Hyderabad City Civil Court gets bomb threat
According to a police official, 'The city civil court received a bomb threat mail today in the early morning hours at 3:15 am. The officials saw it at 11 am and informed us. The bomb squad and other officials are conducting a thorough search of the court premises. So far, nothing has been found. We will provide further details later.'
On Sunday, Raja Bhoj International Airport, located in Madhya Pradesh's capital, Bhopal, received a bomb threat through an email, which turned out to be a hoax call, a police official said.
In a similar incident, a bomb threat at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 3 in the early morning of June 26 prompted a swift emergency response, but was later confirmed to be a hoax, officials said. A crew member had discovered a paper with a bomb threat on a flight at Delhi's Terminal 3 at 4:42 AM. After a search, the Delhi Fire Service declared it a hoax.
Earlier on April 22, the Gauhati High Court in Assam's capital city received a bomb threat via email, officials said, adding that it turned out to be a hoax. A senior police official of the Guwahati city police had told ANI that the threat was received via email from an anonymous account.
On April 10, a bomb threat was received at two prominent landmarks in the national capital -- the Red Fort and Jama Masjid. According to the Delhi police, Bomb Detection Teams (BDTs) and CISF swiftly carried out thorough checks at both sites. However, no suspicious objects were found, and the call was later declared a hoax by the Delhi Police and the Delhi Fire Service (DFS).
Earlier, on February 7, several schools in Delhi and Noida received bomb threats. Delhi Police cracked down on hoax bomb threats sent to over 400 schools across the national capital, arresting a juvenile responsible for the menacing emails.
After the Police cracked down on the case of a series of hoax bomb threats sent to Delhi schools, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that it is the work of depraved minds to destabilise social harmony and the progress of the nation. 'It is (the work of) depraved minds to do this kind of efforts (attempts) to destabilise social harmony and the progress of the nation...We have to be careful of such divisive forces, both in India and internationally and we need to fight them tooth and nail..,' Goyal told reporters. New Delhi [India], July 12 (ANI): Delhi's Tis Hazari Court has granted bail to a woman accused of pouring hot water mixed with chilli powder on her husband to kill him. This case pertains to an FIR registered at Nangloi Police Station. A charge sheet has been filed after an investigation. Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Saurabh Kulshrestha granted bail to the accused Jyoti alias Kittu after considering that, as per MLC, the victim has suffered simple injuries. 'Insofar as the issue regarding threats to the victim and the witnesses is concerned, the same can be taken care of by imposing appropriate conditions, the court said. 'Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the applicant or accused Jyoti alias Kittu is ordered to be admitted to regular bail on furnishing a bail bond in the sum of Rs 30,000 with one surety in the like amount,' said ASJ Kulshrestha on July 9. It is alleged that on 01.01.2025, the accused, who was to kill her husband, had poured boiling water mixed with red chilli powder on the face, mouth and chest of the victim. When she was questioned by him, she stated 'tujhe to jaan se marna hi hai' (I want to kill you). Thereafter, the accused bolted the door of the room from outside and fled from there after taking the victim's mobile phone so that he could not call anyone for help. The victim broke down the window, stepped onto the balcony and screamed for help. Afterwards, his landlord, Vikas, came there, and the victim was taken to the hospital. Counsel for the accused, while arguing for bail, submitted that the accused had been falsely implicated and she had been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of the accused, and she had earlier also filed a complaint against him on November 19, 2024. On the other hand, while opposing the bail plea, the counsel for the complainant stated that immediately prior to the incident, the complainant had made a police complaint against the accused. It was further stated that the applicant or accused was earlier married and had taken a divorce, and has a daughter from a previous marriage. This fact was not disclosed to the complainant before his marriage to the accused. (ANI)

Radhika Yadav's father had ‘liked the song' from her music video
New details in the Gurugram murder case revealed that victim Radhika Yadav was part of a music video, which her father had approved. She had featured in a romantic music video in 2024 alongside an independent artist. Radhika, a 25-year-old former tennis player, was shot dead by her father Deepak at their residence in the upscale Sushant Lok area of Gurugram on Thursday, July 10. The father confessed to killing his daughter and was arrested on July 11. Earlier, police had mentioned that a particular music video of Radhika might have caused tensions within her household, and confirmed that this aspect will also be probed. Inam-ul-Haq, who worked as an actor in the music video, told news agency ANI that on the music video set, Radhika had "mentioned that her father liked the song, which means she took permission from her father also..." He said Radhika was accompanied by her mother during the shooting of the music video. "When we met her for the first time, she told us that she wants to work in this line -- ads, movies, music videos,...She desired to work in this that, we never met," Inam said. He revealed that Radhika had promoted the song on her social media days later. "We were in contact during the release of the deactivated and reactivated her Instagram account around 2-3 times...," he claimed. Radhika Yadav was shot death by her father on July 10. She received four bullets, three in the back and one in the shoulder, according to the postmortem report by a board of three doctors, said police. That done, her body was handed over to the family and taken for last rites to the family's village in Wazirabad, close by. She was cremated on Friday evening. About 150 people, including her grieving family, attended the funeral with her brother Dheeraj lighting the pyre. Her father, who confessed to the crime and told police he was taunted for living off her income from a tennis academy, was produced in court on Friday and remanded to one day's police custody. Police earlier claimed the tennis academy ran by Radhika was the bone of contention between the father and the daughter. Her father reportedly felt that he was financially well off and also earned from rental income, so there was no need for his daughter to run an academy, the police claimed.

Deepak Yadav, father of Radhika Yadav, shot her four times at their residence in Gurugram(Facebook/ANI) A towering arched window pane dominates the three-storey facade. A green tarpaulin sheet dangles from the top, perhaps to shield against the punishing summer sun or monsoon drizzles. A white Thar stands in a narrow driveway, flanked by motorbikes. But it is inside this house, in Gurugram's upmarket Sector 57, that 51-year-old builder Deepak Yadav allegedly pumped four bullets into his daughter, tennis player Radhika Yadav, while she was cooking breakfast around 10.30 AM on Thursday. Police said the victim was cooking a meal for her mother, Manju Yadav, who was celebrating her birthday. The autopsy confirmed that Radhika was shot four times in the back. 'Four entry wounds in the back were found. All four pellets were retrieved from the body. There were no exit wounds. Her heart and lungs were pierced causing excessive blood loss resulting in the death,' said Dr Deepak Mathur, Gurugram civil hospital forensic wing in-charge. Deepak has confessed to the crime, and the initial police investigation has hinted at a toxic cocktail of social pressure, patriarchal insecurities, and wounded ego as one of the motives behind the shocking crime. But the crime has also shaken one of India's most prosperous pockets, where skyrocketing salaries and real-estate heft often hide an ugly underbelly of caustic social attitudes that are steeped in an aversion to modern life, especially women's freedoms. 'When I used to go to Wazirabad village to get milk, people used to taunt me, saying that I live off my daughter's earnings. Some people even questioned my daughter's character. I told my daughter to close her tennis academy, but she refused. This situation kept bothering me as it hurt my dignity,' Deepak told the police during questioning, officials said. 'Because of this tension, I took out my licensed revolver, and when my daughter Radhika was cooking in the kitchen, I shot her from behind, hitting her waist. I have killed my daughter,' he has told the police, according to officials.
