rest. Unlike on the Top Album Sales ranking, Boone misses the No. 1 spot on the overall tally, the Billboard 200, and he didn't come very close to the summit when looking at the final numbers. I'm the Problem moved another 177,000 equivalent units in its sixth week — almost three times as many as American Heart shifted in the same timeframe. American Heart Starts on Four Billboard Charts American Heart debuts on four Billboard charts, and opens inside the top five on all of them. In addition to ruling the Top Album Sales list, the newly-released project also kicks off its time at No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums ranking. The set narrowly enters the highest half of the top 10 on the Top Streaming Albums list, beginning at No. 5.
