I've seen true face of killer Kenneth Noye… he's a ruthless thug who sent me a chilling threat & The Gold is a whitewash

TO viewers of the hit TV drama The Gold, he comes across as a loveable rogue who helped launder the bullion stolen in one of the UK's most infamous heists.

Well, I've penned three bestselling true crime books about Britain's most notorious criminal and his associates - and I have little doubt he's one of the most ruthless villains this country has ever seen.
In fact, I've even been on the receiving end of a chilling threat from Noye himself.
Yet today, this convicted killer is flirting with fame and The Gold has become the latest chapter in his alleged rehabilitation programme.
He's turning into a celebrity criminal, which must be devastating for so many of his victims and their families.
As police hunted down the missing millions, Noye killed undercover cop John Fordham in the garden of his Kent mansion in 1985 - although he was acquitted of murder after claiming he believed the police officer was a hitman.

He was later jailed for the brutal road rage murder of innocent motorist Stephen Cameron, 21, in 1996.
But following Noye's 2019 release from prison, he launched his own one-man public relations campaign, which has included a series of carefully orchestrated public appearances.
This once self-styled invisible man of the underworld turned up at a
Then he attended an art gallery which featured a portrait of him perched atop a pile of gold bars.
And he even 'unofficially' co-operated with a well known TV documentary-maker for a crime series, as well as contributing to a true crime biography about him.

Yet only a few years earlier - while serving the life sentence for the murder of Stephen Cameron – Noye had scribbled out a threatening note inside a book I'd written about him, which was passed to me by a concerned prison officer.
In it, Noye had written: 'I'm certainly no killer. Wensley Clarkson has published loads of lies about me in his books and caused untold damage. The tables will turn one day.
"All the very best - Ken Noye.'

Framed claims
Noye was sentenced to life in 2000 for the murder of Stephen Cameron - who he stabbed to death on a motorway slip road in Swanley, Kent.
For more than thirty years, Noye had insisted that 'the cozzers' had fitted him up for both the killings he'd committed because of his links to the Brinks-Mat gold.
Yet having threatened me and insisted he'd killed no one, Noye - the convicted murderer - convinced the parole board he was a changed man.
And in 2019, he was released for 'good behaviour'.
By all accounts,

The real Noye is a workaholic criminal who goes after anyone who crosses him, including the innocent road rage victim.
One old school villain I know recently tried to convince me Noye was a changed man after months of therapy in prison, which had helped convince the parole board to release him after he'd served a 16-year minimum tariff sentence.

But it seems more likely that slippery Noye used therapy as a passport to freedom because he's clearly not one to dwell on the past.
It is said that the makers of The Gold were so worried about Noye suing them, it's alleged they persuaded him to sign off on a sanitised version of himself, which left numerous unanswered questions about that road rage killing and Noye's time on the run in Spain.
Typical Kenny Noye. Always in control.

Lion 'guard' at home
When Noye and gold smelter John 'Goldfinger' Palmer were turning that stolen bullion into cash, following the Brink's-Mat robbery, he was smart enough to join the Freemasons after being nominated by a friendly police officer.
This enabled him to stay one step ahead of Kent Police, where several officers were believed to be masons.
In the days, weeks and months after the robbery, Noye emerged as the ultimate criminal fixer. He'd even hidden some of the gold in a pit he dug at the end of his garden 'for a rainy day'.

Later, Noye told one veteran detective I know that he presumed no one would dare come looking for that gold because he kept a lion prowling freely around the grounds of his home.
Noye's neighbours had heard numerous stories about the lion but none of them were brave (or stupid) enough to tell the police anything about it.

Meanwhile country gent Kenneth Noye donated handfuls of cash to local charities and even held a couple of fetes in the grounds of his immaculate mansion.
And when he finally got nicked for handling the gold, he tried to bribe decent, honest Brink's-Mat chief investigator Brian Boyce - portrayed so well by Hugh Bonneville in The Gold – with a Freemason handshake and a million pounds.
Noye always claimed back then that he hated the notoriety that came with the Brink's-Mat gold.
Yet while on the run in Spain - where he fled after the fatal road rage attack - he kept a copy of my first book about him, Public Enemy Number One, on the passenger seat at all time and would show it off to anyone travelling in his car.
When Noye was first released from prison back in 2019, I resisted the temptation to drag his name back into the limelight, despite the public uproar from many who continued to see him as Public Enemy Number One and felt he should never have been let out of jail.

