However, the actor has now dismissed the rumours and clarified that he is not doing the upcoming season of Bigg Boss.
During an interview with Filmibeat, the actor stated that he can never be a part of a show like Bigg Boss even if he was offered Rs 20 crore.
Ram said, "I will never ever come into Bigg Boss even if they offer me Rs 20 crore because that kind of show is not for me. That doesn't mean it's a bad show, I know it's a very, very successful show.
My point is, I consider myself an actor."
He further shared, "These kinds of shows, while very successful, are mostly about voyeurism. Whether it's Bigg Boss or any other reality show, there's no real talent being showcased — it's just about people watching others live their lives. And that's okay, but it's not something I'm comfortable with. I'm a very private person, and honestly, I'd be the worst fit for Bigg Boss."
Ram Kapoor set the record straight, "If given a choice, has to make right choices, if at all he will do a show like Bigg Boss, he will be forgotten in no time. "So I am not coming to Bigg Boss, I will never come to Bigg Boss because reality shows are not for me."
On the professional front, Ram is busy promoting his upcoming project Mistry which is an official adaptation of hit English series, The Monk.
While Ram has no interest in participating in Bigg Boss 19, the makers have started preparations for the upcoming season. The new season will have a Rewind theme and the makers also plan to introduce the secret room.

Ram Kapoor has finally addressed the controversy that led to him being sidelined from the promotions of his new show Mistry. In a candid interview, the seasoned actor opened up about his reaction to the backlash over inappropriate sexual remarks he made during an earlier interview, and how he dealt with what he described as his 'first controversy in 25 years." Speaking to Zoom, Ram said, 'I am literally the happiest man in the whole country right now. I was so nervous and so scared because of all the controversy and everything. The fact that nobody has allowed all this to matter to the show is something that I will forever be thankful for." Despite being removed from promotional duties, Ram maintained a calm perspective, choosing introspection over panic. 'I try not to make anything into too big a deal. All the big deals in our life are choices that we make. When this news hit, my family, network, and staff went berserk. But I told everyone, 'Why are you all reacting so much? I will handle it.'" 'Things have to be handled, but without panic… If you don't allow anything to become a big deal, you won't let it affect you too much." Reacting to a cryptic Instagram post he made at the time, which read, 'Even if your life is in chaos, never forget your goals". Ram clarified, 'It didn't bother me… I've had such a long career. Whatever was happening publicly, I was handling it. But privately, on social media, the kind of support I received from the press and the industry—you can't imagine." He admitted the incident was a learning experience. 'Yes, what had happened should not have happened. I definitely need to make sure that I don't become like this again when I'm with people who don't know me well." Location : Mumbai, India, India First Published: July 09, 2025, 01:40 IST

The court had granted anticipatory bail, and he will be released after recording his arrest, as per the Kochi police. The police had registered a case against Soubin Shahir, an actor-producer, and Shawn Antony, a producer, on a complaint by Siraj Valiathara Hameed that they had not paid him the share of the profit made from the movie, despite his contribution of Rs 7 crore towards its production.
