DataVisor Named 'AI-based Fraud Prevention Solution of the Year' in 2025 Artificial Intelligence Breakthrough Awards Program
DataVisor's platform rises above a crowded AI landscape by combining three core breakthroughs—patented Unsupervised Machine Learning (UML), adaptive Supervised ML (SML), and Generative AI-driven automation—into a single, high-impact fraud and financial crime prevention solution. This empowers institutions to identify unknown threats in real time, reduce false positives, and automate fraud operations at scale.
DataVisor's UML identifies emerging fraud patterns without requiring historical labels, pinpointing coordinated attacks that might involve thousands of accounts acting in concert. This approach enables real-time, proactive detection of new threats, allowing organizations to stay ahead of rapidly advancing crime rings. DataVisor's UML captures over 80% of coordinated and previously unseen fraud attacks, enabling early detection with more than 98% precision and clear, explainable detection reasons.
DataVisor's SML enhances detection by learning from historical fraud patterns, filtering out noise, and significantly reducing false positives. Unlike other vendors that only offer generic, pre-trained models, DataVisor customizes each SML deployment to the customer's specific data and fraud typologies, resulting in higher detection accuracy and fewer manual reviews. For organizations without a strong data foundation or historical fraud labels, DataVisor will also provide the option to leverage a consortium model for specific use cases, ensuring effective detection from day one.
DataVisor continues to redefine AI-driven fraud defense with AI Co-Pilot, a generative-AI automation engine that reduces manual workloads. For example, its intelligent rule-tuning module mines historical data, runs thousands of threshold and logic simulations, and automatically fine-tunes detection rules—cutting false positives by up to 50% and dramatically boosting operational efficiency.
'AI has been at the core of DataVisor since day one, powering everything from unsupervised machine learning to today's generative-AI Co-Pilot,' said Fang Yu, co-founder and Chief Product Officer at DataVisor. 'Our mission is—and always has been—to stay one step ahead of fraud, detecting both known and emerging schemes in real time so our customers can shut down attacks before they start. We're truly grateful to AI Breakthrough for this award, and we'll keep pushing the boundaries of AI innovation so every client can instantly adapt to novel threats and unlock deeper insights from their own data.'
The AI Breakthrough Awards shine a spotlight on the boldest innovators and most impactful technologies leading the charge in AI across a comprehensive set of categories, including Generative AI, Computer Vision, AIOps, Agentic AI, Robotics, Natural Language Processing, industry-specific AI applications and many more. This year's program attracted more than 5,000 nominations from over 20 different countries throughout the world, underscoring the explosive growth and global importance of AI as a defining technology of the 21st century.
'DataVisor's single, high-impact fraud and financial crime prevention solution provides an all-encompassing AI shield against fraud. Fraud detection relies on quickly and precisely identifying abnormal patterns and behaviors to uncover hidden threats and mitigate risks before they escalate. However, this requires tools that can accurately handle huge amounts of data,' said Steve Johansson, managing director, AI Breakthrough. 'DataVisor is a self-evolving, enterprise-grade solution that harnesses AI to tangibly improve efficiency, reduce fraud losses, and help businesses scale securely in a fast-moving digital world. As a result, we're thrilled to award DataVisor with 'AI-based Fraud Prevention Solution of the Year!''

