A recent Instagram update by Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron
James
got fans talking. But this time, it wasn't about basketball. James posted a series of videos in which he was seen playing golf.
His caption caught even more attention: he called golf "a mind f**k to say the least," summing up how challenging the sport feels to him.
NBA star LeBron James
shares his golf attempt with fans
On July 4, LeBron James uploaded videos to his verified Instagram account (@kingjames) showing himself practicing golf swings on a bright sunny course. The
NBA
legend, known for his dominance on the basketball court, is now trying his hand at something different.
James wrote in his caption, "Day 2 of officially trying this out! Boy o Boy it's a mind fuck to say the least! But I think I enjoy that part of it a lot! Haha! . Got a long ass way to go at this sport and I'll still be some but hey it's a great time out there! @teamswish asked me for a vid so here you go my guy! Slid 4 is so funny to me! @siancotton_ @rometrav @ernieramos @chillwill03 @smallzthevillain when we going back out there?? LET'S GO!!!"
The post showed clips of his drive, and while his form looked a bit stiff, he managed decent distance. LeBron also added that he was just getting started in the
game
and hinted at how difficult it has been to pick up.

This isn't LeBron's first time swinging a golf club. Back in 2013, he appeared in a Samsung commercial with comedian Kevin Hart where they both tried to golf. His swing back then drew comparisons to NBA legend Charles Barkley's famously awkward form. But now, it seems James is taking the sport a bit more seriously and here's the proof.

In the videos, fans noticed his power-packed drive but didn't see any footage of his short game or iron play. That suggests he's focusing on the basics before moving to more advanced shots.
James seems to be first-hand learning that golf is a psychologically demanding and humbling game. Still engaged with the Los Angeles Lakers, a four-time NBA champion hasn't revealed any plans for retirement. Given his level of athleticism, though, some wonder whether golf might fit into his future post-basketball life.

Russian woman in Bengaluru lists things she does in India that others find 'cringe'

Iuliia Aslamova shares her list of totally normal things she does while living in India.(Screengrab Instagram/@yulia_bangalore) 'Here's my list of absolutely normal things for yours #russianindian,' the caption of the reel reads. In the caption of her reel, she explains how she lives with her in-laws and enjoys it, saying it's a blessing since she doesn't have to manage the house herself. She also talks about eating with her hands, something she now does often and even claims makes food taste better. She goes on to say she's become comfortable with the Indian concept of being a little late. A 15- 20 minute delay doesn't bother her, and she simply plans around it. Having several house helpers, which felt unusual at first, now seems like a smart and convenient part of her daily life. Check out the viral video here: Iuliia mentions picking up bits of Hinglish and promises to learn Hindi properly in a year or two. She also highlights the Indian habit of negotiating as a surprising but useful skill she has gained here, calling it a 'superpower.' In the final few points, she talks about enjoying masala chai and how everything in India, from films to daily conversations, seems to be about love. Here's how people reacted to this video: The video mostly got positive reactions, with many praising Iuliia's warm and relatable take on Indian life. A few viewers, however, felt she oversimplified certain issues. One of the users, @sonalseth1, commented, 'Sorry to say but this. Is because you are not of Indian origin, so you are treated a little differently by your in-laws…' Another user, @kaviya_gowthaman, commented, 'Love your points. While many complain about the in-laws, there are some gems of MILs who understand and don't pass the generational trauma.' The reel not only offered a light-hearted look at cross-cultural habits but also sparked a friendly debate online about what's considered 'normal' or 'cringe.'

Harmann Kaur: There are no mistakes in fashion

What stood out for her wasn't just the questions people asked or the selfies they took, but the sincerity with which they approached her. Her advice to them wasn't about brands or trends but about confidence. 'These days, especially with social media, people end up looking at others' pictures and feeling intimidated in some way; even the most confident ones go through that. So, I told them to just stay true to themselves and be confident in whatever they wear. You can be of any body type or belong to any economic class; fashion is not defined by any of that. There are no price tags to fashion. You can wear something very simple and still elevate it,' she expressed. Her own sense of style started young: as early as five, she recalled being picky about her birthday outfit, matching her shoes and hair accessories to perfection. Harmann noted, 'I would really trouble my parents to take me shopping, not just for clothes but also for matching shoes and hair accessories; everything had to look a certain way. There was no Instagram or Pinterest back then, but I always had a clear picture in my head of what I wanted. That love eventually led me to become a stylist.' Despite not having any formal training, her eye for fashion and instinct gave her the big break — styling Allu Arjun. 'I feel genuinely lucky that everything happened so fast. It all started with Allu Arjun sir, who was looking for a personal stylist. Back then, I was very new. I had the aesthetic, the fashion sense and taste in me but no experience as a stylist, so I learnt a lot while working with him. Within two to three months, I began giving inputs and understood the game and the business behind it. Then I got to style Vijay Deverakonda, followed by Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, and cricketers,' she added.

Watch: Ruben Neves, Cancelo break down; Neto carries special shirt in honour of Diogo Jota, Andre Silva

Pedro Neto, Joao Cancelo and Ruben Neves were emotional during their respective FIFA Club World Cup matches after the passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva. Al-Hilal players Ruben Neves and João Cancelo were inconsolable and broke down during a minute's silence in honour of their Portuguese teammate Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva who died in a car crash on Thursday. The minute's silence was held during the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final match against Fluminense FC. In the day's second quarter-final, Chelsea's Pedro Neto carried a special shirt mentioning the names of Diogo and Andre while walking towards the pitch. The match marked the trio's first appearance since learning about the tragic incident in Spain involving their longtime teammate from Portugal. Neves and Cancelo were visibly emotional during the pre-match tributes, with Cancelo needing to pause and kneel on the grass when images of Jota and Andre appeared on the screen. Jota shared a significant history with both Neves and Cancelo, having played together for over six years in Portugal and celebrating a Nations League triumph. Neves and Jota also played together at Wolves in the Premier League before Jota's transfer to Liverpool in 2020. Al-Hilal's head coach Simone Inzaghi addressed the emotional impact of the situation on his players, stating: "We all know it's a very sad day because of what happened to Diogo and André. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo These things should never happen. We're all aware of the tragedy. We have two Portugal players Rúben Neves and João Cancelo who were friends to them. Today has been a very difficult day for all of us. We tried to work in the same way but the atmosphere was different. It's a very, very sad tragedy." Neves shared his feelings through an emotional Instagram post: "Wherever you are, I know you'll read this. We've never been that stupid and maybe now I regret it a little, but you know what you mean to me as much as I know what I mean to you… Life brought us together and now it can't separate us. We've achieved beautiful things together, we still have a lot to achieve, I know we'll make it. Starting today, you'll enter the field with me, and we'll follow our path together, on the stage where we met. Diogoal, you are my favorite lemonade!!" The match concluded with Al-Hilal losing 2-1 to Fluminense, eliminating them from the Club World Cup competition. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story.