But then one old lag I know told me he'd seen a photo of 'reformed criminal' Noye taken in a bar in his beloved Kent a couple of years after his release. Either side of him were two of the region's most notorious drug lords.
Noye was no different from the ruthless, criminal mastermind who'd been found not guilty of murdering policeman John Fordham in the garden of his Kent mansion, after claiming he acted in self-defence.
I once asked an associate of his if Noye had ever talked about what had happened the night the undercover officer died.
'Kenny just said it was kill or be killed,' said his associate. 'He got away with that one, but it was only going to be a matter of time before he'd lose it again.'
That happened on the M25 where Noye ended up murdering Stephen Cameron in the heart of the criminal's home county of Kent.

Stephen's heartbroken family and 17-year-old Danielle Cable - who saw her fiancé knifed to death on an intersection - have never fully recovered from what Noye did that day.
They suffered so much heartbreak that Stephen's 75-year-old father Kenneth killed himself in 2022.
The family must have been stunned the following year when Noye issued a public apology to them and Danielle, insisting she was 'safe' from any reprisals.
He even denied allegations made by detectives that he'd paid a hitman to kill Danielle when he was on the run in Spain.
And now The Gold has once again obliged them to re-live it all over again.
Whatever the truth of about the current status of Kenneth Noye, no doubt this won't be the last we will be hearing from him.

Bob Geldof Issues Impassioned Plea to the People of Israel about Imposed Starvation in Gaza

Responding to the appallingly grim pictures taken in Gaza of starving children, and published by the Express and the BBC today, in a moving statement, the Irish singer – and founder of Band Aid and Live Aid – asks the people of Israel: 'Have you become so inured to the similar images of your own historic horror that you cannot feel or see anything anymore?' Bob Geldof has made an extraordinary, impassioned plea to the people of Israel to end the starvation and killing of Palestinians. The founder of Band Aid and Live Aid was asked by the Express newspaper to respond to pictures published by them, and by the BBC today, of skeletal, starving children, who have been denied aid by the Israeli government and army. 'What has happened to the Israeli people?' Geldof asks. The question is all the more powerful, coming from a man who has long been active in Holocaust Memorial activities and events. Bob Geldof is a Founding Patron of the British Holocaust Museums Aegis Trust for Genocide Studies. He was among those who gave the inaugural address in Westminster Hall, for the first National Holocaust Day Memorial in the UK. The lead singer with the hugely successful Irish rock outfit The Boomtown Rats also received the Lyndon Baines Johnson Moral Courage Medal from the Houston Holocaust Museum of the United States of America. 'Whatever the titanic enormity of your own past and current suffering, what has happened to you,' he asks of the Israeli people, 'that you should allow this for even one fraction of a second? That you should create and perpetuate the suffering of this tiny little speck of humanity?' The shocking images of starving children in so many ways speak for themselves, as the effects of the genocide – now widely accepted as being perpetrated against the Palestinian people – are shown in all of their appalling barbarity. 'Your government and your army seem to be out of control,' Geldof insists. 'Every word from their mouths is a distortion of reality and the truth. Why do you, the sovereign state of Israel, tolerate and permit this? Why do you force people into helpless ghettoes and then purposely starve them? Or seemingly randomly shoot them as they approach for the scant food you dangle in front of their starving bodies?' It is one of the most powerful indictments yet of a policy that has seen people die in their tens of thousands – and which has now extended to the use of starvation as a tactic – not just of war, but of a thinly veiled campaign to steal the land and 'ethnically cleanse' the Gaza strip of Palestinians. 'It is simply no longer possible,' Geldof charges, 'to blame the current rhetoric or actions of your Prime Minister, the extremists in your government, the policies of that government or the actions of your military on the disgusting, barbarous and murderous events of Oct 7. You are way, way past that now. 'Whatever your war aim once was and however justifiable you felt that to be, at what point did the aim become the deliberate starvation of a terrified, tormented, traumatised population?' he asks. All over the world, there is an increasing awareness of the inescapable truth that what is taking place in Gaza – what is being done there by the Israeli army in the name of the people of Israel – is utterly beyond the pale, and must be stopped. But the political response is sadly, desperately, behind that of ordinary people. 'Has hatred consumed you such that extravagant evil is the permissible norm?' the Irish rock hero asks. 'Has revenge so curdled your moral sense that all pain, all terror, all agony appears as victory? Has a false and foul sense of destiny enabled an equally delusional notion of national prerogative and right?' There is, of course, a solution to the madness. It is staring the world in the face – and yet so many politicians and leaders are being mealy-mouthed in the face of the horrors. In a tone that is reminiscent of his pleas in 1984, when he responded to the famine in Ethiopia by launching the Band Aid single 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' – which went in ti become one of the biggest selling singles of all time, he now has this to say. 'Feed the children of Gaza and they're tormented, terrified, broken, and panicked mothers,' Geldof pleads. 'Do it tonight before you settle into your unthreatened dinners and the latest Netflix soap and your heavily censored news reports and online feeds. There is no argument in the world, no war aim, no imagined future that justifies this photograph and it's abysmal and shameful, disgusting truth.' Geldof emphasises finally how impossible it is to believe that the people who themselves suffered the monumental, murderous atrocities of the holocaust should now be responsible for such an appalling degradation of an entire people: the Palestinian people. 'I am incredulous that it is you Israelis that are doing this,' he concludes. 'how? How did you get to here guys? How did it ever get to be so base? Shame on you.' • The full text of Bob Geldof's statement can be viewed on

