Liverpool Make New Contract Offer to €50M-Rated PSG, Real Madrid Target

Liverpool center back Ibrahima Konaté has yet to agree to a contract extension, sparking fresh speculation about a potential move to PSG or Real Madrid. According to Diario AS, Real Madrid are interested in signing Konaté this summer—but only if Liverpool lower their price. The Spanish giants are reportedly willing to offer between €20 million and €25 million, while Liverpool are holding firm at a €50 million valuation. Madrid are unlikely to meet that asking price, especially with Konaté said to be keen on the move. The club is reportedly willing to wait until 2026, when he could leave as a free agent. Liverpool keen on keeping PSG, Real Madrid transfer targetOn Wednesday, Foot Mercato reported that Liverpool hasn't given up and has submitted a new, improved contract extension offer. It's another step for the Reds to keep the French defender, but it will be interesting to see if this proposal meets the player's demands. Recently, journalist David Lynch, who focuses on all things Liverpool FC, shared his thoughts on the Konaté situation and where the player might be headed—whether he stays to extend his contract with Liverpool or explores opportunities with clubs like PSG or Real Madrid. 'Real Madrid are clearly interested aren't they – there is no question about that! But speaking to people close to Konate, I still get the feeling that his priority is to renew with Liverpool and there are talks there, but it is kind of stuck at the moment,' Lynch said on the Sports Mole YouTube channel. 'I don't think it has reached the point of no return and the player has definitely decided he wants to go to Real Madrid, I don't get that feeling at all. That's not to say that it won't end in that way because that possibility is 100 percent on the table, but we are still in the moment where there is hope there will be a breakthrough.'
