Jisoo to star in new Netflix rom-com with Seo In-guk

20 Feb - BLACKPINK's Jisoo is set to cooperate with Seo In-guk in the new Netflix rom com series, "Boyfriend on Demand" (working title).
The drama will have the singer playing the role of Seo Mi-rae, a career-driven webtoon producer who finds her love life taking an unexpected turn when she receives a "Monthly Boyfriend" device that allows her to date seemingly perfect virtual suitors.
On the other hand, Seo plays Seo Mi-rae's rival Park Kyeong-nam, who is more than just his frosty exterior.
The drama will be helmed by Kim Jung-sik of "No Gain No Love" fame.
This will be Jisoo's latest acting work following JTBC's "Snowdrop" and her new Prime Video series "Newtopia".
On her music front, Jisoo previously inked a global deal with Warner Records for her solo music career, with her first solo mini album "Amortage" releasing on 14 February.

Gaga will be playing Rosaline Rotwood, a Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday Addams (Ortega). Known for his work that often blends fantasy and horror, the 66-year-old filmmaker rose to prominence with his movies such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and the Batman (1989). His unique storytelling and visual flair have made him a fan favorite, with other successes including The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Big Fish and Alice in Wonderland. Though Lady Gaga is mostly known as a singer, she has multiple acting credits under her belt. She made her TV debut in American Horror Story: Hotel, winning a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie, as well as earned critical acclaim for her lead role in the 2018 film A Star is Born, which garnered her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. She later starred in House of Gucci alongside Adam Driver and Joker: Folie à Deux, further proving her versatility on screen. Currently, the artist is on her eighth concert tour The Mayhem Ball, in support of her 2025 album, Mayhem.