Inside Ibiza ‘death hotel' on lockdown after two Brits die in a month… as rooftop guards watch tourists & parties banned

IBIZA Rocks is on lockdown after its fourth death in just three months - with parties cancelled, heightened security and night-time patrols. Staff at the popular San Antonio party spot are on edge - with non-guests banned from the hotel and security guards pacing the roof with torches at night. 14 At least seven holidaymakers have lost their lives at Ibiza Rocks Hotel Credit: News Group Newspapers Ltd 14 The infamous hotel is known for hosting major events for partygoers 14 Security guards have been patrolling the roof at night and beaming torches at anyone messing around on balconies Credit: News Group Newspapers Ltd 14 Gary Kelly's death at Ibiza Rocks Hotel prompted all events to be suspended After a spate of tragic tourist deaths at the hotel, The Sun visited the infamous resort. At least And the death of two Brits - Evan Thomson, 26, and Gary Kelly, 19 - in just three weeks sparked the cancellation of all upcoming events "out of respect". While the hotel's pool is still packed with party-goers, security guards have ramped up patrols - particularly at night - and blocked off the entrance to the building. Hotel guest Layla Right, 25, from Newcastle, revealed how staff have been patrolling the roof at night and beaming torches at anyone "d*****g around" on the balconies. She told us: "As soon as they see anyone being silly on the balconies, they flash the torch straight at them. "They must be terrified of it happening again. "There was an Australian bloke hanging off the balcony earlier and they were onto him in a flash." Most read in The Sun Layla said it was 'eerie' the morning after Gary died - but added that the atmosphere is back to normal now. And she said guests are under the impression that the events will be resumed this week. Teen holidaymaker, 19, plunges to his death in horror fall just days after Scots tourist died at SAME Ibiza hotel Layla's pal Lee, 30, bumped into Gary's heartbroken friends outside the hotel after the tragedy on July 21. Gary plunged from a third floor balcony at the four-star hotel - and paramedics could do nothing to save him at the scene. Lee said: 'You could see they were absolutely devastated. "And they're still staying there now - they've said they know it's what he would have wanted. 'So they've stayed on to honour his memory.' Gary - a keen ice hockey player - had arrived just hours before he died and police are still investigating his death. Two weeks earlier, Evan Thomson, 26, from Aberdeen, died in similar circumstances after a fall from a sixth-floor balcony. Evan's loved ones slammed the hotel's response in the following days. They claimed they were stuck in an office for hours without answers and heard pressure washers cleaning the spot where he fell just 90 minutes after he fell. The hotel has temporarily cut its daytime DJ party programme, which usually pumps out music by the pool until 8pm. But £18 tickets are currently available online for non-guests for the 'Love Juice Ibiza Day Party - which happens every Saturday. 14 Sun man Patrick Harrington outside the notorious Ibiza Rocks Hotel Credit: News Group Newspapers Ltd 14 The Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio - where two Brits have died just months apart Credit: News Group Newspapers Ltd 14 Fellow Brit Evan Thomson died just over two weeks before Kelly in similar tragic circumstances 14 The letter put under the door to all residents of the Ibiza Rocks hotel following the latest balcony death. Credit: Doug Seeburg Harry Harknett, 25, from Bedfordshire, checked into Ibiza Rocks on Monday just hours after Gary's death - to find a letter offering them compensation. He said: 'We weren't told anything about the death by the hotel, which felt a bit odd. "The first I knew about it was when I looked at the news, and I'd already checked in by then. 'We got a letter under the bedroom door explaining that the events have been cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances', and offering everyone compensation. 