Kate Ritchie steps out in a $659 Ralph Lauren jacket to grab a morning coffee as Nova ratings thrive during her absence and rehab stint following public meltdown
The former Home and Away has been receiving ongoing treatment at a rehabilitation clinic in the wake of a public meltdown in a park back in January.
Kate, 46, dressed smartly in a $659 navy Ralph Lauren corduroy jacket layered over a grey T-shirt.
She completed her look with a pair of blue jeans and burgundy Adidas sneakers.
Her brunette locks were swept back into a neat ponytail and she appeared fresh-faced, wearing little to no makeup.
The sighting comes amid ongoing speculation over when she'll return to co-host Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie on Nova 96.9 following her sudden departure in January after a troubling public incident in a Sydney park.
Despite her absence, the breakfast radio show has continued to thrive with just Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli at the helm, recently recording its highest ratings in almost a year.
The duo pulled in an impressive 8.7 per cent share of the audience in the latest survey, putting pressure on Nova bosses to make a decision about the show's future direction.
Kate has been seeking ongoing treatment and support following a highly publicised breakdown, during which she was photographed appearing distressed in a public park shortly after picking up her daughter Mae from school.
At the time, Kate released a heartfelt statement on social media explaining her decision to step away from the show.
'I struggle with mental health issues at times, which are deeply personal. This has proven to be a bigger challenge than I imagined,' she began.
'So I have decided to take a break from the show and the team who I love to focus on my health. I want to thank all of those who are helping me through this very difficult time. I love you. Thank you Nova for being there when I need you.'
Kate went on to address the images taken on January 29.
'This is also a problem many others are struggling with. They know what it's like. The images of me taken last week show that I wasn't okay on that day,' she continued.
She went on to thank her friends and fans for their support.
Her brunette locks were swept back into a neat ponytail and she appeared fresh-faced, wearing little to no makeup
'Thank you to my wonderful family, all the Nova listeners, and many others who are sending their love and support. I appreciate it more than you can imagine,' she wrote.
Footage obtained by Daily Mail Australia then showed the former actress crying while on the phone, wiping tears from her eyes and burying her head in her hands.
A witness, who saw Ritchie get out of the car at the park, said the star 'looked really distressed'.
'She walked around a bit in the park while talking and then suddenly she sat down and started rocking her whole body back and forth and crying,' they said.
'It was really confronting – she looked so upset. When she turned around her eyes were all red and puffy and she looked absolutely devastated.'
The actress was then seen struggling to get up from the grass.
'After the call ended, she tried to stand up but lost her balance and sort of fell over again,' the bystander added.
'When she finally managed to get to her feet, she started making another phone call... she looked much happier during that call.'
Kate then walked around to the back of the vehicle – holding an arm out on the car as she got into the driver's seat and drove home.
At the time, Nova's co-hosts had promised their audience that the absent Kate would return after one day off, but that timeline was soon dropped.
This isn't the first time Kate has stepped away from her duties at Nova.
In 2022, she took an extended hiatus from her drive-time program with Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey, citing exhaustion and burnout. She never returned to that show either.
Nova has remained tight-lipped on any potential comeback date and did not respond to questions about whether the embattled star had continued to receive pay during her absence.

'I was set on fire aged 3 - 300 surgeries later, a special gift has given me my life back'
A woman who experienced a freak horror accident at the age of three has thanked the tattoo artist who helped heal her trauma with a special design - and has nominated her for a Pride of Britain award A mum who tattoos beautiful designs over scar tissue to give people back their confidence has been nominated for a Pride of Britain award. Artist Kate Challinor, who is based in Leeds, has been praised by her friend Sarah Allum, 49, after she was gifted an arm tattoo through Kate's charity, the Inkredible Foundation, to cover up extensive burns from a freak childhood accident. Mum of two Kate, 46, suffered years of surgeries due to her own health issues, which left her with permanent scarring. 'I wouldn't have had the confidence to go somewhere to have my scars covered,' she says. With the encouragement of a friend, she decided to teach herself how to use a tattoo gun. After 12 months of practise, she was ready for her first client: a pal who was left with scarring after having a single mastectomy to treat breast cancer. After two years of freelancing, Kate launched the Inkredible Foundation in May 2023 - a charity that offers tattoos of any size to cover scars, completely for free. And in the short time since its launch, Kate has tattooed more than 70 women left with surgical scars that were having a ''detrimental effect'' on their daily lives. Kate says: 'It's about making them feel beautiful again. Every scar has got its own story. Everyone who comes through the door, if they've got a scar, they've usually got trauma. They want to heal from their trauma, and having the tattoo is just part of that.' She adds: 'Some of these ladies, especially the breast cancer survivors, wouldn't let their husbands see them naked again, so it's lovely helping them get their confidence back. Their husbands love me! 'We should be proud of our scars. Usually they're a result of surviving something; they're a reminder to us to celebrate what we've overcome.' Sarah Allum found out about the charity and, in October 2024, travelled from her home in Cornwall to meet Kate and to start the two-day process of covering the third-degree burn scars on her right arm and shoulder. 'I was set on fire aged three and sustained 46% third-degree full thickness burns,' she tells the Mirror. 'I've had more than 300 surgeries to date on my burns, which cover the right side of my body; my chin, neck, chest, torso, right arm, underarm and shoulder. 'It's basically most of my right side - front side, and back from my chin and hip.' Sarah was thrilled with the results of Kate's work and the positive impact it has had on her mental health. 'I'm more outgoing in myself,' she smiles. 'I'm happier. My kids have noticed the difference, too. This is the first summer in my life I have felt good wearing a short-sleeved top. 'After my early trauma, I can never overstate what a huge step mentally that has been for me - and I have Kate to thank.' Sarah has nominated Kate as a Local Hero in the 2025 Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards with P&O Cruises. 'Kate has her own health struggles, yet she puts 110% into everything she does,' Sarah added. 'She has gifted so many people with tattoos that change people's lives in such a positive way. 'I was one of those lucky people. The confidence she has given me is fantastic. I owe this beautiful lady the world for what she has gifted me.' Kate adds: 'I'm honoured and touched that I've been nominated for a Pride of Britain award, that's lovely to me that someone believes in me that much.' The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards with P&O Cruises honour the nation's unsung heroes, with the star-studded celebration screened every year on ITV.

