In the relentless saga of India's fight against the insidious scourge of terrorism, Operation Sindoor stands tall—not merely as a military campaign but as a monumental testament to resilience, justice, and the unyielding spirit of humanity. This operation is a clarion call, echoing far beyond South Asia's borders, signifying India's unwavering resolve to uproot terror's poisonous roots nurtured on Pakistani soil.
The harrowing attack in Pahalgam was a wound inflicted on the very soul of our nation — vibrant lives extinguished in a brutal instant, dreams shattered, families plunged into immeasurable grief. This was not just an isolated act of violence; it was the tragic crescendo of years of calculated, state-sponsored terror, fuelled by the venomous rhetoric of Pakistan's army chief, Asim Munir—recently elevated to Field Marshal amid global controversy. His incendiary words were not mere provocation; they were a deliberate assault on India's peace and social fabric, designed to sow fear and chaos.
But India's response was nothing short of historic. Operation Sindoor was a masterclass in precision, courage, and strategic brilliance. Orchestrated with meticulous care by our intelligence and armed forces, it systematically dismantled terror networks that had long thrived with impunity. The reverberations of this operation shook Islamabad to its core, culminating in an extraordinary plea from Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) to India for a ceasefire—a tacit admission of India's overwhelming strength and Pakistan's vulnerability.
Yet, this operation transcends bilateral conflict. It is a beacon of hope for global humanity. Terrorism, bred and nurtured within Pakistan's borders, is a malignant force threatening peace worldwide — from the crowded streets of Europe to the heart of America. By decisively targeting these terror hubs, India has not only safeguarded its own citizens but has taken a stand for international security and justice. In doing so, India asserts itself as a global sentinel against terror, defending humanity's most sacred right: the right to live free from fear and violence.
The emotional gravity of this victory is profound. Every life lost in Pahalgam, every innocent soul taken, is a solemn call to action — a vow from millions of Indians to eradicate the darkness of hatred and violence. Operation Sindoor carries the weight of collective grief, yet it also embodies hope — hope for a future where children play without fear and communities thrive in peace. It sends a powerful, unyielding message: terrorism will be met with relentless courage, justice, and an indomitable will.
This is India's defining hour — a righteous blow against tyranny and a luminous beacon for humanity worldwide. The global community must awaken to the significance of Operation Sindoor. This was not aggression but a necessary act of self-defence against a clear and present danger. The era of unchecked state-sponsored terrorism is over. India's decisive action demands global solidarity, unequivocal condemnation of terror sponsorship, and accountability for those who unleash destruction.
Let Operation Sindoor be a rallying cry — a call for unity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to confront terror wherever it lurks. In this battle against hatred and violence, India does not stand alone but speaks for every mother, every child, and every community yearning for a world where the sanctity of life is inviolable.
This is not just a military campaign; Operation Sindoor is a moral victory — a profound service to humanity and a resounding testament to India's unshakable commitment to peace, justice, and the protection of innocent lives. The plea from Pakistan's DGMO for a ceasefire only underscores the magnitude of India's triumph and signals a transformative shift in regional security.
Today, India stands tall — victorious, resolute, and humane — lighting the way toward a safer, more just world.

Days after listing TRF as terror outfit, US praises Pakistan's role in 'counter terrorism'

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed gratitude for 'Pakistan's partnership in countering terrorism and preserving regional stability' as he hosted Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar read more US Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosted Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday (July 25) in Washington, lauding the latter for Islamabad's alleged role in 'counter terrorism operations'. The two leaders Friday gathered for 'comprehensive discussions aimed at bolstering US-Pakistan relations, enhancing trade ties, and addressing regional security challenges,' according to their statements to the press. In a post on X, Rubio expressed gratitude for 'Pakistan's partnership in countering terrorism and preserving regional stability' and highlighted the focus of their talks on 'expanding bilateral trade and fostering deeper cooperation in the critical minerals and mining sectors.' The leaders also explored preparations for the upcoming US-Pakistan Counterterrorism Dialogue, scheduled for August in Islamabad, with a focus on strengthening joint efforts against terrorist groups like ISIS-K to enhance regional security. Rubio underscored the need for 'expanding mutually beneficial bilateral trade' and exploring opportunities for collaboration in the minerals sector, which is increasingly vital due to global demand for critical resources. According to Arab News, Dar's eight-day US visit includes chairing several United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meetings, as Pakistan holds the rotating presidency this month. TRF's designation as terror outfit The meeting follows Rubio's recent announcement that the US will designate The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy for the Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), as both a Foreign Terrorist Organisation (FTO) and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT). The TRF had claimed responsibility for the April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which resulted in 26 deaths.

Dirty credit war erupts over Chandigarh's podium finish in cleanliness survey

To celebrate Chandigarh's impressive second-place finish in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 rankings, city mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla hosted a warm, all-party tea gathering on Friday to acknowledge the civic body's efforts toward improved cleanliness. While BJP councillors and nominated councillors attended the tea party hosted by Chandigarh mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla on Friday, AAP and Congress councillors boycotted the event. (HT Photo) But the tea party turned cold, and political, with AAP and Congress councillors giving the event a miss, accusing the BJP-led civic body and mayor Babla of taking credit for groundwork laid under previous AAP mayor Kuldeep Kumar Dhalor. While BJP councillors and nominated members sipped tea and lauded the city's progress under the current leadership, the opposition poured scorn on the celebration. In an official statement, AAP said, 'When city roads are broken, areas are waterlogged, people are drinking unsafe water and toxic leachate from Dadumajra is entering residential areas, holding celebrations is 'an insult to public pain'. When citizens are struggling…AAP chooses to stand with the people, not with those hosting hollow celebrations.' Credit should go to AAP mayor Kuldeep Kumar Dhalor: Oppn The party said it was under AAP mayor Kuldeep Kumar Dhalor that Chandigarh was ranked the best and now, a BJP mayor was wrongly claiming credit for it. Congress councillor Gurpreet Singh Gabi echoed the sentiment, stating that mayor Babla should have invited former mayor Dhalor to the Delhi award ceremony. He added, 'Chandigarh has also been put under 'small cities' category by the Union government, which is just eyewash. Besides this, BJP should first focus on solving people's grievances instead of celebrating. City roads are in poor state and infrastructure is depleting with MC crying for funds, but the mayor is focusing on celebrations.' Mayor Babla, however, said the event was a sincere attempt to celebrate the city's collective achievement in cleanliness. She extended heartfelt congratulations to the city's sanitation workers, officials and citizens, crediting their unified efforts for this national recognition. She said, 'Looking ahead to Swachh Survekshan 2025, the meeting focused on crafting a robust strategy to elevate Chandigarh's cleanliness standards even further. Key action points were discussed including intensive cleaning drives in backlanes and inner colonies; enhanced door-to-door waste collection mechanisms; strengthened monitoring of public spaces and waste hotspots; citizen awareness campaigns and feedback initiatives; and collaboration with RWAs, schools, and market bodies for grassroots engagement.' 'I urge councillors to lead by example in their wards by spearheading cleanliness awareness campaigns and encouraging public participation in the city's sanitation efforts,' Babla said.
