Why should we beg for funds for our temples and Bonalu festival, asks Bandi Sanjay
He announced that if the Telangana BJP comes to power, funds will be allocated for Bonalu and all Hindu festivals without needing to beg anyone to organise festivals that will make every Hindu proud.
Bandi Sanjay called on the residents of Old City, who were displaced by terrorist attacks and violence, to return to their homes. 'I am appealing to all of you from Old City. I stand with you as a witness to Simha Vaahini Amma and the feet of Bhagya Lakshmi. Old City belongs to you. You need not be afraid. Return home; we will take responsibility for your protection. We will unite all Hindus as a vote bank and demonstrate the strength of our community,' he assured.
During the Old City Bonala festival, Bandi Sanjay spent the day visiting various temples and participating in festivities. His route began with the Moosarambagh Pochamma Bonalu festival in the morning and stops at locations such as Akbar Bagh, Saidabad, Kurmaguda, Madannapet, Rakshapuram, Goulipura, and Akkannamadanna Haribowli temples. After visiting the Bhagyalakshmi Ammavari temple, he addressed thousands of devotees at the Lal Darwaja Simhawahi.
He said that the tradition of offering Bonalu dates back 250 years when, during a plague outbreak, people prayed for relief, vowing to build a temple to the goddess and celebrate Bonalu. 'With the goddess' grace, the disease subsided, leading to the construction of the Mahankali temple in Secunderabad, where Bonal festivals are celebrated grandly. In 1908, following devastating floods in Hyderabad caused by the Musi River, prayers to the goddess also helped. Since then, it has become a tradition to celebrate the Bonala festival at Lal Darwaja,' he added.
Sanjay Kumar said that the festival allows the celebration of all goddesses, including Bhagya Lakshmi, who is believed to protect Bhagyanagara.
Every year, the Bonala festival is celebrated with great grandeur across the country, preserving our culture. No matter the changes through generations, the Bonala festival continues without interruption, and 'we offer Bonam to the goddesses as is our custom. I will continue to uphold Hindu traditions and work to protect this country and Hindu Dharma for my entire life.'
Further, 'We owe our well-being to the grace of Goddess Simha Vahini and the compassion of Goddess Bhagya Lakshmi.' He recalled that he had successfully completed the Praja Sangrama Yatra with their blessings, spreading Hinduism throughout Telangana.

Lucknow, July 25 (UNI) The controversy surrounding former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav's political meeting inside a mosque refuses to die down, as the BJP and clerics continue their attacks on the Samajwadi Party chief. On the other hand, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, national president of the All-India Muslim Jamaat, condemned Dimple Yadav's conduct and attire during the meeting, alleging that it violated the sanctity of the mosque. He referred to her as a 'political Hindu woman' and claimed she failed to maintain the appropriate decorum expected within a mosque. 'A mosque is the house of God, and no political party meeting should take place there,' Razvi said. The gathering was reportedly arranged by Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi, the Imam of the mosque at Parliament Street in Delhi. Razvi also alleged that, along with Akhilesh Yadav, SP leaders such as Dharmendra Yadav, Zia Ur Rehman Barq, and several other Hindu individuals were present inside the mosque during the meeting. The presence of two women, he noted, was against Sharia principles. He demanded that Maulana Mohibullah seek forgiveness and apologize to the Muslim community for his actions, accusing him of turning a sacred space into a political platform. 'If he does not seek forgiveness, Muslim organizations will launch protests against him and appeal to the mosque committee to dismiss him from his position as Imam,' he added. The BJP also launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party chief, saying that 'writing slogans on posters does not change one's deeds.' The criticism came in response to a poster displayed outside the SP headquarters, which claimed that Akhilesh Yadav refrains from divisive politics and avoids using religious sites like temples and mosques for political purposes. BJP spokesperson Manish Shukla said, 'Samajwadi Party's politics is deeply entrenched in religion. Akhilesh Yadav's attempts to mix politics with religion are well known. His wife, Dimple Yadav, accompanied him on one such visit, drawing criticism from several clerics.' Shukla said, 'During a meeting near the Parliament complex, Dimple Yadav was questioned by a cleric over her attire and behaviour inside the mosque. The cleric even demanded an apology. Had a Hindu priest made such remarks, SP's online supporters would have erupted in anger against the Hindu community. Savarkar case: UP govt accuses Rahul Gandhi of deliberately spreading hatred