Lynne McGranger shares shock career news after winning Gold Logie and retiring from Home and Away
All signs pointed to Lynne McGranger retiring from acting for good when she won the Gold Logie on Sunday night. The veteran actress, who quit Home and Away earlier this year, appeared content to rest on her laurels after a decades-long career. But the 72-year-old revealed on Monday that she is far from finished when it comes to her acting aspirations. 'I'm not retiring, absolutely not,' she told The Daily Telegraph following her Gold Logie win. 'If I had the opportunity to come back to television at some point, of course I would consider it depending on the role and the show … but not another 33 years because otherwise I'd be very, very old.' The star has already lined up her next gig - she is touring with the stage play, The Grandparents Club. Lynne has the lead role in the musical comedy, which is on the road around Australia until October. The performer says that the 'stars have aligned' for her, and she's 'very comfortable' with her choice to quit the soap and pursue a stage career. McGranger took home the crown on Sunday night when she was awarded the Gold Logie at The Star in Sydney. She took to the 2025 Logies stage with a smile in her gold gown as she accepted the award from 2009 winner Rebecca Gibney. Lynne beat TV stars Ally Langdon, Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Poh Ling Yeow and Sonia Kruger for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. 'Wear a pretty dress they said. You'll be fine they said,' joked Lynne, who recently announced she was leaving her soap show after 33 years. 'I'm thrilled and honoured... I don't know if any of you have caught my press lately. There hasn't been much,' she said. 'I did promise if I won the Gold Logie, I would carry it around in my handbag for a year, which is better than baring my white a** on TV, Larry,' she added. The joke was in reference to The Morning Show host Larry Emdur having his behind tattooed live on air last year after he won the Gold Logie. Lynne then joked she would have her ashes put in the Logie when she dies, before thanking her Home and Away co-stars and crew. McGranger filmed her final scenes for Home and Away in March, saying goodbye to her character, Irene, after over 30 years in the cast. She was gifted flowers by her co-stars, including Ada Nicodemou, and looked very emotional - albeit elated - as she finished up at Seven's long-running serial. 'I've had the ride of my life. And I love each and every one of you so much: The cast – Ray, Georgie, Emily, Shane, Ada, James, all the young'uns,' she said in a statement. 'The art department, the writers, everybody – there are so many unsung heroes. This show is made up of so many parts,' Lynne continued. 'You're all amazing, and it's been my great privilege to work with each and every one of you. I'm touched, I'm humbled and I'm so honoured. Thank you so much.'

Noel and Liam Gallagher's collaboration with the sportswear brand saw their followers flocking to the shop to pick up exclusive clobber. Among them was Louise MacKenzie from Glasgow, who made the trip to get her hands on a new top. Louise said: 'I bought the two Adidas tops with some vinyl and a poster. 'This bundle cost me £215. But it is worth it though. 'It has been so difficult to get this stuff online.' Pierce Sheridan, 39, from Edinburgh was delighted with his haul. He said: 'I got my Adidas bucket hat, a poster and a few other things. 'I even got a babygrow for my little nephew. 'I'm going to the gig on Saturday so I am really looking forward to that. Watch the moment that 'proves' Oasis feud is finally over as Liam Gallagher pays emotional tribute to Noel live on stage 'I wasn't really looking at the cost, I just tapped the card.' Richard Bell, 45, 'I got a poster and some records, and I also got the programme. 'I've just spent over £150 on this lot. 'I think it's great that they have the shop. 'However, I won't have any of the new Adidas stuff on as I will be wearing a vintage 90's t-shirt.' Another fan made a four-hour journey to get his hands on some of the merchandise. Alex Drummond, 15, made the trip from Skye with his dad. He said: 'I am buzzing to get my merch as I am going to the gig on Friday. 'I really want the new football top so I hope they still have them. 'I expect to pay over £100 today. All my pay has gone towards this.' The pop-up shop is expected to remain open until the final gig next Tuesday so that revellers can get their hands on exclusive merchandise and vinyl. There will be a huge range of Oasis Live '25 clothing and accessories on offer, including limited items and special brand collaborations. Tops were selling for £85 with vinyl going for as much as £50 with posters setting punters back £10. We previously told how snooty Edinburgh council officials also said punters at the shows will be mainly 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room'. And secret planning briefings warn: 'Concerned about the safety of the Fringe and its performers. Many performers are considering not attending for that weekend. 'There is concern about crowds . . . as they are already rowdy . . . and the tone of the band.' Edinburgh Fringe bosses also blamed Oasis's sell-out Murrayfield megagigs for a massive slump in ticket sales. Between the three Oasis gigs and another AC/DC show on August 21, 290,000 revellers are expected to descend upon the capital - clashing directly with the Fringe, which runs throughout most of August. Festival promoters and venue operators fear that punters could be put off from attending the Fringe due to the unprecedented demand from music fans. Bookings for the international comedy festival, which runs throughout August, are reportedly down by 35 per cent for some shows.
