HM King Hamad Visits Youth City 2030
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, paid a visit to Youth City 2030, reaffirming the nation's commitment to nurturing and empowering young talents. Accompanying His Majesty was His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King's Personal Representative. Upon arrival, His Majesty was warmly received by key leaders in youth development: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; Mr. Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; and Ms. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, along with several senior officials and project supervisors. His Majesty was presented with a detailed briefing on the objectives and achievements of Youth City 2030. The initiative, launched as a leading platform for youth empowerment, offers a comprehensive training environment focused on developing skills and preparing young Bahrainis for active roles in national development. It currently hosts 195 training programs and provides 5,500 diverse opportunities across key sectors. During the visit, His Majesty toured the city's five core centers: He also explored the Youth Market, a vibrant space showcasing innovative projects and entrepreneurial ventures led by Bahraini youth, reflecting their creativity and drive. The visit concluded with a group photograph of His Majesty alongside the organizers and team members of Youth City 2030, in recognition of their dedication and outstanding contributions to this national initiative.

HH Shaikh Khalid Orders Treatment Abroad for Footballer Hurt in Accident
His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, has ordered to cover the medical treatment of Al-Dair Club player Hussein Al-Haiki abroad. This follows a serious traffic accident he recently suffered. This generous directive reflects His Highness's compassionate approach in supporting and caring for the nation's youth, especially athletes. It also highlights his keen interest in monitoring their well-being and addressing their health and social needs, in recognition of their valuable contributions to Bahraini sports. In response, Hussein Al-Haiki expressed his sincere gratitude to His Highness for this kind gesture, which has greatly lifted his spirits and eased his hardship after the painful accident. He affirmed that this noble support truly demonstrates the care and attention His Highness dedicates to sports and athletes. Hussein's father, Abdullah Ahmed Al-Haiki, also conveyed his deep appreciation for this humane initiative, which he said was expected from His Highness. He added that the directive to fund his son's treatment brought comfort to the family and opened new hope for improving his son's health with specialized care from some of the world's best rehabilitation centers.

Bahrain Backs Qatari Nominee for Asian Olympic Council Presidency
His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, reaffirmed Bahrain's continued support for Gulf sports leaders taking on international roles. He emphasized that such backing aligns with the shared vision of Gulf cooperation in sports, which aims to empower talented individuals from the region to hold prominent positions on regional, continental, and global platforms. Shaikh Khalid announced Bahrain's support for the candidacy of His Excellency Shaikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, for the presidency of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). He described Shaikh Joaan as a distinguished sports figure in the Gulf with a proven track record of international achievements. Known for his strong leadership, reputation, and extensive experience, Shaikh Joaan currently serves as the First Vice President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), among other key positions. Shaikh Khalid praised Shaikh Joaan's strategic vision for leading the OCA, which focuses on development, promoting collaboration in governance and sports administration, and strengthening the infrastructure and institutional capacities of member national Olympic committees. He also highlighted the strong and brotherly ties between Bahrain and Qatar, especially in the sports sector, and wished Shaikh Joaan every success in the upcoming elections, expressing confidence in his ability to represent the Gulf and Arab world at the helm of Asian sports.
