The 19-year-old made the Big 12 All-Freshman Team with the Cougars this past season after averaging 10.6 points on 41.2 percent shooting (27.3 percent 3 PT) with 3.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.2 steals. He also had 2.9 turnovers, almost half of his assist average.
Demin also played for Real Madrid, just like Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic. The former mentioned the latter as well as reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as NBA players he wants to emulate, via ClutchPoints' Erik Slater.

'Big guards. The best players in the pick-and-roll on really high usage," he said. "They're the heads of the snake. Being able to anticipate and really control the game with the ball in their hands.'

Gilgeous-Alexander also won the scoring title and the NBA Finals MVP this past season.
Demin hails from Russia and represented the country at the 2021 FIBA U16 European Challengers tournament, where he averaged 21.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per 40 minutes. He possesses a unique skillset as a pass-first guard at 6-foot-9-inches.
Brooklyn also drafted French guard Nolan Traore at No. 19 overall, guard Ben Saraf out of Israel at No. 26, and Michigan forward Danny Wolf at No. 27. It also took North Carolina guard Drake Powell at No. 22, although the pick still officially belongs to the Atlanta Hawks until July 6. The team acquired that selection in Tuesday's Kristaps Porzingis trade.

Bayern not afraid of PSG in big Club World Cup quarter-final showdown

Munich's Har Munich's Harry Kane (2nd R) and team-mates applaud the fans after the FIFA Club World Cup round of 16 soccer match between CR Flamengo and Bayern Munich at the Hard Rock Stadium. Sven Hoppe/dpa Harry Kane's Bayern Munich are not intimidated by Paris Saint-Germain's top billing as they aim to topple the Champions League and treble winners in the Club World Cup quarter-finals. PSG are considered favourites for the title on July 13 after lifting the biggest European title at last with a 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan on May 31, while also winning the French League and Cup. Advertisement They proved their credentials with a 4-0 last 16 demolition of Lionel Messi's Inter Miami on Sunday. Bayern then advanced 4-2 over Brazil's Flamengo which according to board member for sport Max Eberl led to "euphoria in the dressing room." Luis Enrique's PSG were surprisingly beaten 1-0 by Botafogo in the group stage, and also 1-0 by Bayern in November in the first phase of the Champions League. "It's going to be another difficult match against PSG, they've had an unbelievable season," said Kane, who scored a brace against Flamengo. "We already played against them this season and came out on top. We have to try to take the energy and the good feeling into this match. Advertisement "We know it's going to be difficult but we feel like we can beat anyone when we're at our top level. We need to recover well now and prepare.' Kane was a standout player yet again, not only for his two goals for 2-0 and 4-2, but also for his overall work for the team which included a late sliding tackle. "This tackle, those are the moments we needed today, a prime example," midfielder Leon Goretzka said. Coach Vincent Kompany said: "For me, it's a luxury that players of that quality want to do that, especially when you're a goalscorer. But you don't win prizes these days without the whole team showing this willingness." Advertisement Said Kane: "Goals are part of my game, it is part of my job. But I do everything for the team." The exhausted Kane came off late, and looking at the England captain sitting next him at the news conference, coach Vincent Kompany said that the "six days of rest are now important" ahead of Saturday's game in Atlanta. There the air-conditioning in the arena will suit both sides, and Kompany expressed confidence that his team can deliver a top performance. "We are now up against the best team in Europe. But we want to win," Kompany said.

The 15 most intriguing NBA free agents available in 2025

NBA free agency is here, with the 6 p.m. ET start to the negotiating period on Monday, June 30. That means we might get a whole bunch of reported news that evening with signings and moves. Before that? It's time to start looking at the biggest names available, and we've decided to look at it with intrigue. The superstars available? That's more of a trade thing. But there are some players who could turn an also-ran into more of a contender, and that's what we're focused on here. MORE NBA: Tracking the top 2025 undrafted free agents So let's dive in! Here are the most intriguing names on the market in the NBA as we get set for the free agency madness: 1. C Myles Turner STATUS: Unrestricted The Indiana Pacers center is your ideal modern NBA anchor in the middle -- he can block shots on one end and hit threes on the other. Any team could plug him in and see his presence pay dividends immediately. 2. SF Jonathan Kuminga STATUS: Restricted Hmm. Is Kuminga a flawed player who Steve Kerr struggled to figure out? Or a young player still figuring it out who has untapped potential? If it's the latter, expect an offer sheet from a team rolling the dice. 3. PG Josh Giddey STATUS: Restricted The Chicago Bulls player had a great year as a distributor and rebounder and could be another offer sheet candidate. 4. C Brook Lopez STATUS: Unrestricted Yes, he's getting old. But no, he's not looking old. Dude can still block shots and hit threes. 5. C Deandre Ayton STATUS: Unrestricted There's a lot of chatter about where he's headed after the Blazers bought him out (COUGH Lakers COUGH COUGH), and while Ayton's skills on the defense end aren't the best, he's a scorer and a rebounder in the middle. 6. SG Cam Thomas STATUS: Restricted He can score! We know that much. Everything else? ... Not quite his game. But there's value here that can be unearthed on the right roster. 7. SG Ty Jerome STATUS: Unrestricted He was a terrific glue guy in Cleveland, with some scoring, threes and steals every game. 8. PF Santi Aldama STATUS: Restricted I'm curious if he gets an offer sheet given his stretch forward skills. 9. SG Nickeil Alexander-Walker STATUS: Unrestricted A 3-and-D player who will make himself some money this offseason. 10. C Clint Capela STATUS: Unrestricted He can still rebound and block shots. That's something. 11. SG Quentin Grimes STATUS: Restricted He EXPLODED in Philly, so maybe that was a sign of things to come. 12. PF Dorian Finney-Smith STATUS: Unrestricted See above for what I said about 3-and-D guys. 13. SG Bruce Brown STATUS: Unrestricted Another glue guy for contenders. 14. SF Duncan Robinson STATUS: Unrestricted You need shooting from a stretch forward? Here you go. 15. SG Caris LeVert STATUS: Unrestricted An effective shooting guard who can score. Not a home-run hitter, but that's not a bad thing.
