His Majesty was presented with a detailed briefing on the objectives and achievements of Youth City 2030. The initiative, launched as a leading platform for youth empowerment, offers a comprehensive training environment focused on developing skills and preparing young Bahrainis for active roles in national development. It currently hosts 195 training programs and provides 5,500 diverse opportunities across key sectors. During the visit, His Majesty toured the city's five core centers: He also explored the Youth Market, a vibrant space showcasing innovative projects and entrepreneurial ventures led by Bahraini youth, reflecting their creativity and drive. The visit concluded with a group photograph of His Majesty alongside the organizers and team members of Youth City 2030, in recognition of their dedication and outstanding contributions to this national initiative.

This follows a serious traffic accident he recently suffered. This generous directive reflects His Highness's compassionate approach in supporting and caring for the nation's youth, especially athletes. It also highlights his keen interest in monitoring their well-being and addressing their health and social needs, in recognition of their valuable contributions to Bahraini sports. In response, Hussein Al-Haiki expressed his sincere gratitude to His Highness for this kind gesture, which has greatly lifted his spirits and eased his hardship after the painful accident. He affirmed that this noble support truly demonstrates the care and attention His Highness dedicates to sports and athletes. Bahrain Backs Qatari Nominee for Asian Olympic Council Presidency

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, reaffirmed Bahrain's continued support for Gulf sports leaders taking on international roles. He emphasized that such backing aligns with the shared vision of Gulf cooperation in sports, which aims to empower talented individuals from the region to hold prominent positions on regional, continental, and global platforms. Shaikh Khalid announced Bahrain's support for the candidacy of His Excellency Shaikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, for the presidency of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). He described Shaikh Joaan as a distinguished sports figure in the Gulf with a proven track record of international achievements. Known for his strong leadership, reputation, and extensive experience, Shaikh Joaan currently serves as the First Vice President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), among other key positions. Shaikh Khalid praised Shaikh Joaan's strategic vision for leading the OCA, which focuses on development, promoting collaboration in governance and sports administration, and strengthening the infrastructure and institutional capacities of member national Olympic committees. He also highlighted the strong and brotherly ties between Bahrain and Qatar, especially in the sports sector, and wished Shaikh Joaan every success in the upcoming elections, expressing confidence in his ability to represent the Gulf and Arab world at the helm of Asian sports.