Fair Aim Capital Launches £30m Investment Fund to Bridge AI Transformation Gap for UK SMEs
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fair Aim Capital, a newly formed family-backed investment firm, today announced the launch of its £30 million fund dedicated to acquiring and transforming UK small and medium-sized enterprises through AI implementation and digital marketing optimisation. The fund addresses a critical market gap as ONS research reveals 68% of UK SMEs do not use artificial intelligence technologies, despite SMEs representing 99.8% of all UK businesses and employing 60% of private sector workers. Furthermore, 69% have no plans to do so in the next 3 months. Fair Aim Capital launches £30m investment fund to bridge AI transformation gap for UK SMEs as they risk being left behind. ONS research reveals 68% of UK SMEs do not use AI technologies, despite SMEs representing 99.8% of all UK businesses. Share The investment firm will target profitable UK businesses generating £1-3 million EBITDA, acquiring majority stakes and working alongside management teams to implement AI-first operating models that accelerate revenue growth. "We're witnessing a concerning divergence in the UK economy," said Andrew Harkness, CEO of Fair Aim Capital. "Large enterprises are investing heavily in AI transformation and pulling ahead, whilst the backbone of our economy, SMEs that employ three in five workers, risk being permanently left behind. This isn't about lacking ambition; it's about lacking the capital, expertise, and bandwidth to execute meaningful change." Recent data from LinkedIn shows that amongst early AI adopters, 76% report substantial time savings and 50% achieve revenue growth exceeding 10% within 24 months, gains that successful businesses are reinvesting in innovation and customer relationships rather than workforce reductions. Fair Aim Capital plans to invest in 3-5 assets over the next 3-4 years, working as transformation partners rather than traditional financial investors, with target exits in 3-5 years. "AI transformation isn't about replacing people, it's about freeing talented teams to focus on creativity, strategy, and high-value client work that drives revenue acceleration," explained Alan Lipschitz, Founder of Fair Aim Capital, who previously led marketing technology company Incubeta to global scale before its successful exit to Carlyle in 2023. "AI-enabled businesses will command premium valuations compared to traditional operations." The fund targets business services and professional services sectors where AI applications can deliver immediate improvements to customer acquisition, customer experience and operations. "The window for transformation is closing rapidly," added Harkness, who brings 15+ years of private equity-backed leadership experience. "SMEs that act decisively in the next 12-18 months will establish competitive advantages that compound for years." About Fair Aim Capital Fair Aim Capital is a family-backed investment firm focused on acquiring and transforming UK lower mid-market businesses through AI and digital marketing driven growth. Founded by serial entrepreneur Alan Lipschitz and led by CEO Andrew Harkness, the firm combines capital with hands-on operational expertise to create long-term value for all stakeholders.

Abu Dhabi Maritime Announces Third Edition of Maritime Awards with Seven New Categories
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In collaboration with the Integrated Transport Centre, an affiliate of the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Maritime, part of AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), is delighted to announce the third edition of the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards, to take place during the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show on 20 November 2025. The Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards aim to set benchmarks for excellence in marina management and operations throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye (MENAT) and to highlight their exceptional work. Submissions are now open to all licensed marina owners or operators throughout the MENAT region. Returning to the third edition are the five categories recognising exceptional performance by marinas in 'Customer Experience,' 'Employer Excellence,' 'Health & Safety,' 'Innovation,' and 'Sustainability.' The 'Outstanding Marina' award goes to the marina that has shown distinction across all five dimensions. New this year are six project and individual-based award categories to supplement the Awards' six existing accolades for marina organisations. A seventh new category, 'Outstanding Emerging Marina,' will become the programme's second top honour. Designed specifically for small and medium enterprises, it has the same criteria as the 'Outstanding Marina' category but is limited to marinas with 200 or fewer berths. 'Outstanding Marina' and 'Outstanding Emerging Marina' award applicants are automatically considered for the five organisational sub-categories. However, to ensure equitable opportunity for all participating marinas, winners of the top two honours will be excluded from wins in additional organisation-based categories. Three new project-based categories will reward the most impactful marina 'Sustainability Project,' 'Innovation Project,' and 'Wellbeing Project.' These awards give marinas a chance to showcase a single standout programme or initiative. These categories are designed to recognise targeted efforts with demonstrated success, rather than organisation-wide approaches. The three new individual categories will celebrate the people making a difference in the regional marina industry. With the 'Outstanding Leader Award,' 'Outstanding Service Hero Award,' and 'Rising Star Award,' the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards aim to acknowledge the managers and workers who inspire their colleagues, customers, and communities. Finally, the returning 'Most Popular Marina' recognition will also feature in the programme's 2025 edition. Later this year, members of the public will be invited to cast their votes for their favourite marina through a tamper-resistant online portal. More information on the awards programme, criteria, and application and assessment processes is available on the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards website and through its applicant portal.