It pleaded for the dismissal of Gandhi's plea. The affidavit said that allegations of promoting enmity and public mischief under the Indian Penal Code's sections 153A and 505 are applicable against Gandhi. It cited the investigation in the case and added that it indicated deliberate spreading of hatred through pre-planned actions. In April, the court slammed Gandhi for calling Savarkar a 'servant' of the British while staying the proceedings against him. The court noted the statement was made in Maharashtra, where Savarkar is 'worshipped as a God'. 'Let him not make any statements on freedom fighters without knowing any history or geography about it,' the court said. The court reminded Gandhi that his grandmother, Indira Gandhi, wrote a letter praising Savarkar when she was the Prime Minister. It referred to Mahatma Gandhi, who communicated to the British Viceroy, addressing himself as a faithful 'servant'. Rahul Gandhi referred to the pension Savarkar received from the British while calling him a 'servant of the British'. The court said that one does not become a servant just like that. 'One day, you will say that Gandhiji was also a servant of the British,' the court said. 'This is not the way you treat freedom fighters.' Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, who appeared for Rahul Gandhi, assured the court that no further statement shall be made. The court warned that if any further statement is made, it will take it up suo motu (on its own). 'We will not allow anybody to make any statement against freedom fighters.' Gandhi moved the top court against the Allahabad high court's April 4 order rejecting his plea for quashing the complaint against him. Nripendra Pandey, a lawyer, filed the complaint against Gandhi, saying his remarks against Savarkar hurt Hindu sentiments. He argued Gandhi insulted a leader who fought for India's freedom. The trial court, in its summons, observed Gandhi spread hatred and ill-will in society through his speech against Savarkar. The complaint against Gandhi was initially dismissed in June 2023. It was revived on a revision petition. Gandhi argued in the high court that the allegations against him do not amount to the offences he has been accused of.

Tensions began rising between the Southeast Asian neighbours in May, following the killing of a Cambodian soldier during a brief exchange of gunfire, and have steadily escalated since, triggering diplomatic spats and now, armed clashes. Thailand and Cambodia have for more than a century contested sovereignty at various undemarcated points along their 817 km (508 miles) land border, which was first mapped by France in 1907 when Cambodia was its colony. The map, which Thailand later contested, was based on an agreement that the border would be demarcated along the natural watershed line between the two countries. An 11th century Hindu temple called Preah Vihear, or Khao Phra Viharn in Thailand, has been at the heart of the dispute for decades, with both Bangkok and Phnom Penh claiming historical ownership. The International Court of Justice awarded the temple to Cambodia in 1962, but Thailand has continued to lay claim to the surrounding land. Tensions also rose in February when a group of Cambodians escorted by troops sang their national anthem at another ancient Hindu temple that both countries claim, Ta Moan Thom, before being stopped by Thai soldiers. Clashes broke out between the two countries early on Thursday along a disputed area abutting an ancient temple, rapidly spilling over to other areas along the contested frontier and heavy artillery exchanges continuing for a second straight day. Thailand recalled its ambassador to Phnom Penh on Wednesday and expelled Cambodia's envoy, in response to a second Thai soldier losing a limb to a landmine that Bangkok alleged had been laid recently by rival troops. Cambodia called that accusation baseless. Both sides accuse each other of firing the first shots that started the conflict on Thursday, which have so far claimed the lives of at least 15 civilians, most of them on the Thai side. Some 130,000 people have been evacuated from border areas in Thailand to safer locations, while some 12,000 families on the Cambodian side have been shifted away from the frontlines, according to local authorities, according to Reuters. Since Thursday's clashes, Cambodia has written to the United Nations Security Council, urging the body to convene a meeting to stop what it describes as 'unprovoked and premeditated military aggression" by Thailand. Thailand, on the other hand, wants to resolve the conflict through bilateral negotiations but says talks can only take place after Cambodia ceases violence. For Cambodian citizens who are living, working, or studying in Thailand and may be facing pressure from discrimination and wish to return to Cambodia, please come back to our country." Several countries have warned their nationals against travelling to the border areas between Thailand and Cambodia amid escalating tensions. United States: It has asked its nationals travelling or living near the Thailand border to 'follow direction from Thai security services and consult local government authorities for the latest information." United Kingdom: The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advisory said: 'Take extra care and stay alert in border areas and follow the instructions of local authorities, especially at tourist destinations such as the Preah Vihear temple, the Ta Kwai temple and the Ta Muen Thom temple. There are also unexploded landmines in the border area. Stay on marked paths, especially around Ta Krabey." Thailand's embassy in Phnom Penh: The advisory said people should leave Cambodia as soon as possible. China: The embassy has urged its citizens in Cambodia to refrain from travelling to areas near the border and 'remain vigilant."
