Meet the poodle that's part of a lifeguard pack in Spain
Nilo certainly looks the part, with a life vest strapped to his chest and suncream on his nose. However, you're unlikely to find many other Poodles working on the beaches in the country as other breeds tend to be used there - like Labradors and Newfoundlands.Poodles are thought to have originated in Germany and were historically used for water rescue in northern Europe, where their fur would protect them from the cold.According to Miguel that their name comes the German verb "puddeln" which means 'to splash'.
Poodles aren't just known for their fluffy fur, the American Kennel Club says they are very intelligent and are great learners.Miguel says Nilo at first was scared of loud noises and crowds so his training had to be done a step at a time. But he says it wasn't long until he was out there swimming with "perfect strokes" and "using his tail perfectly like a rudder to run and to move".One thing's for sure, if someone got rescued by this super pooch, they'd certainly have a tail to tell!

Jamie Carragher was forced to think outside the box after recently being denied entry into a nightclub. The Sky Sports pundit, 47, has been enjoying some downtime over the summer months ahead of the coming campaign. On Friday Carragher shared a snap alongside his wife of 20 years Nicola, with the pair enjoying a picturesque boat trip on the Spanish island of Ibiza. However, it appears that the former England international's evening wasn't quite over yet. In a video shared to X by non-league footballer Leon Greenland, Carragher appears to be denied entrance into an establishment for failing to have the appropriate footwear. Seemingly undeterred by the initial rejection, Carragher then appears in a subsequent video having managed to make his way inside after reportedly purchasing some ill-fitting trainers. Fair to say @Carra23 really didn't want to admit defeat last night when refused entry for flip flops. A quick shopping trip later….. he's in😂😂😂 FIND A WAY TO WIN! — Leon Greenland (@Greenland_Leon) July 12, 2025 A video appearing to show Jamie Carragher being denied entry into a nightclub has gone viral on social media The Liverpool legend later managed to make his way inside, having seemingly purchased a pair of ill-fitting trainers to meet the dress code In a video circulated widely on social media, Carragher can be seen hilariously flaunting his new shoes before offering some sage advice. 'Hey, I got in!' He can be seen saying. 'What do I always say on Sky? Find a way to win. We find a way to win.' The incident comes after Carragher was seen dressed as Willy Wonka for his daughter Mia's 21st birthday. The Champions League winner ditched his usual pundit attire for a purple velvet coat, top hat, and oversized bow tie as he channeled the eccentric chocolate factory owner in celebration of his daughter's milestone. Mia, who was dressed as Poison Ivy, marked her birthday in style with a lavish party surrounded by family and friends. But it was her dad's eye-catching outfit that stole the show on social media. The 47-year-old posed proudly in full costume, sharing photos and videos from the party on Instagram. He wrote: 'What a great night for Mia's 21st birthday fancy dress party,' alongside a heart, dancing and beers emojis.

Jennifer Lopez, 55, displays her famous curves in sequinned leotard and knee-high boots as she performs at festival in Spain
Jennifer Lopez put on a leggy display while performing at the Marenostrum Fuengirola festival in Malaga, Spain, on Friday. The Ain't Your Mama hitmaker, 55, flaunted her famous curves in a dazzling silver sequinned leotard as she dazzled under the limelight. The singer stunned the crowd despite being forced to delay her gig by an hour due to strong winds. But once she jumped on stage, Jennifer commanded attention as she performed some of her most iconic tunes. The star added glamorous sparkling silver knee-boots and a matching newsboy hat. Giving even more bling to her ravishing outfit, she wore a gold tasselled jacket, which she played around with. The Anaconda actress also showcased her dancing skills as she put on a sultry choreography alongside her dancing crew. And taking to the stage on Tuesday, the star revealed she was suffering from insomnia when she wrote her new song that appears to be about her ex-husband Ben Affleck. Insomnia is a common sleep disorder characterised by persistent difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or both, and can significantly impact daily life. 'This is a song that is a new song that I want to sing for the first time tonight that came to me when I was up all night one night,' Jennifer told the crowd per footage shared to social media. 'Shall we sing this one for the people?' The crooner —who first sang the song at a private fan event July 2—said she's 'better' now. 'The love I want, the love I need, it starts in me,' she sang. She then added, 'Now I found my way here I'm gonna stay there. Thank you for the scars you left on my heart, was showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark. I won't fall apart because of who we are, but your broken parts.' And she said the heartbreak made her 'wiser.' 'Because of you, I am stronger, wiser,' Lopez belted out. 'Better than I've ever been.' Then Jennifer made it very clear she would never reunite with Ben: 'I won't let you no longer, longer, ever say goodbye to me. It was perfect while you made me believe, really got only greater for me, and it made me stronger, stronger, bulletproof. Now watch me climb out of the wreckage of you.' She then thanked the unnamed ex for 'the pain that you caused.' In May she told El Pais that the actor split was a 'difficult time' but she would be stronger for it. 'I'm proud of myself for that and I'm proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they're stronger and better because of it.' The pop favourite appeared in great spirits amid the sizzling show as she enjoyed her first tour in six years. Jennifer and Ben tied the knot in 2022 after rekindling their romance.
