Masry sign Ahly midfielder El-Saaiy on loan - Egyptian Football
Egyptian Premier League side Masry have signed Ahly midfielder Omar El-Saaiy on a one-season loan, the Port Said-based club announced on Wednesday. Related Masry appoint Tunisian coach Kouki as new manager El-Saaiy, a former Ismaily player, signed a five-year deal with Ahly in the summer of 2024 in a transfer worth $1 million, but fell out of favour under former coach Marcel Koller. The 22-year-old made just 10 appearances last season, totaling 290 minutes, and was left out of Ahly's squad for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup. Mitrović's chances of playing in Club World Cup very slim
The Serbian forward suffered a leg injury ahead of his team's opening match against Real Madrid and has yet to appear in the tournament. The Saudi club made history by reaching the quarter-finals after defeating English giants Manchester City 4-3 in the round of 16. At this stage, Al-Hilal will face Brazilian side Fluminense, who eliminated European Champions League finalists Inter Milan. Former Fulham striker Mitrović, who joined Al-Hilal in summer 2023, scored 28 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions last season.
