The social media accounts of many Pakistani actors were banned once again in India, only a day after they suddenly became visible. On Wednesday, Indian netizens were surprised to see the Instagram accounts of Pakistani stars like
,
, Ahad Raza Mir, Yumna Zaidi, and Danish Taimoor pop up on their feeds.

Accounts were visible for just a day
Now, within a day, these accounts are once again banned in India. Now, if anyone tries to find them, they see a clear message: "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content."
Interestingly, other big Pakistani names such as
,
, and Hania Aamir never became visible at all. Their social media accounts stayed banned even during this brief period.
Back on 8 May, the Indian government had issued a strict advisory to all OTT platforms and digital streaming services. They were told to remove any web series, films, music, podcasts, or any other content that comes from Pakistan. This step was taken to keep firm on India's stance against cross-border concerns.
AICWA steps in with a letter to PM Modi
The quick reappearance of these Pakistani actors' accounts caught the attention of the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA). On Wednesday itself, the group wrote a letter to Prime Minister
, raising strong objections.
In their letter, AICWA said: 'It is deeply concerning and absolutely unacceptable that social media accounts of Pakistani artists like Mawra Hocane, Yumna Zaidi, and several Pakistan-based channels are once again visible in India."
They didn't stop there. The letter went on to say: "This is not merely a digital appearance — it is a direct insult to the sacrifice of our martyred soldiers and an emotional assault on every Indian who lost a loved one in terror attacks perpetrated by Pakistan.'

Squid Game's Wild American Remake_If It Happens, DiCaprio Might Be the Main Guy!

The Squid Game Craze Isn't Over-Now Hollywood Wants In Just when you thought Squid Game fever had finally cooled down, director Hwang Dong-hyuk has thrown gasoline on the fire. In a recent chat, he said that if a US remake of Squid Game ever gets the green light, he'd want none other than Leonardo DiCaprio as the lead! Yeah, you read that right-Jack from Titanic playing the most desperate contestant in a deadly game. Imagine the memes, the Oscar buzz, and the absolute chaos on social media if this actually happens. For Indian youth who grew up watching both K-dramas and Hollywood blockbusters, this is like your two favorite worlds colliding. It's the kind of crossover you'd expect in a Marvel movie, not in a gritty survival drama. Why DiCaprio? And Is This Actually Happening? by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Beachfront Living in Mumbai at Sunteck Beach Residences Sunteck Realty Learn More Undo So, why DiCaprio? Hwang Dong-hyuk didn't just pull his name out of a hat. The director has previously mentioned that DiCaprio is a fan of Squid Game, and there's been playful talk about maybe reaching out to him for future projects. But here's the twist-there's no official American Squid Game in the works yet. Netflix is reportedly working with David Fincher (yes, the Fight Club guy!) on a US spin-off, but nothing has been confirmed about casting or even if the show will keep the Squid Game name. There's some drama behind the scenes, too. Fincher apparently wants to change the title to something more familiar for American audiences, while Netflix wants to stick with the global brand. So, the whole project is kind of in limbo right now. But if it does move forward, DiCaprio's name is definitely in the mix, at least in the director's dream casting list. What Would a US Squid Game Even Look Like? Let's be real-if Squid Game gets the Hollywood treatment, it's going to be wild. Imagine the games: instead of Ddakji or Red Light, Green Light, maybe we'd get dodgeball or musical chairs, but with a deadly twist. And the prize money? If the original was 45.6 billion KRW (about ₹275 crore), you can bet the US version would crank it up even more, maybe throwing in a Tesla or a beach house in Malibu for good measure. For Indian viewers, this is a bit like when Bollywood remakes a South Indian hit-you're excited, but also a little nervous about what they'll change. Will it keep the raw, brutal edge of the original, or will it get all glossy and lose its bite? And will DiCaprio pull off the desperate, everyman vibe that Lee Jung-jae nailed? Only time will tell. The Fandom Is Already Losing Its Mind The idea of DiCaprio in Squid Game has already set the internet on fire. Some fans are hyped, others are skeptical. But everyone agrees-it would be a massive pop culture moment. For young people who grew up idolizing both Korean and Western stars, this is the kind of news that makes you want to binge-watch the original all over again, just to imagine how it could look with a Hollywood twist. And honestly, isn't that what makes global pop culture so fun? Seeing your favorite stories get reimagined, remixed, and sometimes totally reinvented for new audiences. What's wild is how much this mirrors the way Indian cinema borrows and adapts global hits, making them our own with a desi flavor. Whether it's a remake or a spin-off, the excitement is all about seeing something familiar through a totally new lens. Here's hoping if DiCaprio does join the Squid Game universe, he brings the same intensity and chaos we love in both K-dramas and Hollywood blockbusters. PS: If this ever happens, someone needs to cast Shah Rukh Khan as the VIP guest. Just saying.

