David Beckham attempts to fix unmissable bald patch on his head after DIY buzz-cut goes horribly wrong
The football legend, 50, who is famous for changing up his hairstyles, was visibly fuming after almost scalping himself while using a pair of clippers to cut his own hair.
David decided to ditch his conventional short-beck-and-sides in favour of the shaved look he famously debuted at the height of his footballing glory in 2000.
And as he chopped his own locks, the head fell from his clippers mid-shave - leaving him with a glaring bald patch on the top of his head.
Now, David has shared a new selfie showing off an even shorter buzz cut as he tried to cover up the blunder.
He wrote: 'UPDATE The best I can do with the situation. @victoriabeckham still awful???'
Earlier in the day, the father-of-four was given little sympathy from wife Victoria, who appeared to revel in her husband's misfortune by sharing a video of his uneven buzz-cut with Instagram followers.
'It does not look good,' she admits as a crestfallen Beckham reluctantly shows her the bald patch. 'I'm going to always be honest with you - it looks terrible.'
However after David showed off his new look, Victoria added: 'I'm into it!!!'
Beckham has opted for the buzz-cut on numerous occasions since debuting the look during a Premier League match against Leicester City more than 20-years ago.
During a recent interview with former teammate and best friend Gary Neville for the Overlap podcast, the retired footballer even admitted it was his favourite hairstyle.
'I always like the skinhead,' he said. 'I always loved the skinhead, because it was easy and you didn't have to do anything with it.'
Ahead of his milestone 50th birthday in May, Beckham launched a new fundraising appeal for UNICEF's work to support vulnerable children.
The former footballer has worked with UNICEF for 20 years as a Goodwill Ambassador – a role that has seen him raise awareness on issues such as education, health, immunization, and protection.
The new appeal will help to improve the lives of girls and adolescent girls globally who are impacted by child marriage, female genital mutilation, violence and abuse.
In a video posted to his Instagram as the appeal launched, Beckham said: 'We are witnessing a global funding crisis where the most vulnerable children are suffering the most and urgently need our help. Please support my birthday fundraiser.
'Next month, I turn 50. It's a major milestone that has made me think about the opportunities I've had and the experiences that have shaped me.

'Today, 25 years since my first visit to a women's centre in Thailand, the world is a very difficult place for children - especially girls.
'That's why I'm launching a fundraising appeal for my birthday. I want the children who need us to believe that their voice will be heard.

Derry City forced to settle for home draw with Bohemians in clash marred by off-pitch disorder
While the Candystripes and Bohemians played out a 1-1 draw on the pitch, there were ugly scenes outside the ground with clashes between numerous masked youths and damage done to property and cars in the vicinity. Shamrock Rovers were the real winners on the night with the draw suiting neither team; the League leaders benefiting without kicking a ball. New Derry striker Dipo Akinyemi was certainly making his presence felt on his first appearance at the Brandywell as he was involved in everything positive for the home side, testing Kacper Chorazka twice before skilfully flicking the ball into the path of Michael Duffy, who drilled a shot just wide from 20 yards. The game was held up for five minutes at the half-hour mark when a flare was thrown onto the pitch, causing a hold-up in play. The home side had the best chance of the game in added-time at the end of the first-half when Liam Boyce's ball over the top sent Akinyemi in on goal, but the striker was denied his first goal for the club by Chorazka, who stuck out his left leg to keep the ball out. But Akinyemi didn't have to wait long as, four minutes into the five added-on, he was on hand to give Derry the lead, getting on the end of a brilliant cross from debutant Brandon Fleming to head the home side into the lead from close range. Bohs were lucky to get into the break just a goal down as City very nearly struck again just 60 seconds later; this time Liam Boyce got in behind, and while he was denied a shot, he turned back to find Diallo, who drilled an effort left-footed just wide of the target. The half-time break came at the perfect time for Bohs, who needed some respite, and they made the most of it, coming out for the second-half on steadier feet and levelling just seven minutes into the half. James Clarke ran in behind and held firm under pressure until he played the ball across the face of goal for Ross Tierney to volley the ball high into the roof of the net to make it 1-1. The home side struggled to respond from that setback until 10 minutes from time when Duffy crossed for substitute Robbie Benson, who floated a header agonisingly past the upright with Chorazka beaten at full stretch. That was the start of a late push from Derry, and Chorazka had to be alert and strong to push away a volley from Danny Mullen after the ball had broken into the path of the substitute. Oasis dedicate song to Ozzy Osbourne as they begin series of gigs in London
Oasis dedicated one of their hits to the late rocker Ozzy Osbourne as they made a triumphant return to London for a series of gigs as part of their world tour. Liam Gallagher told tens of thousands of fans of his pride as the band graced the stage at Wembley Stadium for the first time in more than a decade. Just three songs into their much-anticipated appearance, he declared the crowd was 'f****** beautiful', having bowed to the sea of raised arms before him. Liam and brother Noel played with their band for the first of seven nights at the stadium on Friday – with five shows over the next week and two more scheduled in September. It was the first time they had appeared together onstage at the London venue since July 12 2009, when they performed during their Dig Out Your Soul tour. Towards the end of the gig, they paid tribute to Osbourne. Lead singer Liam said: 'I wanna dedicate this one to Ozzy Osbourne, rock 'n' roll star.' The Black Sabbath star's death at the age of 76 was announced earlier this week. Oasis superfans in bucket hats and branded T-shirts had packed the Tube en route to the gig from earlier in the day, with international accents denoting the band's worldwide popularity. As with previous gigs Liam and Noel walked onstage hand in hand, opened with Hello and proceeded to belt out many of their classics including Some Might Say and Morning Glory. The packed-out stadium was in full voice throughout and at one point Liam threw a tambourine into the jubilant crowd, while later positioning one on top of his head. Despite pledging to concentrate on his vocals rather than talking – telling those gathered 'every time I open my mouth at these gigs I seem to get myself into a lot of trouble so I'm just going to do the singing' – Liam later engaged in some light football banter. The well-known Manchester City fan appeared to poke fun at Arsenal fans in the crowd, joking about their position in the Premier league. Phone camera torches lit up the stadium as darkness fell. Friday's show – the eighth of the tour – followed a five-night run of homecoming gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park and the two opening shows in Cardiff earlier this month. Following the first part of their Wembley stint, the band will head up north to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium followed by Dublin's Croke Park. The group will head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America later in the year. Oasis announced their reunion tour in August of last year – 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009 which saw Noel quit following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. While fans were excited at the Britpop band's reunion, many were left outraged after some standard tickets in the UK and Ireland jumped from £148 to £355. The controversy prompted the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing.