'Other than a strong security presence, you wouldn't know anything had happened. "The vibe is still upbeat inside - the pool was absolutely packed at 2pm today." The pool and dancefloor are usually accessible to non-guests if they buy a day pass, but The Sun was turned away when we tried to buy one on Wednesday. And security guards have taken up positions on the street - meaning you can't get within 40 metres of the hotel entrance without a booking. Jack Cairns, 27, from Southampton, is staying with four mates for a week at Ibiza Rocks and arrived on Sunday - a day before Gary fell. He said: 'It's so sad. Not what you want to hear when you get to a hotel. 'I don't know how it happened exactly [to Gary]. But I do think the railings on the balconies could be higher. 'Some of the third-floor balconies have railings that are barely waist height. Jack continued: 'I've definitely noticed that security ramped up. "You see them patrolling the corridors which they didn't do before. 'Most people know what's happened because all the events have been cancelled - which is the main reason most people booked the place.' Some guests staying at the hotel had heard nothing of the recent deaths until they were approached by The Sun. Evan's friends said the hotel's handling of the situation was "horrific" on the night he died. His pal Blair Robertson, 25, told Press and Journal: "We heard the jet washes from the ground cleaning the area where Evan died and it had only been 90 minutes or so since he was found. "That was the worst thing for us to hear – how fast they tried to get things back to normal." Another pal, James Shand, said: "Seeing them post 'are you all ready for the next event?' within hours of it happening was sickening. "If something like this happened in the UK, the place would get shut down." 14 Mum Amy, 23, died at the hotel in her sleep after going out partying Credit: Facebook 14 Mum Amy, 23, died at the hotel in her sleep after going out partying Credit: Facebook Two deaths rocked Ibiza in April when a Paramedics and police rushed to the hotel but pronounced the 33-year-old dead after 40 minutes trying to resuscitate her. Just three days earlier, a 19-year-old Italian tourist died after she fell from the fourth-floor of the hotel. The woman is said to have been partying late into the night before returning to her room and finding she was locked out. In August 2020, another incident saw a Amy Connor, 23, had been sunbathing with her sister and their friends before heading back to her room to shower and have a nap. The seventh reported death at Ibiza Rocks dates back to 2008. British holidaymaker Michael Robertson, 23, collapsed at the hotel after taking ecstasy. He was rushed to the Can Misses Hospital but passed away suffering repeated heart failure. Read more on the Irish Sun After Gary's death, Ibiza Rocks said in a statement: "The safety and well-being of our guests has, and always will remain, our highest priority. "Given the seriousness of the situation and out of respect for those involved, we believe it is right to pause our advertised events programme at this time." Full statement from Ibiza Rocks When approached for a comment, Ibiza Rocks said: "The tragic incidents of the past few weeks have deeply affected many. "We continue to work closely with the authorities and our thoughts and support remain with everyone impacted. "Much of the hard work that goes into safety and security in hotels and venues across the world happens behind closed scenes. "With thousands of guests passing through our doors every summer, it takes a collective effort from our team, security and local partners to maximise safety for all. "In times like these, care matters - but so does action. "We have zero tolerance for any behaviour that puts our guests or our team at risk and we are building on the strong work we already do to go even further. "Out of respect and privacy for the people involved, we don't usually comment on individual reports posted online, but that certainly doesn't mean we're not always listening. "We're committed to working with anyone who raises solid concerns so that we can establish the facts and take the appropriate steps. "Our hotel remains open and more information on the future events programme will be shared as soon as possible." 14 The Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio, Ibiza Credit: News Group Newspapers Ltd
