Thuldrun.Sunya Blends Ancient Indian Mythology with Modern Science, Debuts at #1 Bestseller in the Urban Fantasy Category

Thuldrun.Sunya debuted at #1 in Hot New Releases and Bestsellers in Urban Fantasy. Co-authored by qualitative researcher Sheetal Choksi and technologist Samiran Ghosh (two-thirds of the award-winning 3 Techies Banter podcast), this groundbreaking novel redefines young adult fiction.
Whats in a title
It started with Thorium-element 90. A silvery metal with nuclear potential along Indias southern coast. Safer, cleaner, often forgotten. Then came the wild idea: what if an ancient Indian civilisation had already cracked nuclear power generation What if they encoded it in Sanskrit as 'Tula-Drona'-the balance of Dronacharyas advanced knowledge from the Mahabharata
3,000-year-old ancient Indian tech meets modern conspiracy against the backdrop of Mumbai in this bestselling urban fantasy thriller
And the zero While most techies would have slapped a 1.0 at the end and been satisfied, they got philosophical. India did not just give the world zero; it gave śūnyā. Not merely a numerical placeholder, but a cosmic void encompassing emptiness and infinite potential. Zero is just a number, whereas śūnyā encompasses emptiness and a state of non-being, often linked to spiritual concepts such as emptiness and the potential for all things to be.
The Story
Set in Mumbai, the novel follows teenager Ansh Chatterjee (Teen. Conspiracy nerd. Maggi addict) who accidentally uncovers a secret challenging historical narratives and pitting him against a 3,000-year-old destructive force.
Picture Thuldrun: cities humming with thorium cores, equations dancing in Sanskrit across holographic walls. A civilisation powered by science, not sorcery – peaceful, powerful, possibly interstellar. A rebellion against limiting ancient humans to just hunters and gatherers.
So, the next time youre in Dadar – pause – look down. Those pavement cracks Perhaps not civic negligence but fractures in spacetime, remnants of something the universe tried to erase.
The Creators Speak
'The past doesnt need resurrection – it needed translation. We explore the intersection where India's pracheen wisdom meets modern technological possibility,' says Samiran Ghosh.
Sheetal Choksi adds, 'Podcasts are just books waiting to happen. We turned our mythology-versus-science debates into literary jazz.'
Reader Praise
'The city isnt just a setting-its a living, breathing character.'
' You can picture the streets, the people, the energy of the city. It's a fresh take with a gripping plot that doesn't feel overdone or clichd.'
'Thrilling mix of tech/sci-fi and mythology set in the heart of Mumbai, and so much more (including a chapter from a dog's perspective)'
Is this the first of many See that infinity symbol Thats your clue.

Anupam Kher makes big statement on Operation Sindoor hero Colonel Sofia Qureshi, says, ‘Presented her…'

After the Pahalgam attack shook the nation, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, targeting and destroying several terrorist bases across the border. Amid the operation, one face stood out—not from the battlefield, but the briefing room. Colonel Sophia Qureshi, a high-ranking officer in the Indian Army's Corps of Signals, led media briefings, keeping the nation informed and composed during the tense period. Who is Colonel Sophia Qureshi? Sophia isn't just another officer in uniform. She made history as the first Indian woman to lead a military contingent at an international exercise. With clarity, calmness, and courage, she became the Army's voice after the Pahalgam attack. Her presence wasn't just a performance—it was reassurance. Anupam Kher meets Sophia Qureshi Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is currently promoting his new film Tanvi the Great, recently met Colonel Sophia and shared their interaction on Instagram. In the photo, he's seen gifting her his book. His caption read, 'OPERATION SINDOOR: I was extremely HAPPY and deeply HONOURED to meet Col. #sofiyaqureshi recently and present her my fourth #SelfHelp book #DifferentButNoLess! She epitomises the grace, valour, dignity and bravery of #IndianArmy. Thank you Col. Qureshi for your warmth and appreciation! Jai Hind! #Proud' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Anupam Kher (@anupampkher) The post has since gone viral, with fans calling the moment 'real patriotism'. What's 'Tanvi the Great' and how is it connected? Kher's film, Tanvi the Great, which tells the story of a young girl fighting against all odds to chase her dreams, has just been granted tax-free status in Delhi, following its earlier declaration as tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. Sharing the update, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote on social platform X, ' I am pleased to share that the Delhi Government has declared the film 'Tanvi the Great' tax-free in the state. With an impactful narrative of inclusion, the film is an inspiring story of a young, 'special' girl-Tanvi, who is determined to achieve her dreams against all odds. Tanvi's story is emotional and inspirational. We are committed to promoting films that strengthen the spirit of Rashtra Seva, ignites patriotism, and awakens the conscience of the nation. Best wishes to the entire team of the film. @AnupamPKher' I am pleased to share that the Delhi Government has declared the film 'Tanvi the Great' tax-free in the state. With an impactful narrative of inclusion, the film is an inspiring story of a young, 'special' girl-Tanvi, who is determined to achieve her dreams against all odds.… — Rekha Gupta (@gupta_rekha) July 23, 2025 From Colonel Sophia's real-life bravery to a film that celebrates courage in another form, this moment reminds us that strength wears many faces. Sometimes it's in uniform, other times in the cinema. But both spark something real: pride, purpose, and power.

Mann ki Baat: PM Modi lauds rising interest of youth in space, start-ups

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lauded the growing interest among students and the youth in the field of space, science, sports and start-ups, saying the space journey of Subhanshu Shukla and the earlier launch of Chandrayaan-3 has created a new curiosity among children about space science while the stellar performance of our sportspersons has encouraged more young people to excel. These developments have led to the rise of start-ups in the two areas, he said. In his monthly 'Mann ki Baat' address, the Prime Minister said that in the last few weeks, a lot of events have taken place in the field of sports, science and culture which have made every Indian proud. "Recently, there was a lot of talk in the country over Shubhanshu Shukla's return from space. As soon as Shubhanshu landed safely on earth, people jumped with joy... a wave of happiness rippled through every heart. The entire country was filled with pride. I remember, when Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed in August 2023, a new ambience was created in the country. A new curiosity also arose among children about science and space," Modi said. ICT Mumbai biocluster receives catalytic funding to boost translational biopharma research

Mumbai: In a significant boost to India's translational research ecosystem, ICT Mumbai's Biocluster secured Rs 30 crore in catalytic funding from the Indian Translational Research Institute (ITRI). The translational biopharmaceutical facility aims to bridge the gap between lab-stage research and clinical application. The eight-storey cluster will focus on rare diseases, synthetic biology, and AI-driven drug development. It will house a GMP-ready biologics pilot plant, shared R&D infrastructure, and advanced training zones for workforce development. Dr Ratnesh Jain, Principal Investigator of the project, said the Biocluster aims to make Indian biopharma globally competitive. ITRI CEO Dr Abdur Rub emphasised the need to de-risk innovation and scale healthcare solutions. Positioned as a national translational platform, the Mumbai Biocluster seeks to empower startups, academia, and industry alike—enabling faster, capital-efficient transitions from research to real-world impact.
