The police have released a picture of the missing girl, as the search begins.

Amber disappeared in Hilltop, Hatfield

Amber was last seen in Hilltop, Hatfield on July 16.
She is believed to have disappeared between 5pm and 6pm.
Hertfordshire Police have confirmed that she was last seen wearing black shorts and a grey and beige top.

An equestrian boss who had sex with an underage girl offered her family £50,000 to drop the charges, a court heard. Guy Simmonds, 37, and fellow rider Lauren Jarvis, 26, plotted the threesome with the schoolgirl. The pair then agreed to a 'pact of silence' about the sex session, which took place after horse-riding lessons. Cardiff Crown Court heard the pair had 'no doubt at all' that the schoolgirl was under 16 – and vowed to keep it secret. James Hartson, prosecuting, said: 'At all times, he knew how old she was and so did Jarvis. The victim told him herself in one of the very first messages she sent him. 'They didn't care about her age when they were planning and engaging in a so-called threesome with the victim. 'They also knew what they did was wrong and they agreed a pact of silence when they got wind she had started to talk about it.' The court heard Simmonds bragged he was a 'top showjumper' after targeting the underage girl on Facebook. Mr Hartson said there was a 'clear element of grooming behaviour' from Simmonds before the sex took place in Jarvis's home in January last year. In one message read to court, the girl asked Simmonds what he would make her do and he replied: 'You will both do what daddy says. It will be fun.' Simmonds later messaged Jarvis saying: 'Hey, I have a feeling that she has said about us. If anyone asks, for sake of both of us nothing ever happened that night xx.' Jarvis replied: 'Hey, who's she told? Oh god has she really, what's she trying to do, make our lives hell? Of course I will xx.' The court heard Simmonds told police he did not have any form of sexual contact with the victim. But he made calls to his mother from prison instructing her to pay the victim's 'fickle' family £50,000 to drop the charges. He said: 'There is £20,000 in my account. Just f-----g give it to them. I don't care. £20,000 now and then £10,000 a year for three years.' Simmonds claimed he had been given permission to 'stray' from his partner Rebecca Dimes, 34, on the condition she 'did not want to know anything about it'. Jarvis claimed any messages about a threesome were 'banter and a wind-up'. Simmonds, of Undy, Gwent, and Jarvis, of Newport, were both found guilty by a jury of sexual activity with a child. Simmonds was found not guilty on five other charges of sexual activity with a child relating to the same victim. Judge Lucy Crowther adjourned the case for sentencing on Sept 29.

François, 64, said: "It is a major victory for us. A civil court decision went in our favour. "The travellers were told to move out within 24 hours, or else face police intervention and fines. "Around 500 of them, travelling in about 200 caravans, all left." Loic Madre, the man who shot the video, claimed the travellers moved onto the field - meant for animals to graze on - without permission. To the farmers' delight, France's Interior Ministry said tighter controls on travelling communities would be introduced in the Autumn. "The tractors almost knocked us over," said Olivier, spokesman for the Action Grand Passage association, which campaigns for traveller rights. "All we want is a place to stay for a few days, but these cowboys are stopping us," Olivier added. Last year, a similar tactic was adopted by Brit farmer Jack Bellamy when he caught a camper on his land. Shocking footage showed an angry Bellamy spotting the tent and saying: 'I tell you what, these ***** will set up anywhere.' Police want help identifying two men after popular sweet shop was targeted by burglars South Wales Police have appealed for help in identifying two men after a burglary left significant damage to a shop Police are looking to speak to these men (Image: South Wales Police) Police have asked for help identifying two men as part of an investigation into a burglary at a Neath Port Talbot shop that resulted in significant damage. The traditional sweets shop called Sweet Delights was broken into at New Road, Skewen earlier this year. The burglary took place on Friday, March 21, at 2.15am and saw significant damage being done to the shop's façade. It appeared that someone forcibly entered the shop by breaking in through the main door, damaging a mechanism and shattering a window in the process. Ashley Couch, who runs the shop with his partner Rebecca Couch, told WalesOnline in March 2025 that they were alerted to the damage by a DPD driver who had called him after seeing the damage. The damage to left to the Sweet Delights shop in the wake of the burglary (Image: Ashley Couch) Mr Couch told WalesOnline: "At around 7am on Friday (March 21), we had a phone call off a guy who was doing deliveries in the local area, to tell us that our windows had been smashed. "We left the house straight away and when we arrived, we noticed that somebody had broken in. I was devastated, it's my little family business, it's one of those things where we have built it from scratch - only for someone to come along and destroy it all." Sweet Delights was opened in February, 2023, and specialises in retro pick and mix sweets like Swansea mixture and sherbet pips. Mr Couch said at the time that children had been left crying after the burglary as they thought the shop would be closed for good. Mr Couch had explained: "The community of Skewen has been behind us and trying to help us as much as they can. Everyone loves coming to my shop, because it takes them back to their childhood. "You don't see many sweet shops where you can get sweets out of a jar anymore. "When it happened, we were up there early before the kids were going to school, and the kids were going past and half of them were crying because they thought it was gone." It was expected that the damage would require thousands to fix. Now, South Wales Police is looking to identify the two men pictured above, who may be able to help with the investigation. In a post on the Facebook page, the force wrote: "Officers continue to investigate a burglary at a commercial premises on New Road, Skewen, Neath Port Talbot which took place at around 2.15am on Friday, March 21 and are appealing for any new information. "Substantial damage was caused to the shop façade in order to gain entry. "Officers are seeking to identify the two men pictured, who were seen on CCTV in proximity to the premises. "Though the resolution is limited, we are hoping that their general appearance, alongside the vehicle, could be recognised. Article continues below "Anyone with information should contact 101, quoting 2500089261." The force told WalesOnline no arrests have yet been made in relation to the incident.