Ramayana First Look Video: Producer Namit Malhotra Says, 'It's The Story Of Our History'

Last Updated: Producer Namit Malhotra unveils the epic Ramayana, calling it a tribute to India's culture and history. 'It's my dream project,' he says at the grand reveal. The moment the title announcement video of Ramayana dropped, it sent shivers down our spines. Everything—from the sweeping 3D visuals to the thunderous background score—was calibrated for awe. The digital avatars of Lord Ram and Ravana looked straight out of a mythical dreamscape. And then came the moment of stillness and power: a fleeting but iconic glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, pulling back his bowstring, ready to strike. The cinematic video opened with an arresting line that set the tone for the epic ahead: 'The war to end all wars. Worshipped for 5000 years by 2.5 billion people." It wasn't just a film teaser—it was an invocation. Speaking at the film's grand unveiling, producer Namit Malhotra took the audience through the emotional journey of bringing Ramayana to life. 'I started in this industry 30 years ago, growing up in a film family, working out of a garage studio in Mumbai that eventually became a global company," he shared. 'But nothing compares to this dream—bringing Ramayana to the world in the grandest form imaginable." Calling it a story that defines Indian culture, values, and spiritual heritage, Malhotra emphasized the global importance of Ramayana. 'It's a tale of humanity, of truth, and of how we understand ourselves. This is not just a film—it's our collective memory, our identity." He also expressed deep admiration for director Nitesh Tiwari, calling his vision 'unique and exemplary." Malhotra added, 'What we're sharing today is only the beginning. The teaser and trailer will follow soon—and we promise they'll be worth the wait." The video unveiled more than just visuals—it introduced the celestial cast. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, with Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash stepping into the role of the formidable Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Laxman, and Sunny Deol as the mighty Hanuman. If the title reveal is anything to go by, Ramayana is not just another film—it's poised to become a cinematic legacy that retells India's most revered epic for a global generation.

Diogo Jota's wife, Rute Cardoso, posted wedding reel hours before husband died in car crash; they married 10 days ago

Life is uncertain. At times, it is cruel, merciless and unforgiving. It is difficult to imagine what Rute Cardoso, footballer Diogo Jota's wife, must be going through right now. One should not even try to imagine. Rute lost her husband and the father of her three children, 10 days after they got married. Devastating. Heartbreaking. Unimaginable. Diogo Jota with his wife and three children(Rute Cardoso/Instagram) It was nothing short of a dream for Rute and Diogo when the long-time couple got married in an emotional affair on June 22. Little did they know that their joy came with an expiry date. In the early hours of July 3, Diogo Jota and his brother Andre died in a car crash in northwestern Spain early on Thursday, when their Lamborghini veered off the road and burst into flames. Barely a few hours before the fatal crash, Rute and Diogo jointly shared an emotional video on their Instagram handles. It was their wedding reel, filled with happy memories, unseen photographs and the promise of forever. "A day we will never forget," was the caption of the post. A quick glance at Rute's Instagram handle reveals how happy and content she was to finally tie the knot with her partner of 10 years. Diogo Jota and wife Rute Cardoso were a match made in heaven Diogo Jota and Rute Cardoso first met in 2012 when they were just 13 years old. The two grew up together in Porto, Portugal, attending the same high school, where their relationship began. From a young age, Rute has supported Jota through every stage of his footballing career, following him across clubs and countries. Together, they have built a family and are now proud parents of three children. Their two sons are named Dinis and Duarte, while the name of their daughter has not been publicly revealed. In July 2022, Diogo proposed to Rute by a lake, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. They were married on June 22, 2025, in their hometown of Porto. The wedding was celebrated with their children by their side, and heartfelt messages were shared on social media. Rute captioned a wedding photo with, 'June 22, 2025. Yes to forever,' while Jota wrote, 'A day we will never forget.' Later, Rute posted again, calling it, 'My dream come true,' to which Jota lovingly replied, 'I'm the lucky one.' How did Diogo Jota die? According to a statement from Spanish police, evidence from the scene suggests that Jota's vehicle suffered a burst tyre while he was overtaking, leading to the fatal accident. Both Jota and his brother lost their lives in the crash. Their bodies have been transported to a forensics unit in Zamora, where autopsies are being conducted. The football world has been left in shock, with tributes pouring in from fans, teammates, and clubs. Liverpool FC, where Jota spent four successful years, expressed their sorrow in a statement: "Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota." Jota, born in Porto, began his professional career with Paços de Ferreira before rising to prominence with Wolverhampton Wanderers. He joined Liverpool in 2020, scoring 65 goals in 182 appearances and helping the club win the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup. He also earned 49 caps for Portugal and twice lifted the UEFA Nations League trophy. Reflecting on his achievements, Jota once said, "It is a remarkable achievement for a small guy that came from Gondomar, where I had this dream. It's a moment I will cherish forever."
