The fight marks Paul's first since his win over legend Mike Tyson last November in what was the most-streamed sporting event on Netflix, with an estimated 65 million viewers. Paul (11-1), 28, is on a five-fight winning streak – against Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland, Mike Perry, and Tyson – since suffering his first loss to Tommy Fury in February 2023.
Chávez Jr. (54-6-1), the son of Mexican icon Julio Cesar Chavez, last held a major world title in 2012. The 39-year-old will enter on a two-fight winning streak after most recently defeating former UFC fighter Uriah Hall by unanimous decision last July.

When the teams returned, Chelsea was called for a handball in stoppage time when the ball hit Malo Gusto's hand. 'For 85 minutes we were in control. After the break, the match changed. It's not the same game,' Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca. 'You suspend a game (for two hours), to me that's not football. I struggle to understand it. … We have been here two weeks and they have suspended six or seven games, so something is not working here.' UFC 317 results: Joshua Van out-dogs Brandon Royval in elite flyweight thriller

Joshua Van has arrived. If it wasn't already apparent that he's elite, Van (15-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) proved that Saturday at UFC 317 when he defeated Brandon Royval (17-8 MMA, 7-4 UFC) by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) in an elite flyweight featured fight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Van's power and timing proved the difference. In Round 1, he out-timed Royval in the exchanges and appeared to land the more effective shots. Although Rovval came on strong in Round 3, Van dug deeped and out-dogged "Raw Dawg." In the final moments of the bout, Van may have stole the fight on the judges' scorecards as he badly stunned and dropped Royval. Though the buzzer saved Royval, he was still wobbly when he got up the shake hands with Van after the horn. The bout was one of the year's best by many accounts. Van and Royval showed off elite technical abilities, but also provided exciting levels of violence. Prior to the bout, Dana White said the winner of the bout would be next for the winner of Saturday's co-main event between flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja and challenger Alexandre Pantoja. Van, 23, made his amateur debut in December 2020 and his professional debut in October 2021. He's fought at incredible pacing with 17 fights as a professional in under four years. Since a knockout loss to Charles Johnson in July 2024, Van has won five-straight fights. Royval, 32, entered UFC 317 off back-to-back wins over Brandon Moreno and Tatsuro Taira. The victories followed a title challenge loss to Alexandre Pantoja in December 2023. Up-to-the-minute UFC 317 results:

Paul vs. Chavez results: Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez retains cruiserweight belts vs. Yuniel Dorticos, calls for Jai Opetaia unification fight

Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez is still a champion, with an even bigger fight ahead of him. The WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion handled mandatory challenger Yuniel Dorticos via unanimous decision (115-112, 115-112, 117-110) on Saturday, improving his record to 48-1. The win sets up a potential unification fight against the other top cruiserweight in the world, IBF champion Jai Opetaia. Advertisement Ramirez said he would welcome the fight while speaking with Uncrowned's Ariel Helwani after the match: "Yeah, that's the fight that I want. I'm the king. Numero uno ... I want it. I want it all. Get ready." Also looming was the main attraction of the night: Jake Paul, who is targeting a cruiserweight world title shot in 2026 and has said that his team is in discussions to challenge either Ramirez or WBC titleholder Badou Jack. Ramirez entered the fight heavily favored to defend his belts, but the proceedings were more even than expected. Dorticos won a few of the early rounds and was on pace for the upset of the night before Ramirez adjusted, circling his opponent more and landing a series of 1-2s in the later rounds. Ramirez clearly held the advantage on the scorecards, especially because Dorticos lost a point after the ref took a point away when he landed three straight low blows after multiple warnings.
